  • Few people know that gold forms beautiful crystals and that these natural crystal forms of gold are the most valuable gold specimens. Crystal gold specimens can be worth from 2 to 50 times the bullion value of the gold in it. In this video, I talk all about gold formed in crystal shapes and all the different types of crystalline gold. These crystals are all natural and form in the ground under the right geologic conditions.

    You can really see the difference in the gold from were it came from . California and Nevada gold is really bright and pure , here in Oregon on my claim that is more or less in the cascades , the gold is not as bright and a lot of it has been alloyed with silver . I have found some electrum as well witch is gold and silver alloyed together . The last rams horn that you showed you could see that it probably has some silver mixed in with it . I also noticed that the gold from Arizona is kinda darker that some places . Very cool stuff , wish I would have taking geology and made a career out of it !

    Is your friends name Dave? Cause Dave shows a "cleaning" process with a continuity tester and some other stuff . When he is done ,there is the crystal gold structure and some matrix to have it stand up.
    Is there wire pyrite? Cause I have this dolostone with lots of tiny pyrite crystals . On the edges of the pyrite clusters ,there are a few wires the size of 2 day chin stubble.

NorthWest Bank in Helena Montana used to have a gold display years ago that had some fantastic wire gold specimens and wire 'nests' from Alder gulch and Last Chance gulch. Had to edit. I have some really high grade gold ore specimens I've found over the years and I really want to get them dipped in cyanide to get these specimens to the highend grade show pieces that I know than can be. My question is there any company or persons, I can take it to get this done, or anyone you highly recommend for this type of service Cyanide is something that is too scary for me to even have in my possession. I live on east cost in northern Virginia but definitely can travel. Also a separate question do you have a company or persons you recommend to do fire assay on gold ore. I've encountered so many frauds online and locally to me its ridiculous. Anyways just want to say thank you for all the awesome and informative videos you've made,

      I know of no one who offers a service like that. You might talk with Dave Varabioff of Gold Bay (use Google to find his contact info). He does the specimens he sells, but I have no idea if he might do such a thing as a service. For all my own assays, I use ALS Minerals. They are at 4977 Energy Way. Reno NV 89502.

And it’s brought in feom a distance location as said R.R. Worker .. it’s so very similar to your GOLD ORE FROM S. Africa you show in your yT video of gold ore . Pls reply if ever you have the time or chance I’d love to get your input sir . Ok ty and stay smart ..

      The conglomerate rock is a very common type of rock found in many thousands of places all over the world. Only one in a million have gold in them - almost all are barren of gold. I wish you the best of luck in your efforts but I get many requests for help, training, evaluations, mineral ID. etc. every day. There simply is not enough time as I have many projects and commitments of my own. This is why I do not offer a service to consult and do all the things I am asked to do every day.

      Breccia can have up to 50% gold as well as scarn. But breccia looks like conglomerate but it's breccia which is an indicator mineral. Au Crystals can be within other rocks that cool and crystalize more slowly. I found one! Not done cleaning it yet... And learning how to clean it!

      @@ChrisRalph well it's the same color as 24 karat gold jewelry, and iridescent purple in a few spots. Can pyrite crystals be the same color as gold? THANKS BTW!! Love you channel!!

    • @ChrisRalph
      @ChrisRalph  2 роки тому

      Generally speaking, pyrite has a greenish cast that gold does not. That said, gold with unusually large amounts of silver can take on a greenish cast. So while normally gold and pyrite are not exactly the same color, in some cases gold can be the same color as pyrite. That is why color is not a good test. Much better is to give the suspected gold sample a good hard whack with a hammer. Pyrite is brittle and will shatter, while gold is malleable and will flatten down.

    • @coreymerrill3257
      @coreymerrill3257 2 роки тому +2

      Be already did that.... Hydrothermal vent, hot mineral solution, gold is combined with sulfur in that solution, it finds metallic or oxide of iron in the ground and the iron and sulfur try to swap places . The sulfur interacts with the iron , leaves a layer of sulfer and gold and the hot solution then removes the sulfur back from that iron ,leaving a deposit of gold and iron and whatever else dropped out of that solution while the sulfer and iron were playing and dropping the gold . This is SUPER basic ...but I'm no professional , I'm just a nerd who likes to search for precious metals, gems and minerals.
