I love it when you can hear those pieces hitting the bottom of the canister.
Just finished your book for the fifth time. You’re the reason I’m finally getting gold in the weirdest of places, where nobody seems to be looking, where I don’t compete with other prospectors for digging grounds. Keep up the great work, and thanks for teaching us what we need to know.

I'm in an area very rich in iron stone aka red rock aka hematite (iron ore). Making steel from iron ore also produces gold (fun fact). Steel when exposed to the elements oxidizes and forms an iron oxide (rust).
When looking into lode gold deposits and smelting of gold ore. You have sulphides and oxides. It's known that if you roast the sulphides crushed down at 1200 F, you convert the sulphides to a darker hematite / magnetite (black sands) type material. But in performing this chemical change process is where for whatever reason (I'm not a chemist) but the precious metals that are bound within the sulfide are freed and thus "drop out" and are now small bits of free gold.
In nature the same I assume happens near these ancient volcanic areas. The heat from the magma was able to drive off the sulphur atom and replace it with an oxygen. It can grab the oxygen from water or air. From field observations the areas of hematite that oxidize are darker red and where contacting mountain water or where a hydrothermal fluid was active the red hematite is still present but also has association with the very oxidized layers of a yellow/orange/red deposit. Somewhere I saw this is limonite which is a lead oxide. So perhaps oxidizing hematite with water replaces sulphur with oxygen and drops out the bounded up au/ag and various other heavy metals (I assume). Chris, I hope my studies are accurate, perhaps some insight?

In an area that visibly anomolous I'd like to think is even more populated than your treasure count. Given the amout of centers on a dartboard x2 for every one of the features, would you advise possibly utilizing a more thorough way of efficiently capturing what is actually the potential availability to someone in a like kind alluvial deposit on hard pan? (Obviously an area they prospect that's not active at the time) lol. What possibly would be the best type of method of concentration in this area and other alike? Is it safe to assume one prospecting and actively processing would just use the detector as a reference tool to get you in the right zone to start concentrating? Just say for instance this alluvial deposit sourced at a Lode zone similar to the Carlin type deposit but only it's a bit higher of a grade in which some of the finds truly are flake, but what if the majority of the ore was broken down already small enough to been seen by eye as is with the Nevada claims in which majority or all is classified as "invisible" I'd assume a flotation setup coupled with a precursor of gravity concentration or a specific gravity shaker table precursor. I guess you can say theres reason behind the thought (asking for a friend) of course. :-)

Also is it possible to clearly get a thumbs up from you on this comment if and only if you 1000% agree in favor of the vis.que. aforementioned to be exactly as is thought in all seriousness of anything that's real. Just to let me know and keep me from the women in my life trying to convince me I may want to speak to a psychologist lol. I need someone in my corner letting me know this isn't a bunch bs, but truly and indeed a few back to back Hatricks commonly reference in shoot darts. The gold in Carling deposits is microscopic and the gold here is obviously not microscopic. They are quite different. So no. Carlin deposits require capture by dissolving the gold because its too small to capture any other way. The gold of this location in Alaska works perfectly fine with a sluice box.

@@ChrisRalphthanks Chris for the expertise on this clarification. I'm at a point in my studies in which I focus on maps of past or current operations, material topo, terrain, sat, type of tailings, type of ore being processed, and trying to find all of that is impossible in a world with no foot in the door. Unless u can reference some sorce of like kind. At any rate I compare similarities and try to cast an all encompassing glance across the globe. So I get some of my references may be far from correct but is it possible usually is my question cause I'm a 1 in a million kinda guy, as long as it's worth it.
