I met him once at a protest in London. He was very famous then but you wouldn't think it to speak to him. Very grounded and genuine, a really beautiful man. Funny too. I was saddened to hear of his passing a few days ago. Rest in peace, Jeremy. My condolences to his daughter and widow.

Yeah. You are so right. Saying "we need a fairer society where people are paid the living wage, people with benefits receive enough support to be able to survive, and tuition fees don't get students into tons of debt". What idiots, eh?

Let's abolish tuition fees and let working class who don't waste time going to university pay for it through their taxes.Dickhead.

I went to university. I am working-class. Tuition fees are one of the things that make working-class people not go to University as they can't afford it. Dickhead.

The other day my husband took a tumble in a tube station in London and injured his head. The staff were brilliant. The station manager was Italian and had been in the UK for over 30 years. There were 2 transport policemen who were lovely - one of them was originally from Australia, and when we got to hospital he was treated by a brilliant doctor who said he'd come from Pakistan but was born in Dubai. They were all so good, professional and caring at their jobs which are not easy jobs in London and I wondered what would happen if all these immigrants suddenly disappeared.

Wow just found this and even today the LP should use it as a party political broadcast. Jeremy was spot on with what would happen to UKIP as well. Great fella who was a Socialist from head to toes who never sought fame but instead supported those in struggle.

Except they don't It another myth. Immigrants put more into the economy pro-rata than the British people Our country has always had people from different countries come here and work and fight for us since the beginning. We have always had a diverse country and that has what has made it grow. It is great that this interview was before Corbyn became leader but echoes his policies.

Super rich - Jeremy’s Director partner, whom he shared a house with, makes her money placing the super rich in to top jobs in tax efficient rappers - she works with private equity companies, international banks, tax dodging silicon valley companies, privatised rail and utility related companies the list goes on - her previous companies placed workers in zero hours contracts - socialist Jeremy was a landlord and director of a property company funded partly funded on inherited wealth. He used his personal wealth to fund bail payments for members of terrorist organisations subject to international arrest warrants. RIP all the victims or IRA, Hamas and Hezbollah terrorism.

Strontium - that's fascinating. Do you have some links? Do you think she is just using her filming as a front to placate the lefties? From what she writes you'd never guess her other side which you've exposed. Look at this!
"2013 I developed my project Without Child - due for completion in 2017
In 2014 I produced the Make Apartheid History campaign promo which was launched in July 2015
I have spent 2016 documenting the refugee crisis in Calais, Dunkirk and Lesvos. I have photographed portraits in Lesvos for the Refugee Council, have directed a C4 News feature Ahmed’s Story, about a seven-year-old Afghan refugee’s perilous journey to the UK in the back of a lorry. I filmed and photographed the plight of the Iranian hunger strikers in the Calais ‘Jungle’ for Ai Weiwei’s Human Flow film and directed footage featured in a BBC news feature about the work of Calais volunteer, Liz Clegg."

Just another troll. Says its rubbish but no evidence. Most people from the middle down have seen their income eroded over the years while profits stay high and the really wealthy get wealthier. The ones at the bottom who were just managing just cannot anymore.

@@Marvhead “everyone complains about people standing in the street”. Never mentioned in 30 years.
London areas change frequently . No they dont. Areas are very stable indeed.
“UKIP Target poor areas”. Untrue, they target areas of high immigration and weak leadership leads.
Newcastle full of Irish history. Untrue.
I could go on. My favourite comedian (RIP) but politically talks utter nonsense that seems to sound right. He sells it. But truth is it is indeed all factually incorrect. 4 minutes, 4 Hugh fibs. Not going through them all.

The man is (was) a cretin. Even the simple stuff. Increase wages as he advocates, without increasing production and prices go up, nullifying any benefit of the wage increase!!!
And what benefit do British people get if immigrants are doing the work? The company might profit but the ordinary British worker gains nothing.
And no honest person would claim that in areas subject to high rates of immigration British people are happy about it. It’s a total lie.
Again, it’s the obvious stuff these lefty cretins can’t understand. Are ordinary British people pleased to know that because of immigration houses built a hundred years ago for POOR people can now only be afforded by RICH people?
Of course the loonies think the answer is to build more houses. But houses are the least of it. We need more roads, railways, schools, hospitals etc. We actually need a large city, with all that that implies to cope with a third of a million people coming here every bleedin’ year.
And again the imbecile thinks we must bring in immigrants to solve the problems caused by . . . . IMMIGRANTS!!! How’s that for stupidity?
It seems we have a crisis in our maternity hospitals. The answer? According to the mental defectives it’s to bring in more immigrants. But the crisis in our maternity hospitals is caused by the immigrants!! It’s because nearly twenty-five percent of babies born here now are to IMMIGRANT mothers.
I could go on. But it’s truly frightening to realise just how much influence these nutters have on our lives now.

Old Man I work in a 90 bed nursing home. The 90 residents are white British. We employ 149 staff. Over 115 are from Spain, Italy, Eastern Europe, Jamaica, Africa and the Philippines. 16 of these are highly qualified nurses. ..we have 17 nurses. We find it incredibly difficult to recruit white British nurses and carers....but like I say, every bed in our home has a White British resident in it! Who would care for our residents if we didn’t have these immigrant workers, ( who you claim are causing all our ills)
We are an island. We are all immigrants ,
