Although TikTok users are educating each other, the most POWERFUL aspect of social media is that people are sharing THEIR OWN experiences.
People are filming in real-time, unfiltered, what they are experiencing on the ground, and we see how those same experiences are being omitted, ignored, or completely dismissed in the media.
There is literally NOTHING in this world that 'israel' can say that would remove or justify the thousands of videos, photos, and voice recordings, children blown into pieces, headless, burned to a crisp, women and men massacred and abused in concentration camps, documented rape, forced starvation and the obvious ethnic cleansing happening in front of us.
    That in itself is POWER.

Id like to add another layer/circumference of understanding of the colonialization by bringing in the Kurdish situation to the equation. Cause it is connected and vital for liberation. The purpose of the divide is to weaken the Middle East, and especially since Iran, Turkey and Syria are attacking, cleansing, burning and bombing as we speak, and we've been pitted against each other, with Turkey making homes on ethnically cleansing projecets in Afrin, we need to get smart together and not halfway.
It started in early 1900s with the plans of redrawing the map of Middle East, and the Sykes Picot treaty. Part of the plan was to divide the region into weaker nation states from the former empires that previously ruled. Which is connected with the drawings of Palestine. Kurds were promised to also have a nation state, yet the brittish wanted to ensure a puppet ruler, preferably someone who already had influence in the region. But also they preferred the plan to divide the Kurds to the other nation states to pit us against official ethinicity, as to make us all busy and weak to fight each other while they grab our resources. This is ongoing ever since, and is something we need to understand is opposite of liberation.
Even at the inital wool over the eyes plan of making also a Kurdish nation state had its purpose to colonize, divide and rob. A war broke out because of this against the brittish, but was lost. The rulers in the area, both Kurdish and otherwise have been puppets since. To keep this divide is to ensure the further weakening of Middle East, and the colonial purpose.

@@s.zen.4587my interest in the Middle East began when I learned about the Peshmerga all women's unit. At that time, it was the Kurds who were helping people to escape from ISIS' persecution & fighting off ISIS, but the U.S. didn't support them & also didn't do much to eradicate ISIS. To me, the Kurds, I would consider were the first responders to go up against ISIS.

Constantin Zureiq, who coined the term Nakba, barely mentions refugees and rather states in his book (the meaning of the Nakba ) that the actual catastrophe was the Arab nations loosing the war to the Jews. Zureiq goes on to discuss the history leading to the defeat of the 1948 war and its greater consequences for Arab nationalism, stating that seven Arab nations failed the task of "suppressing Zionism". In other words the catastrophe is humiliation of loosing a war to Jews who were historically seen as “less than” the Arabs in colonial Middle East. Sorry to dispel the notions of all those thinking that the Nakba has anything to do with “forced displacement” or the plight of refugees.

This conflict is very complex with an incredible amount of history to understand...both sides have their narratives...this particular conflict is a trangulation, Hamas, Palestinians, Israelis, so that makes it much more complicated than a straight binary. Hamas does not have Palestinians best interests at heart.
The wildly barbaric muslim brotherhood is a part of it...again, there is simply so much nuance to understand here, not to mention the barbarism of Islam.
Calling for the River to the Sea, is, in essence calling for a genocide against Israel. There can be no goal of complete irradication of either side, if peace is to be acheived.

    • @tottance77
      @tottance77 4 місяці тому

That is zionists talking point to say “it nuanced and this story is very complexed”. No it is NOT. It is VERY simple.
If you steel it doesn’t matter from which ethnicity you are stilling from you are still a thief! The nakba survivors should have at least JUSTICE. Without justice there can be no peace!
If zionist jewish people have the right to return after 3 thousands years SO Palestinians should have the right to return after a few decades to the place where their fathers and mothers and grandparents and great grandparents etc. were BORN!
If Israel grants the right to return and citizenship to a certain religion or ethnicity BUT not to other ethnicities that have the same claim THAN it is de facto proclaiming itself as a racist antidemocratic society.
Other zionist talking point to say that calling for “from the river to the sea” is calling for genocide of the Israelis, such a false narrative and zionist propaganda garbage that the wast majority of the world see it for what it is.
Tell us! If “from the river to the sea is a call for genocide of israelis than WHY the same phrase is commonly used by Israeli officials????? Don’t you know? What it means than? You have internet so if you wanted to know you would know. Or maybe you just thought the world still did not know. The world knows, has heard israelis say it in a truly ethnic cleansing prospective.
I am part of a minority that leaves in the region where I leave for 600 and more years and counting, at one point in history part of the minority (they say was a majority than) was scared of the hysterical political changes (crimes against the minority were perpetrated and not persecuted) so they left for Italy and left behind houses and others similar things. After some times a political agreement was reached between the new established country and the country where the minority escaped AND a solution was find for the houses etc. left behind, they could choose to retain their rights on the houses or accept monetary compensation. Not all were happy about it but their rights were recognized, some justice!
      So justice is possible!
Zionism is a cult, and if Israel stop to exist as a zionist ethnic supremacist state it is all thanks to zionists and their derangement and stupidity.
Zionism and their illegal occupation (the UN calls it that) is what makes, in a lot of experts opinion, the two state solution impossible, so “bravo zionists” sarcasm of corse.
Calling for the freedom of Palestine from the river to the sea is calling for a 1 state solution that is secular and not nazi, with equal rights no matter the ethnicity or religion of the individuals!
The ones scared of those words (like freedom) are the ones that enjoyed the apartheid state of israel from the side of the privileged ethnicity and religion.
Israel has the choice to survive like Germany had in the 40’, it can survive if it rejects zionism just like Germany rejected nazism.

I'm all for a Palestinian state but not through Hamas (or even PA) and as a "reward" for what happened on 7/10. Gaza was given a chance in 1995. And instead of embracing it and striving for a peaceful future, they went into a self destruction mode instead. Pity.
As for Nakba, a lot of people around the world lost everything after WW2. Borders got redrawn, new countries created, causing millions upon millions refugees, either through forceful expulsion or fleeing violance. None of these millions and their offsprings are classified as refugees today. They moved on and created a new life where ever they ended up. So while what happened to the arabs in the then Palestine is very sad, it wasn't unusual. What's even sadder is that if the division had been accepted, a Palestine would exist today, alongside Israel.
Let's hope this lady will see a true state of Palestine one day, living peacefully with all it's neighbours, even Israel.
The moral of the story is, don't start wars, wars are bad.

Zuheir Mohsen (PLO leader) 1977: "The Palestinian people do not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians, and Lebanese. Only for political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit the existence of a distinct "Palestinian people" to oppose Zionism. Yes, the existence of a separate Palestinian identity exists only for tactical reasons, Jordan, which is a sovereign state with defined borders, cannot raise claims to Haifa and Jaffa, while as a Palestinian, I can undoubtedly demand Haifa, Jaffa, Beer-Sheva, and Jerusalem.”

You’re right - Jesus was born Jewish and was born in Bethlehem which is in the West Bank, which is Palestine.
      Jesus was Palestinian.
I hope you can appreciate that religion and ethnicity are two different things. For example, if there are indigenous people living on a land for thousands of years, it is illogical for a person from the other side of world to claim that their ancestors have lived on that land based on that religion. It’s equivalent if a Chinese person may say that they are now indigenous to Canada if they converted to a belief system of an indigenous tribe. People convert, but you cannot change your ethnic background. I hope this offers a learning opportunity to reflect for you and anyone reading this.
