@@DennisSchmelz You have just begun, and its good that you started from "the end", you've seen the celebration of final truth, i.e. death. Now you need to witness celebration of life also. You need to visit Mathura/Vrindavan for Holi, Anandpur Saheb for Hola Mahalla, Maharashtra for Ganpati festival and Dahi Handi, Kerala for Thrissur Pooram, Gujarat for Garba, Bengal for Durga Pooja and Ayodhya for Diwali, Varanasi again for Dev Dipawali. These are just a few famous festivals, and there are still more at many places. Your hunger for photography will surely get saturated in India. I remember the title of a book by famous journalist Sir Mark Tully - " No Full Stops in India."

Ok, i remember now something I missed in above comment.
If you're an artist (of any sort), and you haven't visited Khajuraho, your journey of art remains incomplete, and you can only understand the value of this statement once you visit there, because if you have missed something, you'll never know what you have missed. Imagine a place where you find a thousand Mona Lisas... carved in stone... and. their magical smiles taking a new look with change of every degree of angle of your camera.
By the way, I'm just a layman, not an artist, still I'm confident of my view, if I can find this sea of art so impressive, i just can't imagine how much joy and satisfaction will it give to a person involved in arts, to a connoisseur.

@@Show_what_I_Love As I mentioned before, I always aim to highlight contrasts, showing both the good and the bad, which you can find in almost every country. In India, however, the extremes feel especially pronounced. The first few minutes of the video focus on India’s beautiful sides. I love India and would never portray just one side of it. Life is all about contrast.

And democracy means not like China where on party rule is their not like America where one step ahead it, two party rule, its 1200 political parties in India so political management would be another challenge..now imagine, if any country in the world would have face one out of these problem what would the condition of them?history is saying maximum 20 years, after it any country can collaps,or can be handled by China or USA indirectly but india is deffrent thing..with this all challenges, India is following independent foreign policy as well...its easy to critises india on pollution, on hygiene on numbers of things but do any country have 5% chance to survive in this conditions independently?, BIG NO...and you know what is the best part of India? Indians know that people are so racist with them, they are making joke on them, but still Indians will welcome those troller with love and respect..thats the values of India, thats the values of SANATAN,,,,,you can hate or you can love india and hindus..but you can never survive without india..that's the fact..

Did you pay to those local artists such as the one dressed as Shiva whose photos you have been using and marketing for your documentary? You know that you can't use close up photos of those people without actually taking their consent and paying for it. Great work but do it the right way. You know that you can't do this in Germany without being sued for millions of Euros. Don't abuse the system there just bcs you had the camera to click anyone. Go back and pay to the artist after taking their permission or remove their close up shots from everywhere. India is not for free. Try doing that in backward Germany and you will face the heat

If you seen the optimistic thing..then you can find out lots of contrast..you have seen pollution, garbage on the road and water.. unhygienic, overpopulation, social gap between in society in respect of economy... it's true, no doubt and we have to change it...but you know our Bharatiya Sanatani Culture has borned and come from this land ,water and this nature from more than 7000 years ago...we never borrowed it from other land and we protect it and taken it with current every situation..we never persecuted any people or society with base of religious and their believes...you know even jews are living in Indian from 2000 years with out any persecution,,where Roman..Muslims even Nazi s era in Germany had been strongly persecuted jews..modern history of Europe is the best example for it..Today German people never talking about this darkest period in ww2,openly ,what they had actually did with human civilization...but those concentration camp...holo cost,documents.. photo's are the biggest evidence ,that what they had actually done ...
India have never been done anything like that in its 7000 years history..we are not only tolerate people ,but also accepted everyone views...

Out of chaos stars are born, out of too much order hitlers are born (Not a criticism, just an observation). West & westerners tend to see India only from the outside. The colours, smell, dances, architectures, wild life, mess, trash, garbage chaos, poverty etc... but they fail to see and understand the deeper complexities and spontaneity of Bharat. Everything is temporary and nothing can be controlled nor be fixed in this plane of reality.

European countries are stealing India's culture by giving it new names, like making plates and bowls from leaves or mixing turmeric in milk and giving it a completely different name. If you want to take it, go ahead, we don't mind sharing. Our scriptures and religion teach us that sharing leads to growth, so we have no problem with it. But please, don't steal it like this. Jai shree ram ❤❤❤❤😢😢😢

What an amazing video Dennis! I have myself never visited Varanasi but man I get chills seeing those shots. I'm an Indian myself who has grown up with a very western mindset when it come to the things I'm chasing in life and trying to build a good life and only the last two years have been phenomenal in understanding my own culture. The part in the video where you ask the question 'did she live a good life?' 'was she happy?' is such an intriguing question rather, like I started asking myself due to life circumstances these questions that 'what does a happy life look like really?' What came to me was happiness is a very Western concept and I then turned back to understand what goes on our in most of the Indian minds and what our culture advises is that we live for our karma and dharma, dharma as its explained is doing our duty. So, I assume she must've done her duty (whatever that would've been) while her time on this planet Earth and if she did it with honesty and integrity that adds onto her either good or bad Karma which is carried on this life and the next so it's all a chain of the life cycle. And in India we also believe in the concept of re-birth which is also something very deep which basically means we'll be reincarnated again to live another life and we cannot really live it all or do it all in one life in co-relation to YOLO western concept of living life. I've realised that's also one of the reasons why Indians are so kind and try to do good to other humans because of the Karma and Dharma mindset (not considering the bad things that happen here cuz of modern day problems like poverty and that follows on) It's something I've also started to learn more about my own country's culture and philosophy of life, it's giving me more life and meaning than ever! Jai Hind!
