That grey livery is similar to the Chiltern Mainline trains that run north westwards out of London Marylebone towards Oxford and Birmingham Moor Street. I saw one today whilst stuck in a queue on the motorway!

Thanks my friend, I'm very slowly on the mend but as a diabetic, the healing is at the pace of a snail. I hadn't recorded a model railroading video in at least two years, so I was overdue. @@bhigdaddymark So good to hear from you. Like you, the wife is on a very slow mend with diabetes. My MG is somewhat in check and just completed everything from the kidney surgeries. Hope to get back to St. James' for the holidays and hear that magnificent organ. Haven't been since 2019. Your mastering of the instrument on video helps lift me. Thank you for that, not to mention I love model railroading. All the Blessings of the season be with you and those you love.
Awesome British trains Mark. I don't have any (yet), but if I had subway/metro cars I would run them above ground without any care whether it looked prototypical or not. The good thing about the commuter type cars with only 2 doors is that they do run at grade and above ground normally. Heck, you can just imagine it as a LIRR or Metro North if you want (I am while watching the Class 350). You have to tell me how you got the interior lights installed because I believe that Bachmann doesn't sell them with the internal illumination.
The newest (3rd?) run of the Bachmann London Underground S-Stock set doesn't have interior lighting and I don't know if it's an option to purchase for modellers to install, but I don't think so as it wasbwhen my son gifted me my set in 2015. My tech installed the interior lighting on my London Underground set as well as many other sets including all of my Walthers Proto NYCTA subway sets for me on which he also did the directional lighting upgrading. To my knowledge the London Underground also runs above ground as does of course the NYCTA subway trains. On a British themed layout, I'd only run the S-Stock underground and not the Class 350 but then again, if I were to have a British themed layout, I'd consult with my tech who's from Liverpool and have him directly involved in the building of said layout. Man, I love this stuff and wish that I had the money and space to make my model railroading dreams become a reality in HO, OO and O scales. Hell, I wish that we had an O-scale club in or near Orlando where I could run my subway and M7 sets.
