This is the first time I've heard him perform Finding Neverland songs without that awful Scottish accent! SO much better! The effort for him to put it on definitely took away from his performance in emotion and vocal clarity during the show but here he is just fantastic. - Фільми й анімація

Thanks so much for posting these videos!!!When did you see him in " Finding Neverland?" His accent was never very good, but it at least got more consistent later on in his run. His vocals in general just got better over time too IMO.

I thought the accent was atrocious, it kind of ruined the show for me lol. :) It's not entirely his fault that they made him sing in a Scottish accent though because critics apparently bashed him for singing in an English accent while speaking in a Scottish one. It takes a lot of effort to put on an accent, let alone sing with one, and the Scottish accent is a particularly difficult one for Americans. On top of that most people sing with "pure vowels," which is the most natural way of singing, and it's why sometimes we think British singers "lose" their accents when they sing (e.g., Adele).
I actually haven't seen it live, but I've listened to audio recordings and such. Plus the cast always did a lot of public appearances and things.
I'm sorry it sort of ruined the show for you. I think Morrison is a very talented performer, and it's a shame that a dodgy accent detracted from that.

Yeah, he really is a great singer. This version of " Neverland" is so much better than the one on the cast album. The emotion really comes through here.

Could you say me, what the scottish accent does with english? I see no difference and I am curious what do I miss...
