Attention❗ I am a vocal coach and in this video I will make a commentary on vocal technique. It means that I will have to stop the video on several occasions to be able to analyze and comment on it. If you want to see the video without interruptions, I leave you the link to the original video below!
Dimash always surprises. This time with a song that is practically impossible even for a woman: Adagio by Lara Fabian. We know how deep Dimash's admiration is for this extraordinary singer, and this is a huge tribute to Lara and this immortal song. Very difficult song technically and emotionally!

They say about this performance, that he "left it all on the stage." Wow, I do not wonder why he sang with such intensity. He was pleading for his professional life. What if he had been eliminated? We may have never heard of him.😢 For me, it makes the performance even better!

I am English and I speak no other languages. Yet I have never been bothered by the mispronounced words in this performance. He didn't even speak English at this stage. For me, it is the sheer emotion he conveys that moves me. Moves me to tears. Even in your excellent technical explanation of this performance, I still ended up with tears rolling down my face. I had to pause you video a few times because I couldn't read the subtitles because tears blurred my vision! And you paid Dimash the compliment of equally noting his emotional and technical interpretation of Adagio. I never tire of your detailed analysis Giacomo. I think the only reason that Dimash can give himself over emotionally is such an intense way and not lose technical precision, is owing to his incredible devotion to practise over the years. With less application, one aspect would surely suffer for the other. Yet he is able to reach dizzying heights with both simultaneously! We are so lucky to be living in his lifetime. Thank you once more for a wonderful video! ❤

Show must go on " merita , grazie ancora Giacomo , ciaooooooooo

Dimash really had emotions in that stage of The Singer contest in 2017 because in that contest in every stage someone was eliminated, and he had a weaker stage before and he needed to win that stage to stay in the contest and he did it in -a brilliant way with this Adagio! The scoring system was something like the 500 spectators, who were not ordinary people but professional musicians, voted, in each stage there was a winner, but at each stage the votes were accumulated with those from the previous stages and a total ranking was made in who was last ranked was eliminated! In the end he finished in second place about 200 votes from the first place (7000 votes 14x500 were available at 14 stages) but in fact the votes were manipulated at the end to comply with the rule from then that this contest had to be won by a Chinese! Due to the subsequent reaction of the audience on TV and on the Internet, the following year that national rule was changed and in 2018 Jessie J from Great Britain won! In any case, the one from the first stage with that already famous SOS that had over 600,000,000 views in a single day on the Weibo network (a kind of Instagram or Tweeter of Chinese origin) remains an anthological record! A fact that caused from the next day that Dimash could no longer leave the hotel without bodyguards! And the contest lasted 4 months with one weekly stage! Of course with daily repetitions!

    Opera 2
    Adagio
    All by myself
    S.O.S
    The show must go on

Adagio is an italian word, that means "Slowly".
This is also used in music to define the pace of a music (a bit slow, between lento and andante) and also as a name of a piece of a sonate, concerto or symphony that is using that specific pace.
The music from this song of Lara Fabian is a pop translation of an italian classic piece called "Albinoni's Adagio". It was written in 1958 by Remo Giazotto who was an admirer of Albinoni, a musician from the 17th/18th century. He claimed it was from him and give his music this name but there is consensus today that he most probably has composed it himself.
The classic music piece is globally famous and was translated into a pop song for Lara. She wrote lyrics in english and italian for it and is the original performer.
She kept the title Adagio and wrote a story with a double meaning: a woman that is awaiting to find her love / an artist that is awaiting the god of inspiration.
This song has become a classic and has been covered by many : Shirley Bassey (!!), Dimash (Lara is his absolute idol and he covered several of her songs), Floor Jansen, Polina Gagarina, Giulia Falcone, Laura Bressan, Anastasia Luna, …
They made great covers but none of these match the amazing storytelling performance of Lara, or her ability to use vocal subtleties to be in sync with the music, exposed in this live from the concert From Lara with Love.
Her italian version is also amazing.

Dimash begins sitting by playing the piano, soft voice and then stands up and continues. He ends up on the other side of the stage kneeling and with crazy high notes are D5/E5/F5 for 14 sec. amazing ending.

