If this was based on price to performance, you’d have to pick the Maltby TS3. It’s really tough to find a better iron, even discounting price. Edel 4-p is $1500. Maltby TS3 4-g is $620. I’m not paying these stupid prices for these clubs anymore.
This year my bag turned to 75% Maltby. Other than my driver, putter and 5 wood. Will never go back to the "elite" brands unless I win a free fitting or something 🤷♀️. And even then, I'd probably sell them and buy 3 more sets of Maltbys.
Man it's so cool to see what's happened with Maltby and the "awareness" over the past year or so. Not just on here but other reviewers are now getting showered with requests to try Maltby. I know Maltbys were a kept secret by many for a long time but I just felt it was time they came out of their cave back when I sent Gabe that first set of KE4 MAX irons.
That Project X Rifle shaft is a game changer for sure! I have them in my gamers, and older set of Callaway Razr X MB's, and they are just, "AAAAAAAAAH" when you hit the ball.
Gabe as much as some of us would love to see you gaming some TS3's😜, those Edels are still just too nice to consider anything else! Keep doing things the way you do them!
I have been following your channel for a long time now here in Thailand. The improvement in your game has been fantastic. Really look forward to every Let's Play Thru video. Just sorry that we never managed to get Costco to open a store in Pattaya. Keep up the good work Gabe and,as I am from the UK, looking forward to your Scottish trip.
I have had 2 Shot Scope X5 watches first one took forever to find a Satellite and then it never tagged half my shots/club, plus a couple more issues, Shot Scope sent me a new one and , on first time turning it on, on the course (after all updates installed ) and it took 30 minutes to find a Satellite as I was on hole 4 by then , started using it and it wasn't keeping up with the holes as I played and putted out . Used it 3 more times and it I would turn it on in the course parking lot hoping it would load by the time I got to the first tee, never happened , So I threw them both away !!! I went back to like did as a kid and went to finding the 200- 150 & 100 yard markers and just judging my distances by feel and am playing SO much better ! Great set up Gabe !!
My dad has said the same thing about his club in Sarasota (The Founders Club). It got pretty ripped up. I joked and told him that he will have a links course soon if the weather patterns remain the same. I am going down there around Christmas and am interested in seeing how much that has changed. As for clubs, I pretty much am staying pat with what I currently own. I might change out the driver but my problems are certainly more an issue with my swing and less from the clubs. That Ping 430 does look like it checks some boxes and I might give the Tour Edge a look as well. There is nothing wrong with saving a few dollars and two or three yards won't make a real difference anyways. When you're hitting the way I do the difference between 230 and 235 (my drives) isn't that big a deal. We will see about the putter. I think my OMOI, with the heavier weights in the bottom, is probably doing to be similar to the putter you are having made. Since I really, really like the grip on putter (reverse taper) I might just keep using it and keep your putter to look pretty. Or regrip it. My goal, at least as far as spending money goes, is to get as good as I can with what I own. I think the clubs, at least the irons, are well suited for my swing speed (which is lower than yours but hey, I've got a few more years on the odometer than you. There's no shame in admitting that. Getting good at the second shots and putting the ball where I want it is my goal now. And that HackMotion is in my plans for after Christmas. I think that will improve my consistency. I might just pull the trigger on it a bit early.
I’ve been so close to picking up the MacGregor irons so many times. Only reason I haven’t is because I just bought some new irons last year and more importantly, I’m still pretty bad and could use more forgiveness.
The Legatos are Legit-o (bad joke). I've been going back and forth between them and the Maxfli Tour S (my game ball for the past year) and they're right on par (another bad joke). They definitely punch well above their price!
Hitting the ball well Gabe. How would you say the Legato feels compared to a pro v1 ie, softer, harder or the same. Greetings from the UK. Live the channel🇬🇧
Always love these update videos. BTW… Where is the rest of you? You must be living on Styrofoam and cardboard! Wow, what a transformation… Congrats from Canada. Great channel love all the reviews. Keep them coming.❤️👍

I wish I could change golf clubs twice a year!! lol. Putter and driver would stay in the bag… unless I am changing to tour edge exotics.. then everything in the putter is up for change. However, I have been eyeing the hot launch 522.. e522 on the fair way woods.
I don't care for the fact that you switched from the L.A.B. DF3 to a putter you have personal gain in, give us a video of your special putter that isn't lie angle balanced versus the L.A.B. Congrats on the new putter. Appreciate your videos. Been helpful in my golf resurrection as a mere mortal.
Glad to hear it 🙌
Nice piece Gabe! Thanks for
Nice clubs. Gamed the ping10k all year (great driver) until I went to the ai smoke triple diamond max w the Ventus blue velocore plus.

Def recommend trying them if you can. 🙌

Slightly softer than these new ProV1s. More like the older ProV1s to me.
Those irons are hard to look at
Now that you’re gaming the Mere Mortal putter, did you allude to broadening the Brand? Are MM wedges, irons, or woods, next?
Planning on an iron set next 🤫
Wheres the link for the mere mortal putter???
How do you get those dots for you’re clubs

Yes I did lose about 20% of me 🙌 🤣
Nice infomercial...you ain't fooling anyone. Game is looking good Gabe!!👍👍
What about the trusty C300 hybrid Gabe? Did you mention it? If so I must have missed it, but I’m sure it was in the background in some of the footage
I swapped it for the Takomo 5 wood earlier this year, so finally out. Was a long time fixture though. Still think it’s the best hybrid out there.
You said ATW wedge from indi. Didn’t see that on their site. Were you referring to ATK. Only asking because I am desperate for new wedges
Yes, my mistake
I noticed the Killarney polo, have you played there? I live an hour from the course
Yes I played both courses a couple years back. There are some vids here on the main channel
I wish ping would make a non turbulator model
At $249 a stick, i bet you love them Edels.
Won a set of MT-Milled - did you really enjoy hitting them?

Tough to beat TE for value. As you know, I'm loving their new exotics line of drivers.
Tell us about that white dot on your driver face. I have that driver and mine doesn't have a dot?
It’s just a leftover sticker for getting club data in a simulator
@@LetsPlayThru I see, thanks! Enjoy your videos.
I am shocked about the driver Sir. That Tour Edge C725 is a beast and you struck it so well
It’s a fantastic driver, but it will be tough to get the ping out of my bag
Have you tested the perfect hands swing trainer yet?
Not yet
