I was shocked when I read that our horse is the same name as her horse. Like that is so cool. That's the same for the soulriders. Their names are different from the previous soulriders, but the horse's names still remains the same. And also there is another theory that Catherine and her horse became one and that they are our starter horse, would also make sense.

SOUL RIDER BOOKS SPOILERS In the second soul rider book the soul riders are split up on different parts of Jorvik and Anne is in Pandoria. Anne needs guidance and help to find back to her purpose of coming to Pandoria which Linda can sense, even if she's badly injured and has a high fever. Linda telepathically communicates with Anne, she can't see Linda but at one point she gets a sensation of a hand on her shoulder. So I'm thinking if Linda can communicate like that through different worlds, then I wouldn't be surprised if Catherine could communicate with a future event.

What if Catherine is truly Avalon-ok let me stop blaming this man of all of Jorvik's problems. I don't think Catherine is our horse, but I believe she is Concorde. Back up for a second, that makes no sense, but I have my evidence. Concorde is a mare-filly-yearling? I have no clue about horse clues I deeply apologize. There's no clear reason why, however. All the confirmed Guardian horses we know are stallions/geldings. The Sun Circle was her best friend and brightest companion. Concorde's personality we've seen so far is very similar to how Catherine seems to act. Concorde had a strong desire to go to Elizabeth and bond with her instead. I know that was supposed to be because she's a Sun Circle as well, but she didn't try to bond with Evergray. In fact, she seems to have a distaste for him, just like I assume Catherine does. Maybe the true reason was because Catherine knew Elizabeth's destiny was to die during that questline. But of course, we held Concorde back, and she could never tell Elizabeth. She feels connected still to her magical abilities, while teaching all she knows to the next generation. I've seen people with pretty strong proof that she could be our starter, but our starter is a stallion (of supposed to be). So I believe Concorde is our Catherine. This reminds me of the pink ground mural in the secret stone circle, in which it depicts the soul rider and soul horse of each circle sort of merging together to create this horse-human creature... Wish we had more of the story- there's a lot of unanswered questions so far.

I was just thinking about that last night and I don’t think the same things will happen, just that they could. Put simply, we (our characters and Catherine) are the same in spirit so what happened to her CAN happen to us but because our experiences have been different to Catherine’s, those things aren’t necessarily going to happen to us. Hopefully that’s not too confusing.
Awesome theory! (The following contains main story spoilers) ..... Also remember how that purple eyed horse that Everygray ended up keeping, I think shortly after Elisabeth’s death? It seemed oddly human and even back then I thought “what if Elisabeth lives on in/as this horse?”, maybe it was in fact Catherine though! I’ve seen another comment here that our starter was Catherine and I also have a theory for that! (Again a spoiler, this time from the game files!) what if these strange data’s called “starter horse Death” “starter horse rebirth” and I think “transformation” are part of a scene where our horse actually comes to some kind of weak point where it seems to die (maybe in the end war against garnok) but in reality it just retransforms into its original form, Catherine as human! That would eventually give us our own real soul horse(?)/starbreed (because notice how our horse is seemingly typical despite its ability to talk to us via telepathy and warn us... and the pink wings) compared to Concorde, Meteor, star shine and tin can who almost all have unique visuals and colours. I’ve already thought that the Rune runner will be our soul horse then but who knows maybe it will be a transformed version that looks more like the “core four” horses like I mentioned, as soon as Catherine leaves the horses body. Maybe it was Catherine all along who gave our ordinary starter it’s powers too!
I actually think that when Catherine is in fact allive there’s a big posibilitie she’s our starter horse. Here’s why: In the quests that we look in Catherine memories we saw that her Horse was a Jorvik Warmblood. The same horse breed as our starter horse. We also know that she merged with her horse so it is very much so posible that she looks like it, right? We couldn’t see the collors of the Horse and we never had a description of it as far as I know so it could have any coat colour. Do you see wat I want to prove with that? Maybe out character is Catherine reincarnated because as she was related to all four circles. And us to maybe.. Also why would everything be linked to us in the light ride except her thoughts. As well as this we arrived in Jorvik for summer and ended up staying.
My opinion is that when you are on your way to New Hillcrest to meet Lisa and find Evergrey, you follow Lisa’s song and find her with a foal. The foal turns out to be a starbreed like Starshine so I think Cathrine could be the foal ( Texas ). I’m really interested in finding out more maybe it will all make sense in the future! Aideen's horse was named Nemo, but if Catherine feels the power of Aideen and she turns into a horse, she might be Nemo. Next to that, because we are connected to our horse and we have the power of all four circles, but Catherine has those powers too, she might be our soulhorse, Nemo, because she has the same powers as us, as our starterhorse then.
Wish I could replay the main story again. I've forgotten so much and all the new updates are so distracting. More druids, talking horses from three random factions, a pony named peanut who's a mayor of a town... Idk, SSO has just become so goofy and all over the place in the past years.
I think that her body died, but her soul became one with her horse Nemo as all evidence pretty much pointing to that. Perhaps the reason why we can see her is because she technically is dead, but lives on by being literally one with her horse, whose body is her host. Maybe she can separate from Nemo and come visit us with her powers, as her soul is obviously still alive?
I think she is our starter horse and that’s why we have such a connection and need for our started horse and it’s because our starter horse has been through similar things.

