    Ingredients for Groundnut Soup
    - 500g raw peeled groundnuts (peanuts)
    - Assorted meat and fish. I use:
    - Beef
    - Shaki (cow tripe)
    - Dry fish
    - Stock fish
    - Palm Oil
    - A small bunch of Nigerian Pumpkin leaves / 6 cubes Frozen Spinach / Bitterleaf
    - 2 tablespoons ground crayfish
    - 2 big stock cubes
    - Salt & ground dry cayenne pepper: to taste
    The make of the groundnut grinder is Braun. I think it has been discontinued. You can buy Krups which is a great alternative:

    I really love your groundnut recipe and how you blended ur groundnut leaving it crunchy just like the Egwusi texture(unlike the paste method I see). When u roasted the nuts before blending, I confirmed that u're the chief chef of UA-cam nation.

    This is GOOD Chinyere. I did NOT know that you have this GroundNut/PeaNut Soup Recipe. For those of us that are in USA where Egwusi is HARD to get at least we can use US PeaNuts. Very GOOD alternative or should I say "Very GOOD Egwusi sister Soup Number 2 " Thank you Chinyere. Everything you do is very, very well done ( second to none).

    Ehen!! this is how i knew it long time ago, you know at first i was so confused when i saw peanut butter and didn't see anyone ut thank God you posted this vidoe so nice and original, @Chritenvie my own mum won't even let you use blender to blend her peanut she'll asked you yo use the local pistol and mortar and pound it then when it is well smooth she"ll still add onions for you to pound she believes that's the only way to get the real taste, and she uses bitter leave in place of any leave, just try bitter leaf with it you'll never forget the taste, once again thank you for this video.

    Can we use just fish instead of the assorted meat to cook this good looking delicious meal.? And does this soup gives lots of pimples too been the fact that is made with groundnut/peanut .? plz reply asap thx am planning to have a go at this tomorrow will be expecting d feedback thx alot

    • @FloChinyere
      @FloChinyere  10 років тому +1

      Akinyooyebosede Mayowa Fadashe yes, you can use only fish or only meat. I don't know about pimples and peanuts. It depends on one's skin type. I know people that eat 1 bottle of peanuts a day yet they have the mot blemish-free faces. ;)

  • @FloChinyere
    @FloChinyere  11 років тому

    It should be able to handle any vegetable so you can add squash. But if you will use the soup to eat Nigerian fufu meals and if you are making it for a Nigerian, it is better to use leafy green vegetables. :)

    Please can you do a short tutorial on how to get rid of all the sand in dry fish especially the very dark ones. I always have sand in them no matter how had I try. Thanks for this video too

    • @FloChinyere
      @FloChinyere  10 років тому

      Adesuwa Idehen in most of my Nigerian soups recipes, I show how I soak them for sometime before rinsing them thoroughly. That should get rid of the sand (if any). You can also use a soft kitchen brush to scrub the skin of the fish. When you buy the dry fish, try and buy the ones that look clean. If the fish looks dusty, that means it contains lots of sand that you may not be able to get off.
