John Cena doesn't get enough credit for his acting. So many people just say "oh look he is doing another action flick again" but you can see the energy that he brings to every role. The Marine is one of my favourite shut your brain off and enjoy movies and in my opinion He made Jackpot! on Amazon a watchable movie
"There was some controversy with the WWE and the torture of Iraqi prisoners. They'd take insurgents, tie them up, and force them to watch copies of the DVD The Marine!" - Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson
I was never much of a wrestling fan, but I have always sort of enjoyed Cena in movies, even the bad movies he was in. He is comedy gold in Ricky Stanicky, a movie that only works as well as it does because of his comedic talent.

His acting has improved greatly and even if people think his movies are bad today he has grown as an actor and he has proven that to me in every performance he has done.
As per usual I'm way off with other people (maybe not specifically in this comment section lol). I fell in love with "The Marine (2006)" as soon as I watched it last year. It's super funny! I love every second of it! In the beginning of this year, I watched 12 Rounds (2009) for the first time. Already a few seconds in, with the hyper editing and cuts, car chases, foot chases, everything going bonkers with a ridicoulus fast pace, it was another movie I INSTANTLY love from start to finish! It reminded me of Cellular (2004) or Takers (2010), just things I enjoy watching over and over again. Personally, I don't care about the Fast and Furious franchise. I also don't give a fuck for anything DCEU /DCU. But nothing against John, clearly he made the right choice regardless of what I think :)
cena and bautista are two of the best actors working right now. rock, still good obviously. but i will watch anything with cena or john they just nail it
There are different kinds of actors. John Cena is not a shakespearean actor. Hes not great at that. But if you cast him right I believe John Cena can make a role work. He was great as Peacemaker because of that.
Not just his early movies. Cena rarely takes roles, which challenge him. He's been pigeon holed as the comedic action star due to his physique, and WWE back ground.
I liked 12 Rounds. The Marine wasn't great, Cena needed a fun film at the start of his career, like when The Rock did The Rundown, which showed off his action and comedy chops.

He doesn't get enough credit because his acting is not that great in the first place. At least in my opinion. I loved 12 Rounds tho.

The Marine is a brilliant, easygoing action movie.
As a kid, I thought The Marine was a cool ass movie. Cena was the man in WWE lol
Peace Maker is good enough to make up for his early movie career.
His early films were his best films.
His first movies were better than his newer ones. Now he’s just a big athletic diva

12 Rounds is the best Speed ripoff ever made
I like the Marine its a good film

I like his movie 12 rounds.
Cena's best WWE movie in my opinion is legendary. I really love that movie

Out of all the recent Wrestlers turned Actor (Duane Johnson, Dave Bautista), John Cena is my favorite.
They were in comparison to what he’s doing now. But the marine was actually well done and he was believable as a marine
John is the total complete package, period.
12 rounds was fire
Has he not seen any of his prime movies 😂
Well, Out of all of The Marine movies, john Cena's is the best.
i know a lot of people dont like legendary.. but i always thought it was one of his better serious performances
He just made a movie with Jackie Chan movie was trash 😂
Can't say that his recent movies much better.
But he is better as an actor for sure

But he's not bad in them. He's the best part of those projects. He's doing his part well.
