Very true. But once he agreed to having Socialism, angered the west to such an extent that all powerful lobbies started acting against him. He eventually was executed . His whole family died. Such a beautiful family ,which was disgraced to a point where the boys held guns in order to take revenge of the untimely death of their father.

Just 41 at the time, he was a giant of a man no doubt. A true nationalist and a peerless politician. Could've done great things for our country. But no one is infallible. His lust for power and total control collided with that of the Generals. They had guns and won in the end.

the guy at 6:50 thought Islam is what the sects say. Little did he know that the founders of this country were non-sectarian muslims. Bhutto's view was same as Quaids. Quaid literally said, "Pakistan should be based on pure foundations of social justice and Islamic socialism.... not other isms". Bhutto's father knew Quaid, and Bhutto sent letters to him as student.
Sir Syed, Quaid, Allama Iqbal and G.A Parvez (personal advisor of Quaid and student of Iqbal) were modernist Muslims, they had a Quran-centric non-sectarian understanding of Islam based on which they understood Quran's emphasis on social justice. Unfortunately this nation has no clue about its founders.

Another sad chapter of Pakistan. A patriotic man gunned down in 1979 by those who freed them post 1971 tragedies and put the country together which was absolutely shattered as a result of martial law. It was complete failure of men with guns who want to rule the country with dummy parliaments as their mask. Constantly operating divide and rule principal, intentionally promoting illiterate and selfish people in politics to prevent a genuine leadership, strong in law-making and ensuring Rule of Law is executed throughout from top to bottom hence work purely in the interest of people & country. Full advantage is taken of illiteracy in society where people have so much time to look into others privacy and making judgements rather than personal improvement as an individual. 76 years gone, Might is right still in place. A lawless state, colony of foreign powers, personal objectives are on top of agenda, no respect of public's opinion and no value of human life. Only Might is Right, accept it or leave the country if not leave the planet.

Bhutto's evil contribution in denying Sheikh Mujibur Rahman the right to form a national government after the latter unanimously won the December 1970 national elections will never be forgotten by the people of Bangladesh. This denial was followed by the swift launching of Operation Searhlight on the night of the 25th of March 1971 where the Pakistani military and their collaborators perpetrated one of the worst genocides of the 20th century against innocent, unarmed Bengali civilians. Bhutto saw Dhaka burn with his own eyes from his hotel room at the Dhaka Intercontinental. After Bangladesh became victorious on 16th December 1971, Bhutto did everything he could to discredit and undermine the creation of Bangladesh in the international community. It was not until 1974 where Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was practically compelled to accept the most unjust terms of the Tripartite Agreement in order for repatriation of Pakistani POWs to take place in exchange of Bengali civilians trapped in Pakistan. The result was that none of those brutal, evil, rapacious Pakistani POWs were tried for war crimes during the Bangladesh Liberation War.

@@ganeshnaik9463 It's quite funny and highly ironic that you say that on the eve of a borderline jingoistic political party winning the largest state in India quite handly and without even the slightest inkling of opposition. You can no longer stand on your soapbox and sneer at Pakistan's extremism, India is no longer an impartial and fair country for Muslims. Jinnah's point of view will become ever-clearer in the coming decades with the coming rise in state-sponsored aggression towards your domestic Muslim population.

He is a great leader. Infact, he isnt the reason for seperation of Bengal it was YAhya and Ayoub. If he was the reason then sheikh mujeeb ur rehman would never attend Lahore's summit. Zulfikar Ali bhutto brought the propoganda done by the US and the Army to everyone, therefore it wasn't long until he was hanged to death after the Lahore summit. He took the blame and also recognised Bengaladesh as sovereighn. Please stop hating him just because they want you to hate him.

The man was clear. He didnt speak about any term called "islamic socialism" but that socialism there is no contradiction between islam and modern socialism. It is obvious that he speaks about social-democracy (modern socialism) and it compares it with European socialist parties. I think some of the people like those students in the video are too close-minded and it is very strange for educated people of that age and level (university) to support islam's role in society as a theocratic ideology (see what happened to Iran that you cant even look a woman in face)
