I am soooo damn sad now that i finished watching POI. I seriously fell in love with this show. The characters were phenomenal!! No other show can compare in the spectacular performances. I was so heartbroken when Root died that i literally had to remind myself that it wasn’t real. That’s how amazing the cast was. I am totally crushing on Root and Shaw. #TeamMachine

I read a comment on something else that Amy Acker can have chemistry with a chair. It’s the most accurate thing I’ve read about her that’s an opinion. She’s adorable. Any sane person would have a crush on her.
It's interesting what Sarah said about the simulation "It's the most Shaw could ever show". It reminds me of an interview a couple years back where Sarah said that she honestly believed Root and Shaw never hooked up, because Shaw would have to overcome tremendous obstacles before she allowed herself to go there with Root and be vulnerable. This confirms it, I think. The simulation was showing a Shaw at the apex of her character development, only a that point would she be a little romantic and intimate with Root.

I don't think the kiss was a simulation at all. That was the machine's solution and the attempt that was real and after the kiss Shaw was shot risking her life to save the others.
To me, it makes sense what you're saying, I was not under the impression that they ever really got to hook up ... the writers say that they did have sex before the show ended though. But to be honest, to me that just sounded like something they would say to please the disappointed fan base, I don't know.
I just got through binging on the entire series. These two really made the show for me. Obviously the other characters were integral in the overall success but the interplay between these two and their stand alone characters were fairly amazing.
Weird that 2 straight women with kids could almost write the scripts for them. Even in the first scene where Root was about to torture Shaw with an iron, they chewed up the scenery, and I was thinking get a room! Best TV couple ever, amazing acting. hope Nolan finds a way to keep it alive, miss POI so much
I hate how they made her look in Marvels GIFTED , they made her look too 'momish'. I also can't believe that lady had the nerve to wear a skirt and sit next to her. Amy has legs for days , and that elephant leg in the shot next to her almost ruins it lol. It seems like this room is majority female , they went insane whenever they got within arms length. Sarah has an amazing body , but Amy just has something about her. I think one of her more flattering scenes was when she played the Ballerina when the machine was changing her ID every hour. She takes out that assassin and the guy instantly proposes to her , classic . A lot of the cast were in real life relationships together , which gave them great on screen chemistry, Michael Emerson and Carrie Preston (Finch & Grace) have been married since 1998. They killed Root so she's off the table in a spinoff discussion , but Shaw on the other hand I would definitely watch a show about the 'Relevant' list and her time as "Indigo" working with "Control" . Or an entire show about Root before she started being a good guy , when she was an insane Black Hat Hacker/Assassin. They finally moved to Netflix for season 5 , I thought that would bring longevity to the show , but when they announced the 13 episode setting , I knew it was over. I am not re watching the show for the 4th time through in 2 years. I am an ethical hacker/network engineer , so this show was more than entertainment for me. If you want to check out a very clever show, less sexy, but extremely well thought out try LEVERAGE. It also lasted 5 seasons , why do all the good shows last 4-5 seasons. Even Mr. Robot is pulling the plug in this final season 4 , all of my tech shows are dead. At this point I would even settle for CSI:Cyber coming back , great stories , wrong cast .

I am really sad now because I have finished watching "Person of Interest". Its great to see Root and Shaw together again. It was an excellent show altogether.
The ultimate scene stealer, yeah, that's what these two ladies are. Other than your character, who was your favorite character on POI... and why was it Bear? It's too bad we didn't get an answer to that question, the woman who asked it and threw that part in at the end did a real disservice to her question.