👉 For non musicians: The language of music is Italian. Adagio is an Italian word and is used in music to denote tempo, meaning: 'calm', 'slow'. In this song, adagio roughly means: If it is to be, then it will be.
The interpretation of the song by Dimash is brilliant. He touches my heart and soul ... every time.
The shaking of his head and the trembling of the chin has nothing to do with the vibrato. It just goes to show that Dimash can be a little nervous and tense too. It was about a lot. In the previous Episode 5 (Uptown Funk) he yanked everyone out of their seats but still got last place. Either he won now or he would go home. Of course, Dimash won Episode 6.
That classical baroque melody cannot be assigned to any particular artist with certainty. Today it is one of the most popular works of “classical music”.
Camilo Sesto wrote 1985 the original lyrics in Spanish to this piece. Lara Fabian wrote the lyrics in Italian and English. Composers Rick Allison, Dave Pickell and Lara Fabian arranged the piece into a pop song. Since then, this song has been part of Lara Fabian's repertoire.
    * Lara Fabian (Lara Sophie Katy Crokaert) *1970, is a fantastic Belgian-Canadian pop singer and songwriter. She has sold over 20 million records worldwide and is one of the best-selling Belgian artists of all time. In 2017, she returned permanently to Montreal, Quebec, to be with her family.
At the age of eight she studied at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels (10 years). She is classical trained, speaks 6 languages and sings in 13 languages. Her albums have been awarded gold and platinum in the whole world.
Lara is a great role model for Dimash. Even as a child Dimash wanted to be on stage with Igor Krutoy and Lara Fabian one day ... and for Dimash the dream came true of the 65th birthday of Igor Krutoy in 2019.

Dimash is the best singer in the WORLD and there are no doubts about that, his voice is a prodigy of nature and a genetic marvel since his parents are two glories of singing from Kazakhstan since he was 5 years old, he sings publicly and has more than twenty years of lyrical training and graduated from the university of music, he is a singer, composer, arranger and multi instrumentalist, he plays more than seven musical instruments and sings in more than Ten(10) languages, he is also a great performer and a great artist who lives and feels music He is not an imitator of voices , Dimash has his own style and is one of the forerunners of the "POPera" he also has a very pleasant, HUMBLE and simple personality, easy access, which makes it very easy to follow, he always travels with His family and friends is a very educated person and an example to follow, he has become known for his musical talent not for getting into trouble or scandals, It has a very wide vocal range of approximately 7 octaves ,he is a singer with a wide vocal range very versatile is Baritone, TENOR , Soprano, counter TENOR, mezasoprano, everything at the same time is how to have 5 singers in one, it has a male and female voice, also many resources such as vibrato, "melismas", falsetto, Staccato, whistle tone, reaching a( D8 )live "Outside of Piano"at the concert of Gakku in an unforgettable day, at his young age he continues to improve and grow musically to perfection, he has a good physical presence he measures 191 cm or 6 "3", he is very famous and recognized in Asia and now he is becoming known In Europe and America, ALL their songs are spectacular, it always goes from low to high, soft to spectacular at the end, in my almost half a century of life I never heard so much quality and it is the hope of continuity of the classical genre because all the old tenors have already Almost all of them died and Dimash can sing like them but none of them can sing like Dimash, being a Man he sings better than any Tenor and his female voice is superior to that of any average Soprano, greetings and a hug from USA 🇺🇸 "Dears" Forever ❤️ Sorry for copying and pasting my informative comment in ALL the Video reactions to Dimash what I see but I do it with the intention of sharing information about him and what I think that in the music industry there are many artists who have been successful and have no talent and are bad people and they do not set a good example for the youth, Dimash and his music deserve to triumph in America, Europe and the whole WORLD, do you want to have already read my comment please come by without problem there is always someone who for the first time knows this information and I won't get tired of sharing it with all my friends"Dear" around the world, thanks for reading and for supporting Dimash 🙏🏻S.O.S.

Yes, many of his fans are worried about his knees {including me!} So much so - Chinese fans regularly meet him at airports etc. with gift packs of protective knee pads! Which I can see no sign of him wearing in performances. Reports are he's so careful of his 'instrument' - particularly his diaphragm strength and lung capacity - I do wish he would take the same care with his knees. ( Knee replacement surgery is not always successful... and to my mind - having worked in orthopaedic rehabilitation - that little bit of extra artistic emphasis is not worth potential lifelong disability.)
Meanwhile, many are surprised to see Dimash at the piano, but he does play multiple instruments, and I gather won his first piano competition aged 8! Part of the magic is how he pours so much of himself into his performances and you can frequently see everyone - including yourself! - holding their breath WITH him on those long notes. Usually running out of air long before he does! 😊😆🤣

I've never understood this attachment, or commitment to the original song become so important. If the 'original' artist did it one way that is how they see or hear it going in connection with their voice. I've heard, just like now, you checking if he was singing it in the same key, as if it was different it would somehow be a black mark against their cover of the song.
Now Dimash is in a unique position in that he can sing it in multiple keys either higher or lower. There is a young singer from Kazakhstan named Daneliya Tuleshova who has a conventional range. She has a voice that is lower than most has had one since she was 10. Every time she sings a cover that some people are quick to cry "foul, foul" if she starts the song a half note below what the original was sung at as if she is cheating or something. My opinion is she has the best natural singing voice since Karen Carpenter in tone and timbre'. She also has a heartbreakingly beautiful head-voice. It is so crystalline and fragile and yet is strong and defiant in it's vulnerability. Daneliya also has a latent cry in her voice that really accentuates the emotional depth she gets when the song calls for it. She is normally very expressive but that is achieved so subtly you know it's there you're just not sure how.
Well I'm not sure what my point was. If you find one let me know what it was. Thanks for your reaction.