I came up with this theory last night and I know this might sound weird and there is little to no evidence but whatever Ok so Pandoria in deep deep underneath the ground and then underneath panorama is the bottom of the sea. And I know this sounds weird but pandoria is magical and can do odd things but gornok is trapped in the bottom of the ocean and gornoks tentacles can reach pandoria by growing (how it can reach the surface too) so that means pandoria is above the bottom of the ocean. And then in the quest with one of the Guardian trees lisa (or the tree) said that the roots reach pandoria so that means pandoria is deep underneath the surface
Another thing is she talked about Justin. I'm not sure whether her and Thomas would have decided on a name before Justin was born but either way i dont think she had time to give birth, name him, jot down she loved him in her journal, and then RIP'd.
Yah Catherine is definite our starter horse because it talked to us before and it flew when we were saving Justin thats why he / she always comes with us in soul rider quests and has special powers!
I was thinking you know the quest when Justin goes to south hoof and you have to find him Hermit talks about the wild horses and then thats when Justin meets them but one stays close to him so it could be catherine and then when the druids try and put justin back in jail the wild horses stop them so my theory is that catherine is one of the wild horses on south hoof and basically saved justin this maybe wrong but thats my theory!

In the books they tell us that Catherines sister died because the sister wanted to go on the halloween trail ride together with Catherines friends (Her soulrider generation) So Catherine wasn't dead, her sister was. But we know that the books might not be cannon... They also say that she died (Might be her sister) slipping of a cliff, or something. But this wasn't in the original books but the trilogy. I don't know if the exist in english. I read them in Swedish tho
I do like your theory about Catherine. But I see her dream as not so much wanting to be a horse but having an actualisation of herself as a horse - like once she's 'done with this mortal body' she's going to move onto a new one - a horse one. And maybe her horse wasn't destroyed by whatever ritual Everygray performed - the soul wasn't lost but melded with hers (which you said, didn't you?). I think that ritual was the reason Evergray was exiled - it was vastly dangerous, it went wrong, and it required more magic/different magic than the druids are supposed to/allowed to use - but I hadn't noticed before this video that she says 'they' thought she was Aideen reborn, not 'we' (her and Evergray) or 'he' (just Evergray). So who were 'they'? Evergray and Fripp? So many questions! I actually dusted off my old avatar to try out the new 'Fripp's Agents' quest line... but definitely underwhelmed so far. Maybe it will improve soon...
i think that maybe Catherine is US. the reason for this idea is because well, WE love horses, she loves horses, she can communicate with other ghosts, we can talk to ghosts too,(in that one side quest were we got some long lost ghost lovers together idk). parts of Catherine's soul could be part of ours, I feel like we have so much in common with her, and are connected to her in someway. we were able to trace her memories before she "died". I think I have a lot to piece together, some dots to connect, but still. :)
What if she has always been a horse. But a reason she chanched into a human and then had to go back after a certain amount of time or event(childbirth). She clearly writes that the feeling of the grass on her hooves is familiar!

