Replaced filter with my 2008 Kia Optima and it took about 5 minutes. My only suggestion is to hold the clip on one side as you unfasten the other as I had it lock back in place if I didn't hold the other one out. Otherwise great video and instructions!!
It appears the filter was changed before. Why do I say this? Because the frame/bracket for the filter is missing. The paper filter is placed into the bracket and then the whole thing reinserted. I suspect whoever changed the CAF before threw out the filter and bracket. Your video was helpful and saved me $40-$50 at the stealership.
This is a common issue & most likely, you knocked off some debris from the filter into the blower fan. Once you clean it out, you should be good. What ended up being the issue?
I almost did everything correctly. Then the filter cover was not coming off, so I thought I had to remove the screw that was above it. Then, I saw the video.
almost 8 years after your video, i just changes the filter....thanks
Works same way for my 2009 Kia Borrego. Thank you!
Thanks for the info, it didn't take long for me to change the filter
