hey i have a 2016 camaro as with the stock spoiler, will i have to drill holes in the trunk for this one to fit? or will the holes match up with the OEM ones?

Hey Camaro family! I own a 2018 Camaro 2.0T in Europe (Vin registered trim is: "Export". For identification; It has the factory small spoiler, 9-speaker bose, selectable LED lights in the doors etc. but since I cant really be sure about the trim type, I want to ask anyone here if this spoiler would fit. (I can remove my own and look at the screws, but first im leaning on anyones experience here).

anyone have issues with the studs? I installed them very carefully making sure i didnt over tighten them and 3 of them ended up going through the other side and getting stuck inside the spoiler rattling around. They are sending me another one under warranty.
Damn that does look good, don’t tempt me I’ve already changed up my spoiler situation twice, don’t make it a 3rd time lol

do we have to drill into the trunk for a zl1 or are the holes made into the spoiler? They knocked it out of the park with this one! well-done.
Yes, making holes in the factory spoiler would be necessary for any of the wicker bill options.

@@derekkash7224 my apologies. Yes some additional holes would need to be made on the trunk of the ZL1 models.

I have a question I just bought a 2021 LT1 Camaro but it didn’t come with a factory spoiler how would I go about that?
You would have to make the holes for any spoiler to be installed. Since your car did not come with the factory spoiler the holes would have to be made.

I have a 2020 SS with the mid rise stock spoiler. will I be able to replace my stock spoiler with this??
Yes, you can replace the factory spoiler with this one. You might need to drill an additional hole for mounting purposes. Drake will supply a template if it is needed.

If your car has the factory spoiler, then YES this spoiler will bolt right on.
Question, if you used to have a zl1 wing do you still need to drill holes or you can install it without drilling new holes?
These are per the instructions: A direct fit for 1LE Camaros and RS Camaros, but
designed to fit all models with some drilling required depending on
application. Template view in Installation for reference, also included
with spoiler.

What did you use to cover up the holes? If you don’t mind me asking.... I’d like to purchase the same thing you placed to cover holes
We used some double sided tape to cover the holes.
Is that the 3M tape? No leak so far if its raining?

No, this kit will not come with anything to cover the holes. You would have to find a solution to get those holes covered if necessary.
Does this spoiler cause any problem with your factory backup camera?
If you have the backup camera in the antenna, then you should not have any issues. If you have the camera in the rear spoiler, then this spoiler will not work.

Yes, the 2023 1LE will have the same mounting points as the RS. So mounting this spoiler should not be an issues.

Ik it’s been a while but I seen that is supposedly direct fits to the 1le spoiler. If you did buy it did you have to drill holes or did it direct fit? I have the same car lol

Although the spoiler will fit there is no provision for the antenna that sits in the convertible models.

You will have to line the spoiler up and mark the holes as best as possible if your car does not have a spoiler.

I have one like this. Sorry, but I had to remove the clear piece, the reflection in my rear view mirror drove me nuts. I probably don't have much down force but, the looks are fine without the clear piece ;) ....Make one without it please and without the cut out ;) ...Camaro owners are already alright with not seeing out Lol

No, this kit will not fit the 2010-2015 models. It will only fit the 2016-2021 models.

No you should not need to drill any holes but you might have to cover one up that will not be used by the mounting hardware.

There is a template but it will only work on the SS and ZL1 models. It will let you know what extra holes need to be made for those models.

Yes, this spoiler can be used on the V6 models. If your car already has the factory spoiler this video will be the same installation.
Mine is a ls version, no factory spoiler doesn't have holes so I need the templates
Since your car does not have the factory spoiler you will have to make them. Unfortunately this spoiler does not have a template for that kind of set up. You would have to make the holes on your own.
It fit 2016 1lt camaro?
Depending on what version of the 1LT you have, you could need to either cover or make some holes. Other then that fitment is not going to be an issue.

@@v6camaro867 Not a problem! I would suggest double checking the hole placement before making them if you plan on going with this spoiler. Just so it all looks even once installed.