That is a really good theory! I wasn't sure about how she ended before but now I am. The ritual that has gone wrong must somehow have caused her soul/spirit to go merge with a horse or become a horse. She did in fact die after Justins birth, not her spirit but her body. And if you believe in the afterlife that's exactly what happens to us too, we go elsewhere. She must have felt the moment was coming soon, maybe already since the ritual when here fate was sealed. Possibly a child being and growing in her stopped the riutals result from completing itself, until she gave birth. I agree with theories saying that Catherine could be our starter horse! I was watching someone's video where they glitched into the unreleased area of wild woods (I do NOT suggest glitching so pls don't do it) and their was this horse named the Warrior Guard. Even though she wanted to be a horse she would probably still want to help keep Jorvik safe protect the land ect. Personally I think this would be a good time to but the past behind Catherine into the story. This is just a theory but wouldn't it just match? I am not a professional at theories but I think it would be interesting. What if Catherine made a diary to store her memories, so that part of her would still be out there. I feel like if she was a horse she might've tried to communicate with us by now, but she likely wouldn't know where we are and stuff like that?? I still think she died, but not in childbirth. I think she sacrificed herself somehow, and possibly asended to a higher plane of existence, or a limbo area? She didn't want to die, but it was the only option. Perhaps in some ritual? Maybe to keep Garnok at bay?

O-O I mean, all we know is she froze in time and then what looked like her shattered into pieces into pandoria. But... in the second soul rider book (I know I talk a lot about the books but they just contain so many interesting facts and clues 😂) ***major spoiler ahead*** Elizabeth is cursed by Pi and she turns into a will-o-wisp which Linda is able to capture in a cookie jar and keeps Elizabeth’s light with her until they can ask Fripp to get her back. Elizabeth is back a few days later just as new as if nothing ever happened. So maybe something similar happened now again - she still exists but we need to find her essence to be able to bring her back. I’m thinking about that little secret fox mission. Isn’t that supposed to be Elizabeth? I don’t know honestly haha. But I just really feel like she’s not actually gone permanently 🤔

In there you know on the ground there's this big purple drawing of the Soul Riders and their horses doing the light ceremony AND above the 4 of them is drawn a Horse-man. Standing on 2 legs a humany figure with horse head, holding in it's hand something. Looks like it's doing magic. This could be Catherine! Someone in these comments said Catherine could be our starter horse, maybe during fighting Garnok, Catherine reveals herself or we'll have to become one with her! What do you think?
Back in Starshine Legacy the horse-people befriended a horse and its rider (presumably Aideen) and thereby created the Soul Riders. Since the drawing in the secret stone circle has been there since the beginning of the game, I believe this is simply to show where the Soul Riders got their powers. Of course, I don't know where the new lore will be taking it, or if they might remove or replace the drawing altogether - after all, the Soul Riders don't look like their predecessors anymore, so they wouldn't be able to recognize themselves in it (like they did in Starshine Legacy). If anything, they might replace the horse person with another girl, which is supposed to be Aideen/the fifth soul rider (us) 🤔 anyhow, I think it's unlikely that it's supposed to represent Catherine in particular, or that it's a clue of her still being alive

Also remember how that purple eyed horse that Everygray ended up keeping, I think shortly after Elisabeth’s death? It seemed oddly human and even back then I thought “what if Elisabeth lives on in/as this horse?”, maybe it was in fact Catherine though! I’ve seen another comment here that our starter was Catherine and I also have a theory for that! (Again a spoiler, this time from the game files!) what if these strange data’s called “starter horse Death” “starter horse rebirth” and I think “transformation” are part of a scene where our horse actually comes to some kind of weak point where it seems to die (maybe in the end war against garnok) but in reality it just retransforms into its original form, Catherine as human! That would eventually give us our own real soul horse(?)/starbreed (because notice how our horse is seemingly typical despite its ability to talk to us via telepathy and warn us... and the pink wings) compared to Concorde, Meteor, star shine and tin can who almost all have unique visuals and colours. I’ve already thought that the Rune runner will be our soul horse then but who knows maybe it will be a transformed version that looks more like the “core four” horses like I mentioned, as soon as Catherine leaves the horses body. Maybe it was Catherine all along who gave our ordinary starter it’s powers too!
I actually think that when Catherine is in fact allive there’s a big posibilitie she’s our starter horse. Here’s why: In the quests that we look in Catherine memories we saw that her Horse was a Jorvik Warmblood. The same horse breed as our starter horse. We also know that she merged with her horse so it is very much so posible that she looks like it, right? We couldn’t see the collors of the Horse and we never had a description of it as far as I know so it could have any coat colour. Do you see wat I want to prove with that? Our Starter Horse also knows so much about the main story.

