I'd settle for a version that doesn't crash all the time, doesn't have pieces turn black for some ridiculous unknown reason, and has a working combat vault.

They should probably get Netherrealm on it, you know there'd be a million UA-cam views, and that's sales, even using say, roughly 2008 animation tech (so it's not crazy expensive like an MK game, but still fun to watch.)

originally when chess invented these time they use army commander than mugal era mugal use vajir which means prime minister and when it reaches west Britishers use queen because most powerful in British kingdom is king and queen.

This is how chess is really a battle board game involving lots of strategy and critical thinking as part of human life on planet Earth in any way, which really holds true. Normally it involves military operations and personnel, including the US Army and US Marines, chess would still apply to this in any way.

@@Dan_09th That is a thoughtful way to put it. Since I have started to become a chess player with autism in 6th grade receiving special education services, I actually don't find chess hateful or overrated in my way.

I think this was almost perfect. It just needs Monty Python's Holy Grail soundclips to make it so. Like when a piece kills a pawn 'Bloody peasant' or when the queen is taken 'Shes a wiiiitch!' rings out. Oh yes.
Also a clergyman wouldn't have impaled his opponent in the Mediaeval world. They were authorized to wield crushing weapons like Maces ,Warhammers and quarterstaves because in theory they didn't shed blood which was forbidden.
Original had Holy Grail reference in the knight vs knight battle, where one knight keeps chopping the other knight's limbs.
Makes me miss Battle Chess I had on my old PC. That was fun

@@ChrisB_517 yes but that's just a minor flaw the og battle chess was SO FUCKING SLOW. I mean pieces slowly saunter over to there places and the graphics looked pretty bad. Trust me battle chess needed this remake

@@EasyBakeOven12 The pawn isn't that powerful, It's the queen that's truly powerful, the pawn has the potential but it needs to be heavily guarded until the end, and most of the time, it starts to undergo the process of awakening it's true potential only at the endgame.

Yes you can at least on the original disk on PC I would think for there PC/steam version that would have wtuffbthatbwas not originally on the disk

this game is from the early 2000. I agree they need to take the code add to it updated it. Make pvp and storylines where you can level up your character or characters. Like mix this game and castle crusader. So you can be in a clan and take down other strongholds in top of playing chess for certain things. I could go on and on but with just what I mentioned the game would have a major impact in the gaming / chess community
how would leveling up a character even work?
if pieces got buffs or enhancements the game would cease to be chess anymore. Imagine capturing a rook or something but it refusing to be captured because your "attack" is too low, or it's "defence" is too high. That is no longer "chess"
@@ANM21985 no buffs for the chess part but the castle crusader part you would build army's to take over castles / strongholds to kill the king and win that section you would play the game of chess but for my army to beat your army faster I could buff them different ways depending on what kind of army I had built. I got the idea for the game I just don't know how to code.

Damn, as I see this I think of ways to make it looks more interesting. For example I always imagine pawns that are facing eachother just fighting, unable to advance because their lack of combat skills, creating the choke points you get because of it. Only being able to advance with a cheeky sideways move on an unprepared opponent. Generally, pieces that are next to eachother should do some fighting animation. Also, the knight doesn't ride a horse? He's supposed to jump elegantly and not pass through like a filthy peasant on foot :( But everything else, very nice ^^
Yes, Thinking of a chess as a battlefield is truly interesting, I always imagined knights to be on horses though, wielding a lance and charging straight through the opponent, and the bishop was kind of the archer/sniper.

What is this game
It’s chess, except that it’s a CGI-animated version of playing chess. The characters are dressed in those cool costumes. Whenever you capture a piece, the camera zooms in to show the footage. However, it is sometimes disturbing to watch the footage, because whenever a chess piece gets taken, it gets captured in a very brutal way. After that, the camera zooms back out. In fact, after checkmating the opponent, the king gets killed in a very gruesome manner.

It astounds me how after 30+ years the animations are STILL... TOO... SLOW... don't you understand that we simply want chess with neat graphics without spending too much time on animations? Just make it short and sweet! That's it! No ACTION ANGLES, no wasting time, nothing. The units turning is too slow as well. Why does it have to be so archaic?
I also felt they were way too slow. I'm working on a chess game similar to this but with a twist. I'll definitely take note to keep animations short. No one wants to sit and wait.
