Sometime you got to do what you got to do to get those deals!
Thrift With Me!
Thrifting is not about being cheap or depriving oneself of essential needs. Instead, it is about making conscious choices to spend money wisely and prioritize what truly matters. By practicing frugality, individuals can achieve financial independence, reduce debt, and build a sustainable future. Hear on this video are some thrifting tips that are valuable tools that can help anyone embrace this lifestyle and reap its benefits.
Thrift With Me Thrift Haul!
Come thrift with me while I find the deals. I love going out and finding deals at goodwill or at the thrift store. Goodwill bins are great! Its one of the many things I do to save money and its fun to do to. Nothing better than getting out and finding deals. I love to decorate my mobile home so I home I can find some thing in one of my trips.
Thrift With Me!
Another important aspect of frugal living is mindful spending. This means being intentional with purchases and avoiding impulse buying. Before making a purchase, frugal individuals often ask themselves if the item is necessary and if there are more affordable alternatives available. They compare prices, look for discounts or coupons, and consider the long-term value of the item. Mindful spending allows for more thoughtful consumption and reduces the chances of accumulating unnecessary possessions.
Thrift With Me While I Try To Find The Deals!
A minimalist lifestyle and frugal living can save money. Minimalism is all about living with less and focusing on what truly adds value and meaning to one's life. It encourages individuals to declutter their physical and mental spaces, eliminating unnecessary possessions and distractions. By simplifying their lives, minimalists find contentment in experiences and relationships rather than material possessions.
Thrift With Me At The Thrift Store!
Frugal living and minimalism can go together. How much stuff does one person need? Good question when trying to simplify and declutter. There are people who practice minimalism and some even call themselves Essentialists. By reducing the items a person has, it can be easier to organize your home. Buying what you need before you need it and on sale is a good practice to get into. Having less stuff can make life easier. But also get what you need. Finding a balance is important!
Thrifting Home Decor!
Goodwill Is Awesome!
To find contentment with frugal living, it's important to work with what you've got. I have put together a nice home by collecting the things I need and want, over several years. Basic items like blankets can be bought at thrift stores, to save money. Even better is if it is purchased off season and on sale. Buy things you will need when you can. This can reduce financial stress. It may be hard to build savings when living on a fixed income or a low income especially as the cost of living is so high. Being frugal is a choice for some and a necessity for others. Remember that a penny saved is a penny earned!

I'm going to try to have the next video released on Tuesday March 12th at 7 pm Eastern. Please turn on your notifications so you don't miss it! See you then!!!
Goodness that is one expensive thrift store.
Yes, the Goodwill was high! But it sure was fun to visit the thrift stores!
Goodwill is no longer much of a thrift store in my area. So many times the original price is still on the item and their price is much higher.
I was surprised to see how worn some of the shoes were, and expensive. The prices at Goodwill remind me of consignment store pricing on many items.
You're right,Goodwill is always so expensive here in N.C.! You picked beautiful shirts.❤.
Thank you! I love the shirts, too. I hope they last for a good long while. Goodwill is pricey. It used to be more affordable, but these days things are different. It's like going to a fast food place where the cost is what sit down restaurants used to cost!
Goodwill is very expensive, especially given the fact that all the items are donated. Those little coke cola glasses were sold at the dollar tree years ago here locally. Our Goodwill tries to sell things that should've been thrown in the trash. Try vinegar with baking soda make a paste and let it set on the stains. Looking forward to your next video. God Bless.
Hi Sara! Yes, it sure was expensive. I didn't realize the small coca-cola glasses were a dollar tree item! Thank you for the stain removal tip, I hope the sweat stains come out. Have a great weekend, Sara!
Thank you Care Free Living for sharing!🐦✨🐦
Thank you for watching my thrift with me video!
Wooohooo I love thrifting !! Looking forward to the new video !
I hope you enjoy it!
Make paste of powdered laundry detergent (I use Foca) & hydrogen peroxide. I use a $ tree paintbrush to apply to stains. Works miracles.
Thank you! About how long do you recommend I leave the paste on the stains?
@@CareFreeLivingChannel about 10 min.
Thank you so much!
So interesting to hear the prices. I used to be a big fan of our local GoodWill shop, A few years ago they suddenly began to increase the prices on most of their items to the point where bargains are far and few between.
The Goodwill is priced high. Some of the shoes looked very worn to me. If the items were in great condition then I could accept the pricing. But so many were in so-so condition!
That Goodwill is outrageously priced. I would provide their management with some feedback. They are double the price that they should be.