Just wanted to add that to this meaning if she merged with her horse, that is the same breed and has the same name as ours, its possible she kept the horse's name as her own since no one would probably realize its Cathrine inside the horse
Honestly i give up with the lore about Catherine to me its completely irrelevant. People just randomly mention her in quests so honestly it just confuses me 😂

This is such a great theory! It would actually be more interesting if it turns out that Catherine is still alive, but in the form of something else, maybe Thomas will have a bigger part in the story with helping us to find horse-Catherine?

Also why would everything be linked to us in the light ride except her thoughts. As well as this we arrived in Jorvik for summer and ended up staying.
If this is the case... Maybe Katherine is our starting horse? These are just thoughts, but very interesting...
Perhaps she did die during childbirth but it also had to do with her destiny. Like, in order for justin to be born she had to give up her mortal body.

My opinion is that when you are on your way to New Hillcrest to meet Lisa and find Evergrey, you follow Lisa’s song and find her with a foal.
The foal turns out to be a starbreed like Starshine so I think Cathrine could be the foal ( Texas ). I’m really interested in finding out more maybe it will all make sense in the future! I also do agree that it could be our starter horse because we have a connection with both Cathrine and our starter horse so I think it could be either one. I’m still not so sure!

Well, we know that Catherine somehow managed to ride our starterhorse, maybe was her horse. In her diary, she tells us that in her dreams she "united" with her horse, and gallopped happily.

Aideen's horse was named Nemo, but if Catherine feels the power of Aideen and she turns into a horse, she might be Nemo. Next to that, because we are connected to our horse and we have the power of all four circles, but Catherine has those powers too, she might be our soulhorse, Nemo, because she has the same powers as us, as our starterhorse then.
Wish I could replay the main story again. I've forgotten so much and all the new updates are so distracting. More druids, talking horses from three random factions, a pony named peanut who's a mayor of a town... Idk, SSO has just become so goofy and all over the place in the past years.

I think that her body died, but her soul became one with her horse Nemo as all evidence pretty much pointing to that. Perhaps the reason why we can see her is because she technically is dead, but lives on by being literally one with her horse, whose body is her host. Maybe she can separate from Nemo and come visit us with her powers, as her soul is obviously still alive?
I think she is our starter horse and that’s why we have such a connection and need for our started horse and it’s because our starter horse has been through similar things.

Ok so Pandoria in deep deep underneath the ground and then underneath panorama is the bottom of the sea. And I know this sounds weird but pandoria is magical and can do odd things but gornok is trapped in the bottom of the ocean and gornoks tentacles can reach pandoria by growing (how it can reach the surface too) so that means pandoria is above the bottom of the ocean. And then in the quest with one of the Guardian trees lisa (or the tree) said that the roots reach pandoria so that means pandoria is deep underneath the surface

Yah Catherine is definite our starter horse because it talked to us before and it flew when we were saving Justin thats why he / she always comes with us in soul rider quests and has special powers!

I was thinking you know the quest when Justin goes to south hoof and you have to find him Hermit talks about the wild horses and then thats when Justin meets them but one stays close to him so it could be catherine and then when the druids try and put justin back in jail the wild horses stop them so my theory is that catherine is one of the wild horses on south hoof and basically saved justin this maybe wrong but thats my theory!

In the books they tell us that Catherines sister died because the sister wanted to go on the halloween trail ride together with Catherines friends (Her soulrider generation) So Catherine wasn't dead, her sister was. But we know that the books might not be cannon... They also say that she died (Might be her sister) slipping of a cliff, or something. But this wasn't in the original books but the trilogy. I don't know if the exist in english. I read them in Swedish tho
I was having dreams about people becoming horses and you red my mind
I do like your theory about Catherine. But I see her dream as not so much wanting to be a horse but having an actualisation of herself as a horse - like once she's 'done with this mortal body' she's going to move onto a new one - a horse one. And maybe her horse wasn't destroyed by whatever ritual Everygray performed - the soul wasn't lost but melded with hers (which you said, didn't you?).
I think that ritual was the reason Evergray was exiled - it was vastly dangerous, it went wrong, and it required more magic/different magic than the druids are supposed to/allowed to use - but I hadn't noticed before this video that she says 'they' thought she was Aideen reborn, not 'we' (her and Evergray) or 'he' (just Evergray). So who were 'they'? Evergray and Fripp?
So many questions! I actually dusted off my old avatar to try out the new 'Fripp's Agents' quest line... but definitely underwhelmed so far. Maybe it will improve soon...

i think that maybe Catherine is US. the reason for this idea is because well, WE love horses, she loves horses, she can communicate with other ghosts, we can talk to ghosts too,(in that one side quest were we got some long lost ghost lovers together idk). parts of Catherine's soul could be part of ours, I feel like we have so much in common with her, and are connected to her in someway. we were able to trace her memories before she "died". I think I have a lot to piece together, some dots to connect, but still. :)
What if she has always been a horse. But a reason she chanched into a human and then had to go back after a certain amount of time or event(childbirth). She clearly writes that the feeling of the grass on her hooves is familiar!

