Yo, this is rad. Hope you keep at it. A Realm Reborn is a serviceable story though a little long. Also, it'd be pretty wild to get Connor on the voice cast in XIV somewhere.
I do wish people didn’t lean on the “It gets better after ARR” crutch as much to get people to play, because a lot of folks are going to be disappointed. If you’re following the story then yeah of course that story is better by a mile, but the game never stops being 90% dialogue and talking to NPCs. It’s like reading a book, you can tell them the sequel is better all you want, but if they’re not actually reading it then the experience of turning pages isn’t going to be much better.
Also, arcanist becomes summoner and scholar, a healer and dps, and both of them will level together because same starting class, it’s a healer that uses shields and such

I do hope at some point in Connor’s JRPG streams, he plays the Xenoblade games. They are some of my favorite games of all time, and are just incredible JRPGs.
