Motortrend+ didn’t have commercials but costs monthly / yearly. I’m happy MAX is covering it as well. I think it’s extra on top of regular cost but I’ll get whatever one is cheaper

well tbh, I thought formula 1 had bad camera directing, but wec is pretty bad, I get that there are a lot more cars, but when there is a battle for overall lead, I don't know how it's hard to miss that and it makes sense to focus on the hypercars, I think a lot of people are watching because they wanna see those battle and the GT cars are a nice bonus
Monza needed work on their infrastructure as tribunes and road to access at the circuit. At the moment they are working hard for the f1 GP. Imola help them take care wec Italian round. Congratulations for your job 🙌
I have better expectations for this season than last season, in fact this season could easily be the best season in the history of the wec, mainly because of the level of the competition not only on the track, where last year there were some very good races, but also because of the level of the participants, both drivers and teams in the two categories, both hypercar and gt3, the level is very high and also because in hypercar you have everything from last year and new brands such as bmw. But also in gt3 you have the brands that have been competing in gte plus some brands that are making their debut in the wec like mclaren or lexus and also at driver level the level is very high because you have drivers that have been in gte plus others that come from other championships like the gt world chalenge or the british gt champioship or even the imsa but they are still great pilots

I'm excited for my return to endurance racing. I haven't been a viewer the last few years. I felt like the racing got stagnant where for hours of racing, drivers would play follow the leader and not really "race" until the last hour or two. I caught a few races late last season and I'm still catching up on the rules changes but the racing seems a more competitive now.

With all the prototypes potentially available, and the « no-WEC » entry, as the Glickenhaus 007 LMH, the Vanwall Vandervell 680, the old Peugeot without rear wing (when the new ones arrives) which will no longer be running in the WEC, and if we add the teams that want to enter the race an existing model with LMH and LMdH (an other Porsche, Ferrari, Alpine/Nissan, Acura/Honda) and perhaps brands or teams who want to develop their own models. What does the future hold for these cars? An idea, a proposal, it will be complicated to create a new series/cup/championship, and couldn't the Fanatec GT2 European Series, with an average of 20 starters, accommodate them? I am really looking forward to this season. The only criticism I have is that I think factory efforts should have been prioritised over customers in hypercar. In this case, the 2nd jota porsche and 3rd ferrari hypercars should have made way for the Vanwall or second Isotta Fraschini. But, oh well
Well the customer cars could fight for wins / podiums, IF and Vanwall will have trouble to keep up or finish at all. Not sure it would make a lot of sense to include them.
Great video ! I wonder if the upcoming prologue in Qatar will be available to watch? Many storylines to follow apart from the 4 new manufacturers in the HYPERCAR class. I used to follow F1 religiously but these past seasons its become major boredom. I started watching WEC & IMSA. Next season there is a 10th manufacturer arriving : Aston Martin with their Valkyrie People want diversity and WEC has that with its many manufacturers contrary to F1. F1 attitude by rejecting Cadillac Andretti bid confirms they are heading the wrong way.
Ngl there's no need for BoP in the LMH and LmDH category. Because Porsche is the BoP there's more 963 on the grid then any other models. There's LmDH having the additional advantage of racing in IMSA. With the application of a new and improved crankshaft Porsche does seem to have the numbers and performance advantage....Does the BoP apply on teams or across models? Its gonna be good racing but also very chaotic imo... Cant imagine how attentive the LMGT3 drivers have to be of their rear view mirrors.
There currently are rebels shooting rockets at the red sea so all of the ships have to go the long way around Africa to arrive at the circuit. If they stuck to the normal schedule many teams wouldn't be able to take part in the Prologue.
Because there is no class for their team to run in. Last year they were the "Innovative" Garage 56 entry, it's not really innovative if you do it two times in a row though.
Teams didn't like the facilities, WEC had their first race of the season on a Friday (at a very late time for Europeans), WEC was basically a support series (apperantly many didn't even know WEC was going to be there), It gives WEC more freedom to create a calendar since they don't have to work around the Sebring 12h date.
There isn't really that much space for them with more manufacturers for hypercars coming in. I heard they can still race on regional endurance championships though. And as said above they'll be racing in Le Mans, probably because the circuit is large enough to accommodate 40+ cars
There needs to be BOP sadly due to some cars having AWD and others only RWD. I think all cars need to be RWD and then BOP can be removed. That would be amazing!
read the rulebook or something man cmon... there HAS to be a piece of media out there on the internet that would tell you exactly how LMH and LMDH cars work.
Bop is the worst system to be implemented in racing it makes working hard to develop a competitive car a meaningless task. You can have make the best car on the grid and get penalised for being that good. They should add a compensation to teams for having to use bop on the faster cars.
Well it's the best system we have. What other system do you suggest? It usually ends in a development battle otherwise which isn't good for teams or manufacturers. Also there is a point in building a better car. There still are more and less successful GT3 cars for a reason.
@@MaenfyThe current bop rules making it such as once a team builds a good platform they just stick to it forever since even if they make it faster it'll be boped anyway. It makes sense for smaller teams to keep improving their platform but for big teams its not worth it so we'll be seeing the current grid of cars for a long time just with different colors each year.
@@mostz-3182 this is not F1 where we see new car every years. Everyone using same platform for long time, heck even in P1 and Group C many use older platforms until it run out of development potential. Also, there are ways more than developing car for pure performance. Ergonomic, serviceability, and ease of access in endurance can increase performance.
BOP for me is Manufactured racing. its not real racing if we are honest! Balancing the cars, Limiting the budgets by using Cheap Old power units ( BMW-old DTM engine/Cadillac-old DPI engine/ Porsche- Old ALMS engine/ Alpine-old Formula 2 engine ect....) LMP1 was much more technological prototype series. nothing Hyper about these cars. in fact they are much slower! The LMP2 car from 2019 is Faster than the best 2024 Hyper or LMDH cars. This is all Manufactures using a racing series as cheap as possible for marketing!
Let's hope the BoP will be more B and less random.
