I love Kerby's birds and wildlife scenes, they are also lovely to color. It's neat to see your completed pages, you always have a nice sense of how you use reds.
His reflections book is awesome. I think the picture you were thinking about could be in that one, maybe. His artwork is amazing, but intimidating. As you say, just going through our books enjoying the artwork. Beautiful work hon Tysmfs 💜💜
It really is intimidating but also so much fun! The paper is so good it really tolerates experimentation. But you don't have to ever color in one of his books! Just looking through them admiring the talent it takes to draw one of those pages is so enjoyable!
I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR YOUR KERBY AUDIT YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. And omg the squid page in Animorphia with the dark lighting would be so damn cool....you know me, I may switch from the flamingos haha. Thank you for all the lovely comments about my lighting effects, I do love playing with light. I should really sit down and do some tutorials if I can figure out how to explain it. I'd love to see your version of the turtle all stormy and dark too! For the Orc warrior confusion - yes it is in another book, Reflections, where the image is flipped and repeated. And maybe I'm basis....but yes dinos?!?!? hehehe. Im down either way, i just love seeing your pages full stop. Hit me up if you do decided to head to prehistoric land!
you are the QUEEN of light sourcing!!! That turtle page still stuns me. I'd love to buddy a Kerby with you!! I'm doing the roosters this month but maybe Jan? Or if Xmas coloring gets too monotonous?? LOL...
@@HappyCatastrophy I'm definitely down for Jan! Maybe even December...maybe even this month haha. Honestly the way I'm blowing through my list I might be able to join ya for the roosters, I'm really knocking them out! I've still got a couple of detailed pages left so depending how they go maybe.... I'll message ya if I decide to go crazy and do ANOTHER kerby hahahaha
Hello 🐌 I haven't finished the video yet (I'm savoring it like candy 🥰), but I can already give you some information: in fact there is another book released at the same time by Fantomorphia. It seems that it was the publisher's wish to split to have two books: Fantomorphia and Geomorphia. They are together in some editions (the Polish one, under the title Fantomorphia and the British one (?) under the title Wondermorphia). Otherwise to talk about Kerby, what I like about him is that we see the evolution of his style: his drawings have become more refined, especially the human (or human-like)characters. (And in his new book to be published, he seems to have a style with much more shading/hatching). I find it quite amusing to see his reworkings of images or subjects in more recent books, like spider webs, nautiluses, the Sphinx, …
A colorist after my own heart!! I LOVE seeing the growth in artists over time. Have you noticed the changes in Joseph Catimbang from his earliest Mythographics to now? SO much growth! Thanks for the info on the two Kerby books...it makes much more sense now!

I have never noticed my reds!! I will have to pay attention to that. Kerby really is amazing isn't he?
@@HappyCatastrophy Definitely realistic with a twist of fantasy, which is a nice challenge.

Once again you had me loling at your little arguments with yourself! “Dingo stole my baby!” “No, he did not, and that is NOT a dingo!” 😂
Sometimes my mouth says things my brain can't back up. LOL
