I went ahead and bought the Galaxy Z fold 4. Yes, throwing in thousands of dollars on a Foldable phone comes with risks, uncertainty and unknown, but I have decided to give it a try so I can test it out and share with all of you the story of my first foldable.
After two weeks of usage, my thoughts are: yes, it’s time for us to switch to a Foldable phone. It’s no longer the bleeding edge. Z Fold 4 is ready to be our every day daily driver. However, it takes a while to adjust and get used to its weird aspect ratio. What are your thoughts?
Great review ... I love my Z Fold 4. You're the only one to highlight how great the fingerprint sensor is. I also love using it to pull down the notification shade by swiping down on it. I never noticed the little rubber bumpers until you showed it . I've seen a million reviews on the phone and no one has ever mentioned these ... Great job!!
Thanks for appreciating all these. There are actually a lot of well considered design like the little bumpers which Samsung has put a lot of design thoughts into it. Its nice to share it with all of you.
I also noticed with the Samsung cases the little bumpers are not blocked which allows them to still function as a cushion when we snap shut the phone, whereas other third party cases designed the case too thick and they are blocking the little bumpers.

Oh wow Ben, thanks for your compliment. Very happy that my video is useful to so many of you. It's definitely something to get used to using a foldable. Like I showed in the video, it's unconventional and a lot of things we do might need to change, some for better or for worse. I am still wondering how long the folding crease will last, hopefully at least a year or two. So far so good after 35 days.

I'm loving my z fold 4 in beige. I traded in my note 20 ultra and I couldn't be happier. I'm loving the fold edition s pen its so comfy, the note 20 pen was too small in my eyes.

Wow I actually relate to your issues. I'm currently considering one myself and I still have and like my note 10 plus. The one thing I wish it had was a micro SD card slot.
Yes I am a note 10 user, so I know what you are saying. I got the 512 GB Z Fold4 so I don't need the SD Card slot. I am lucky to get a free upgrade from 256 to 512 GB and I only paid half the price for this Z Fold4 after trading in. For got to mention in my video, it's not worth buying full price for this phone. Thanks for sharing.
@@SkyPerspective got a fold 4. After 3 days. Didn't like it. Went back to my trusty note 10 plus. I might consider the pixel 7 pro next.
Yes, the fold is an interesting phone and lots of changes to get used to. You have given me an idea to talk about in my next z fold 4 video. Thanks. I haven't ventured and tried out the pixel family yet. Maybe i will replace my note 10 with a pixel phone, but I love my note 10 which I used to shoot my first video on this UA-cam channel. 😄
@@SkyPerspective yeh UA-cam app was inconsistent during transition between folded and unfolded mode. Just one of the annoyances.

Hey LessThanAMinuteOr2, so happy to know my video is making a difference to your purchase decision. I wonder how many more out there are like you. Yes, I wish Samsung could build in the the SPen in the new Z fold 5 and that would be perfect. The fold is a unique one of a kind phone and it does takes a little bit of getting used to if you haven't used the previous folds before. Its great after that.
Love my Z FOLD 3, maybe I upgrade to a Z FOLD 5, time will tell. :)

@@SkyPerspective replying on my Z Fold 3, I have had it over a year, case-less, probably dropped it about 4 times mostly when I first got it, and no issues at all. Everything works great, and so happy with this phone, came from a S21 ultra.
Wow you are making me wonder if I should also go caseless too. So tempted. Good to know Fold 3 can last so long and well. Hopefully the replacement of the under screen steel plate in the fold 4 doesn’t make the screen weaker. Thanks for the info, you have given me a topic to discuss in my next z fold 4 video.

@@johnnykeener3727 Yes that's right. I am extra careful even with the case on. I don't think I have the courage to go caseless yet. Even though I got the phone for half the price, it's still cost over a grand.
Is been 2weeks since I have my fold 4 and I had a iPhone 12 pro max previews to it and I love everything about my fold z 4 I have no regrets so far but my only concern is that I drive concrete trucks and there is lots of dust in my environment should I be concerned? Let me know please
If you work around a very dusty environment then maybe this version is not for you. I work in an environment that is dusty as well I find myself constantly cleaning the screen and im always checking making sure that no dost gets into the hinges or below the screen.
Dam well that sucks I already bought the phone I guess I should of did more research on it 🤦♂️ SMH thank you for the info
@@josetorres6735 the z fold 4 is an awsome phone I have not had any issues so far. It is surprisingly very strong and is equipped with some bristles on the hinges and a couple of other things to help keep the dust out. But over time some dust might get into the phone. Thats why I got the insurance for my phone I would rather pay a bit more extra a month and know that if something were to happen I am covered.

Good call Jose. This phone is not meant for rugged use.
My only complaints about the z fold 4 are that you can not use thebs pen on the front screen also the cameras need to be better quality if im paying $1800 I should get flagship cameras also some apps have issues when I tryband use them on the main inner screen. Besides those issues it is a great phone itbis wasome for multitasking and viewing videos or movies it's basically a mini tablet.
U pay 1800 for the foldable screen (basically a tablet) not the camera. If they were selling a phone that looked like the S22 and it had 50mb camera at that price point I'd agree. If u said for 1800 I'd expect the spen to work on the front screen sure. But to want the best camera with the newest processor and foldable tech.
@@JesusPerez-yc6yu you are actually paying $1800 for the whole phone including the foldable screen and the new chipset seeing how most people take alot of pictures and videos from their phones nowadays and alot of the reviews from z fold 3 also said that the cameras could be better they decided to upgrade the cameras to that of the s22 if they can fit those cameras in then they should also be able to add the cameras from the s22 ultra it really doesn't cost them that much more to put them in if they would do it I would pay a bit more for that im not the only person to feel this way about it either if you go through most of the reviews they all tend to say the same thing. Seeing how this is samsungs most expensive phone and it does have the newest chipset adding the best cameras should be standard. The cameras that currently come on the z4 fold are decent they are definitely an improvement from the ones on the previous versions. Which is a result of most of the people that reviewed the zfold3 basically said the same thing about the cameras so samsung decided to upgrade them. Hopefuly on the next version of the z fold they will put the cameras from the s22 ultra atleast.

@@UnknownuserhtpsIt does what I need it to do if you dont like it then don't buy one its not for everyone I use mine every day I am constantly multitasking on it sending out emails watching videos editing videos and pictures on it I take full advantage of the office apps on it as well its basically like a mini laptop if you know how to use it properly. But like I said its not for everyone and it still needs some improvements its a new form factor that will definitely get more refined as the technology gets more advanced.

Multitasking isn’t anything special anymore because apple has it with the dynamic island so you can literally manage 4 apps at once