They were priced high! I enjoyed looking around at all the choices. I think the best deal was the brand new espresso cups new in the box!
You got some really cute shirts ! Great deals! Yes Goodwill is getting to be so expensive!
Thank you! I like the shirts, too. The green shirt is very "fancy", love the color! I have to hand wash that one. Yes, Goodwill was priced high in my opinion, but it was fun to look at everything they had!
Also, that green blouse will look awesome on you too. That color looks like it is one of those colors that always would l ook grat on you.
Thank you, I like green!
For those stains on the white shirt, put a lot of lemon juice, better fresh lemon, on the stains, even the slight one on the front and then set out in the sun, turn it so the sun gets everywhere, works a charm
Thank you so much!
Made me 😊!
I am sure it warmed your ❤s!
Have a great day -
Thank you so much! I am happy my video made you smile. Have a wonderful day!
Loft is good quality for sure. Great find. That is going to look awesome on you.
I like the Loft brand, too. Especially the price! I don’t mind and rather enjoy buying my clothing used.
GoodWill is known on UA-cam for high prices now. I saw a coffee mug on the shelf behind you (white with a band of colored pattern at the top) that are my everyday dishes. Been looking to replace a broken cup but you're to far away to come get it. Thrifting is a once every six months treat for me. Can't drive and hubby hates it.
Yes, the Goodwill is very high priced. Not sure why because they have so much inventory through donations. I can look around thrift stores for hours! I hope you get your replacement cup soon!
Nice video I liked the maroon shirt! ~Tink
Hi Tink! Thank you, I can't wait for everything to finish air drying so I can try it all on. I hope it fits! The maroon shirt is very pretty with the gold thread. Have a great weekend, Tink!
Loved the teacup pictures 😊
They were so cute! I love a good teacup!
Oh those little elves were so cute but goodness $8.99 each seems like a lot right !? 🙂
They were fun little trinket containers but they were priced high to me as well. I enjoy looking at things but some things are priced higher than I'm willing to pay!
Sarah, we love Mr. Turtle. We have Gnomeo as our door guardian.
Awww thank you! Mr. Turtle is so much fun. He came from the dump!
Looking forward to seeing another wonderful video.😚
Great! I hope you enjoy it, it should be fun!
Goodwill has gotten outrageous with their pricing. I can find new on clearance cheaper.
@deborahfenten7291 It sure was pricey at Goodwill! Always good to get items on clearance, that's great. I love a bargain!
That wooden box was a stationery holder for pen stamps and paper envelopes note cards
Oh! Thank you, I was curious what it was designed for. I like boxes to put little things in. I like the design of it!
Try dawn power wash. I have a cream color shirt I tried all kinds of thinks, the stains were stead fast. I decided I may as well try the dawn I can't hurt the shirt anymore. To my surprise every bit of the stain came out. New shirt.
That's great! You got that stain out! Thank you for your stain removal suggestion. To make the shirt new again will be fantastic!
Don't know how I missed this video. Some cute things at GoodWill. Some prices seemed high. Same at ours. Have a good week Sarah!
Hi Chris! Yes the Goodwill was pricey. Seems the cost of living has gone up even at the thrift store! Have a good night, Chris!
The GoodWill prices were way too high. Great finds with the clothing.
Thank you! I love a bargain. I wish Goodwill had been more affordable, their prices were high for me!
Hi Sarah, like your shirts and jeans. Have a great weekend 🎉
Thank you very much! I like the thrift store finds, too! The tops are so cute. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Sarah good haul. On the white shirt try baking soda and hydrogen peroxide. Make a paste and dab the stain. Let sit a while. It should work well on cotton. Ordinary bar soap rubbed on stain might also help. Sun-bleaching works on some fabrics.
Thank you for your suggestion on how to remove the stains! I want to make the shirt "new" again and freshen it up for the Summer season. I'm gonna get that stain!
I found this on pitt stains and it's worth a try. seems pretty natural and things you have.
Remove dried sweat stains by soaking clothing in a solution of white vinegar and water, then applying a stain removal paste of baking soda, salt and hydrogen peroxide to the affected area. Allow the mixture to rest, scrub the stain with an old toothbrush and machine wash in hot water.
Thank you for the laundry stain tip! I save toothbrushes for times like this!
I agree. The Goodwill in my area has really gone up in price too.
I enjoy looking at the items! The prices were a bit high for me!
