Damn, the guy really poured a whole lot of money to get his OC into becoming a main character. Tbh, as much as I like the gameplay, I think the story is way too edgy for Shovel Knight. SK, Plague Knight and King Knight all appear as humorous and joyful, with some kind of Rare taste in their writing. But here it was just "my past is depressing and my son is my enemy and I'm a reaper and darkness engulfs me and..." Like, Come on. I think if he just liked being a reaper and scoured the land to claim the souls of several Knights, that would have been better!
