I do it too. I feed them in 5 different locations since the lockdown happened in march 2020 i thought they really needed our help as no people were out and about and therefore little to no food I spent loads of money but im so happy to know i have helped so many :)
@@DiamondlightT And by the way - you are doing a great job by feeding those great birds :) I once had the opportunity to take care for a pigeon - I noticed one of them in my back yard, and he had some problems with flying. Later I figured that most likely he hit the window and was a bit stunned after that. So I took him home, fed him for few days and released him. Named him Olaf :P it was on last Ash Wednesday and since then I feed all the local pigeons. I'm glad it's getting warmer and warmer, so they find food more easily. I always find it very joyful and relaxing to see how they are eating all the seeds I give them :)

She is unable to fly. I don’t know why but I think it has something to do with her blind eye. She never flies on top of anything. She is even afraid of flying off the couch...she wouldn’t do it unless you push her. There was one time where she tried to fly from the hand because she got scared; she lost control and plummeted to the ground. As far as I am able to say she will never ever be able to live in the wild again which is why I keep her safe.
It's nice to see that there are people who like and care for pigeons. They are very smart and friendly birds