I once cleaned a filthy white track suit that was covered in grease, sauce, gravy and all kinds of other stuff. It was worn while working as a cook in a food booth by another person. To get it looking brand new again, I put it in the sink for 2 days with some bleach, stain remover powder for white clothes and some Gain laundry soap. I'm sure Tide would work too but I am allergic to it so I only use Gain. I then washed it by hand after the 2 days and took it straight to the washer without rinsing it for a second cleaning. This outfit came out spotless and looked brand new! Some of the other colors of the stripes on the track suit did fade a bit from the bleach but it was amazing how well it came out. I did this before with my sons white dress shirt he wore to a wedding after he got sauce and blood on it. He has always got lots of bloody noses for no reason so there's been a lot of removing the stains. He's 20 now and still gets them and Mama still gets the stains out for him.
Thank you for your suggestion! There's hope for the white top! I appreciate your detailed instructions. The shirt being $1.25 was a great price and worth it to me to try and fix up. I don't like my own armpit stains, but definitely don't want someone else's armpit stains!
@@CareFreeLivingChannel I hope it comes clean for you. If not, you could dye it another color if you really want the shirt.
Oh that's a good back-up plan, thank you!
Very expensive prices at your goodwill store! Mine here in southern ky is no where near that.
Maybe you would consider doing a video where your taking to us and actually looking at the camera? ? It’s just nice to actually put a face with a voice! I enjoy your channel.
Yes, the Goodwill was expensive! I'm glad your store is more affordable. I may do that one day, thank you for your suggestion! Thank you for watching my channel, I appreciate it!
I liked the look and price of those sandwich makers very good value.
I like kitchen appliances to make life easier! Sandwich makers are helpful tools.
I would try lemon juice and then sprinkle salt on top of the pit stains and then lay it out In the Sun.
Thank you for your stain removal suggestion! I think for $1.25 the white top is worth it, to work on the stains. I hope it comes out.
goodwill has become so expensive! I'm shocked at the prices.
Goodwill prices are shocking! I do enjoy going and seeing what they have. I can "window shop" all day at thrift stores!
Those little houses with the cats on them are called the cats meow. They are highly coolectable. Best sold as lots, for anyone who is into flipping thrift finds. I only do that occasionally though. But I do enjoy the cats meow houses they are so cute. But I don't have anywhere to keep them. Though they were a little pricey there, but if on sale at the thrift store they could be a fun find.
That’s good info, thank you! I did not realize what it was.
Also Athleta is another great find. They are pricey brand new.
The Athleta has a lot of stretch in it. I like it so far, just need a belt!
Make a paste of Oxy clean and water and let it soak overnight then wash. Just make sure not to dry until you are sure the stain is out. I loved those little boxes with the gnomes and mushrooms on them. I had one of those in the 1970's when I was little. I don't think they cost that much brand new. Crazy pricing at that Goodwill. Thanks for sharing.
That's great, I'm glad the little boxes were nostalgic for you! They were fun to look at. Goodwill is priced high, true! Thank you for the stain removal tip. I want to get the white shirt in better condition and get those stains gone!
In Australia, we have a stain removal soap called wonder soap. It's a cake of soap. Maybe look for something similar in the supermarket. You rub the stain with the soap then rub the fabric on itself using both hands, before washing. Scrubbing like that can work so well. There's also nappy soaker products that you could scrub the stain with, then leave it to soak in more of the product disolved into water overnight.
Thank you! I will look the soap, maybe it's available here. I want to freshen up the white top! I think it will be perfect in the Summer heat.
Maybe you could try Fels Naptha soap...found in laundry aisle. It is a stain stick soap. I use it to put together homemade laundry soap.
@redgingerbreadpam Thank you!
I used to be SUCH a fan of Goodwill stores - not anymore. Seems like their mission statement has certainly changed over the last few years...plus, the annual salaries of their CEO’s will make your head hurt🤦🏻♀️ Largest majority of my thrifting is now done at small independently owned shops👍
I like the smaller thrift stores, too! Goodwill was priced high for me. The espresso cup set being brand new in the box seemed like a good deal, but many of the items were beyond my comfort zone!
Thanks!
Thank you so much for the Super Thanks! I appreciate it very much!
Wow those prices at your goodwill. I thought mine were a little high.
Goodwill was pricey, for sure!
Also,m I love a good scarf, you can do so mush with them.
Yes scarves are wonderful. I love a good scarf! Awhile back, I got an oversized scarf on sale. The fabric was snagged but I was able to undo it and it’s like brand new!
Also I thinkt hat pink dress you had a shot of would look great on you.
I liked the pink color. It’s bright!
Thrift stores are getting ridiculous on their prices. I don't understand why because everything is donated to them. I thought their pricing was to help people who cannot afford to buy new.