That is a really good theory! I wasn't sure about how she ended before but now I am. The ritual that has gone wrong must somehow have caused her soul/spirit to go merge with a horse or become a horse. She did in fact die after Justins birth, not her spirit but her body. And if you believe in the afterlife that's exactly what happens to us too, we go elsewhere. She must have felt the moment was coming soon, maybe already since the ritual when here fate was sealed. Possibly a child being and growing in her stopped the riutals result from completing itself, until she gave birth. I agree with theories saying that Catherine could be our starter horse! Crazy but totally possible!

I was watching someone's video where they glitched into the unreleased area of wild woods (I do NOT suggest glitching so pls don't do it) and their was this horse named the Warrior Guard. Even though she wanted to be a horse she would probably still want to help keep Jorvik safe protect the land ect. Personally I think this would be a good time to but the past behind Catherine into the story. This is just a theory but wouldn't it just match? I am not a professional at theories but I think it would be interesting. My friend started suggesting that Catherine might be a starter horse but I love my starter horse and all but they don't really talk much using there little chat. If our starter horse would be Catherine they would've maybe played a bigger part in the story.

You know the first thing I think of when Catherine comes to mind is her diary. This is completely unrelated but, Tom Riddle had a diary, right? If Catherine died, maybe she did something similar? I know that Harry Potter is completely unrelated to Star Stable, but I couldn't stop to think what if? What if Catherine made a diary to store her memories, so that part of her would still be out there. Now, I've heard about the horse part, which does make a lot of sense, but maybe since she wrote all her memories, but when we communicated with her, she was only a memory? I feel like if she was a horse she might've tried to communicate with us by now, but she likely wouldn't know where we are and stuff like that?? I believe she could still be out there, running around. Also, remember when we were looking at one of the memories, and Linda said it was a "half-life" or something on those lines?

What if Elizabeth never really actually died? O-O I mean, all we know is she froze in time and then what looked like her shattered into pieces into pandoria. But... in the second soul rider book (I know I talk a lot about the books but they just contain so many interesting facts and clues 😂) ***major spoiler ahead*** Elizabeth is cursed by Pi and she turns into a will-o-wisp which Linda is able to capture in a cookie jar and keeps Elizabeth’s light with her until they can ask Fripp to get her back. Elizabeth is back a few days later just as new as if nothing ever happened. So maybe something similar happened now again - she still exists but we need to find her essence to be able to bring her back. I’m thinking about that little secret fox mission. Isn’t that supposed to be Elizabeth? I don’t know honestly haha. But I just really feel like she’s not actually gone permanently 🤔

Hey! So I know this is an old video, but this theory might be valid. I found in the secret stone circle something.. In there you know on the ground there's this big purple drawing of the Soul Riders and their horses doing the light ceremony AND above the 4 of them is drawn a Horse-man. Standing on 2 legs a humany figure with horse head, holding in it's hand something. Looks like it's doing magic. This could be Catherine!
Someone in these comments said Catherine could be our starter horse, maybe during fighting Garnok, Catherine reveals herself or we'll have to become one with her! What do you think?
Back in Starshine Legacy the horse-people befriended a horse and its rider (presumably Aideen) and thereby created the Soul Riders. Since the drawing in the secret stone circle has been there since the beginning of the game, I believe this is simply to show where the Soul Riders got their powers. Of course, I don't know where the new lore will be taking it, or if they might remove or replace the drawing altogether - after all, the Soul Riders don't look like their predecessors anymore, so they wouldn't be able to recognize themselves in it (like they did in Starshine Legacy). If anything, they might replace the horse person with another girl, which is supposed to be Aideen/the fifth soul rider (us) 🤔 anyhow, I think it's unlikely that it's supposed to represent Catherine in particular, or that it's a clue of her still being alive
