Me too!! Wow what an incredible person and inspirational story!! 👏 Great film, even more special is hearing from Jessica herself. I was a mountaineer for many years so I guess I can relate to experiencing and grappling with life threatening situations that mother nature throws at one!
I was just wondering on Netflix and saw the movie THE TRUE SPIRIT , watched it and in ending I came to know that this story was real. I then searched this amazing and inspirational story on the internet and ended here at this TED X talk by that brave girls. Its just unbelievable that how she did it. Actually I am shocked .
Wow Jessica, you are such an inspiration! I just finished watching the movie ''True Spirit'' and absolutely loved it! Laughed and cried! Well done for pursuing your dreams and with determination and courage - achieving them!!!
I saw her movie on Netflix and her story inspired me so much, because when you have a dream, you need to fight and never give up. Sometimes you will have difficulties but the most important is believe in yourself and keep going even the other people doesn’t trust in you or even you have afraid. “You are only as big as the dreams you dare to live” Jessica Watson you’re a extraordinary person.
Jessica is very inspirational. I followed her story since before she set sail and it’s been fantastic to see how she’s grown from the shy young girl who dealt with her dyslexia and worked hard to live her dream into such a confident, gracious young lady. She’ll always be known as much for her character and integrity as she will for her incredible sailing achievements.
Her story is definitely worth listening to. It should provide great hope and encouragement to others to have the courage to dream big and do what it takes to see those dreams come to fruition.
When you go through something so foreign, tough, demanding, unknown, you learn things about life and yourself that you never knew were there to learn. Because of it she no doubt sees life through a much different, blessed lens. Ultimately I think that's the point of it all, to continuously tune our perception and understanding of life towards something greater. Maybe it's the reason she was innately driven to do it.
Jessica, Congratulations on achieving an unbelievable goal. You are an inspiration to all young Australian women. You are a source of pride for your entire country. You've made men jealous all over the world. I am Mark from the Arizona desert, and you are my hero.
It is unbelievable how the majority of the world did not know about the amazing journey of Jessica (including me) until they watched the film on Netflix. After the film, I immediately searched for her, and I could not believe that it was literally based on real life! Thank you Jessica 🩷
yes !! this is bawsss level infinity!! the feeling of respecting her and being in awe of her massive adventurous spirit did make me cry, i thought wow! my god, this is an amazimg human being showing us how to live !!!! ❤
JUST WATCHED her ‘movie’ of her and ‘Pink Lady’ sailing around the world. Incredible REGARDLESS OF AGE. MY only “problem” with the movie itself, and it’s only a problem IF THEY ADDED THE PART..where her sailboat literally INVERTED AND SUNK..”to 15’ BELOW THE SURFACE”, then miraculously ‘shot up’ to the surface!(?) Uhhh, ONLY a miracle STRAIGHT FROM THE LORD IF it ACTUALLY happened..
It did actually happen. It wasn’t as long as the movie made it seem. Jess said in an article it did actually happen, but it was only for a few seconds. The boat is made to do that so it isn’t impossible.
Laura Dekker and Jessi Watson, two greatest women, at 16 years old the younguest(one with stops, the other without them)but BOTH greats young, we need help young people to persui their dreams..sorry my english, im from southamerica and i want to help young people to not commit suicide or get into the dark side of life, adictions, depression and tech obsession without feeling this beautiful planet and help to take care of it!future at their hands

Five years on and she's still an impressive young lady. And her Sparkman and Stephens 34 was a tough little sloop. She chose well in her boat.

Laura Dekker began her world circumnavegation at 14 years old . Jessica Watson ,at 16 years old .
Amazing movie
This really really needs subtitles and captions. Her voice is not terribly clear. Not Jessica's fault. I blame the technology for that!!
…for sure. ANY time there’s a vid WITH SOMEONE SPEAKING, there SHOULD BE the option of CC!
She actually sounds a lot better and actually really well since she was 16 wow. I just watched her younger videos and she came a long way public speaking!
நான் இரண்டு தடவை பார்த்த முதல் படம்
Why subtitles is closed?
Hit like if the Netflix movie True Spirit brought you here. 🤚 One of the most amazing movies I've watched.
Miss Jess what’s your next plain or goal? You don’t have to answer. I just found you on Netflix today. I am from USA .
She looks like Mischa Barton
i know some network wanted to pay her money on a story at the time if im right
She is a ganster
Annoying, not worth a speech. Got nothing from it. ok bye
Youngest person to sail around the world and you got nothing out of it?...anything in your life speech worthy?
you should go to the doctors to get your problem checked.
@@pookiepig1255 so funny hahahah:/
August Stilling ur not even funny yourself.
She sailed around the world by herself you would probably be to afraid to touch water dont say stuff like that.