I'm not sure why it's so high. Most of my clothing wardrobe is from the thrift store and I love my clothes. I wish things were more affordable for everyone. Seems the cost of most goods has really gone up.
I like the white blouse. Goodwill has gotten pricey....I just buy books and maybe pj combos. I love yard sales!! I buy the next season clothes then.
I was surprised at the high prices! But I enjoyed looking at all the stuff. I thought the dishware set was a pretty color but the price was a shock! The white top is worth it to me to get those stains out. I need me some Summer clothes! Yard sales sound fun, maybe there will be some this year.
Donna Karen great jeans I wore mine out
This will be my 1st pair of jeans by her. I hope they fit!
Hi, I buy at Goodwill only if the item is 1/2 off and it's senior day. I usually buy at rummage sales and garage sales. Tina, Al's wife
Hi Tina! That's a good idea, to stack the discounts! I'm hoping to visit some yard sales this year, that would be fun.
Hello
Hello! Thank you for watching my thrift store video!
Good haul
Thank you! I'm excited to get some Summer shirts!
@@CareFreeLivingChannel that's what I'm looking for as well
It's that time of year, trying to get the clothing before the season begins!
Just found you!! Good luck thrifting!!!!
Welcome to the Channel! I hope you enjoyed my thrifting video! Next video is on Tuesday night at 7pm Eastern. Have a great day!
Their prices were so high! I was shocked.
Yes Goodwill was very expensive!
I would buy iron steel pots and pans and wall arts.
Good idea! There was some wall art that was nice. I liked the reindeer print myself!
Loft is a great brand
I think it's nice, too!
The white shirt
I like the white shirt too, it should be perfect for Summer! It's see through so I'll have to wear a tank top under it.
Goodwill has gotten absolutely outrageous with their prices. If it's not the 50 or 75% off color in there I usually just keep it moving. I am like... Goodwill, have you lost your mind? I will wait for a yardsale some weekend.
I was surprised at the Goodwill prices! I think the best deal was the brand new in box espresso cups. But overall the prices were crazy high!
Buy some laundry spray called the pink stuff. It will take it out.
Oh! I've heard of the pink stuff, but never tried it. Thank you for your suggestion!
Try baking soda and peroxide on the white shirt arm pits.
Thank you! I appreciate your suggestion. I gotta get those stains out!
Goodwill sales their stuff way to high I don’t go there anymore I go to thrift America it’s a second hand store here in Neb
Goodwill was priced high! I enjoy looking at everything. It's always fun to see what's for sale.
❤ Love the white shirt. Please, share video , how you are able to remove those stains 🙏 Have same issue with mine from last summer they do not get removed completely jet. But they are almost unvisible after two times by handwash using natron powder. Blessings
I love the white shirt, too. It's 100% cotton and should be nice and cool for the Summer months. I'm going to wash it on delicate cycle and see if that helps using Tide detergent. I hope those stains come out!
Go back and get that ivy lamp I want it.. I collect ivy omg where is this thrift shop.. if in Florida I’ll go get myself
That's a pretty lamp! I like the green color of the ivy. Quite a ways from Florida!
❤
Enjoy tonight’s video!
Believe it or not, try Dawn dishwashing liquid. It removes almost everything.
Good idea, thank you so much!
look for a hospic resale store, you better better prices. Goodwill has become too expensive
Hi Lois! Yes, Goodwill pricing was pretty high. I think the box of espresso cups was a good deal being brand new! But, so many of the items were pricey.
Wash it in vinegar and it will take it right out
Thank you for your suggestion! I like cleaning with vinegar!
You might try hydrogen peroxide for those stains
Thank you for your suggestion! I hope those stains come out. I like that shirt!
@@CareFreeLivingChannel hydrogen peroxide is what I used as a registered nurse to take stains out especially blood
Wow! If it was good enough for your uniforms, it should work out great!
I've seen goodwill sell dollar tree things for over a dollar. They are such a rip off now
I enjoy looking around the Goodwill although it is priced high. I have another thrift store that I've gotten most of my clothing at. It's been a real blessing to find good quality clothes on the cheap!
Use borax and oxyclean for pit stains.
Thank you for your suggestion! I love stain removal tips!
Something's messed up on my end. First I couldn't type in live chat or even x out of it. Then I got out but could only get here in regular chat. I'm feeling very unloved tonite!❤
Awww, technical issues happen to us all! I'm just glad you made it and hope you had fun!
Soak your white shirt in oxyclean and water
Thank you for your suggestion! Gotta get those stain out!
