  • I Restored this shotgun originally in 2022 with a bare bones wood stock and I used Automotive rust treatment on the metal parts, probably not the best idea. In 2024, I decided to use a Smithsonian Firearms "encyclopedia" book for reference on, I guess you could call it "cosmetics". Did a second restoration where I used the grey scotch brite, (pretty sure that is 1000 grit), fine grit sandpaper, (1000, 1400, and 2000) I think. I sanded all the metal parts till they shined like chrome, and the rust treatment made the pitting and the edges of the metal surfaces appear as patina! I guess what I did the first time worked out in the end the second time! I then rattle can painted the stock black, then clear coated it. when everything was dry, I used leftover sandpaper to polish the stock and I gotta tell you, it came out beautiful! A one off Zulu shotgun among all Zulu shotguns! Then I was just itching to fire this thing, and on Sunday, July 7, at about 6:55-7:15, this this thing went off! The words that went through my head as I heard this thing was, "Snyder Tabbie". Probably because it's a Tabbie but it sounds like a Snyder? Of course I was nervous! Very nervous. I was quite hesitant, but it sounded pretty awesome! hardly got any recoil from it and it is SOUND! I can't wait to fire it again. Enjoy!
