My parents lived paycheck to paycheck, and weren’t able to buy me new clothes very often, so having a supportive friend who let me borrow her clothes, shoes, and jewelry - basically, her entire wardrobe, without making me feel bad, belittling me, or making fun of me for not having new clothes - truly made all the difference! If you’re the friend who has the nice wardrobe, please have a few outfits picked out in advance, so that the friend who doesn’t have clothes to wear doesn’t feel awkward! 🦋
