    How can it be any comparison. I brought a 2024, knowing the 2025, was coming out. I don't regret it. I'm sure the 2025 is much more updated with a nicer interior and tech. Infiniti makes vehicles whose style stand the test of time. I just like my 2024 sensory Qx80, because it's got swagger style and the ride is smooth.its built like a tank. I love that. I didn't care that the 2025, was coming out. I'm sure the cost would have been higher for the 2025, and I save money and still got a sweet ride. 😅

      The price difference cause a pause! The 2025 is nice but is it worth $20-$25K more? The used market will be $30-40K less. That much money requires a … pause button.

    Welcome back Infiniti time to step back up to the plate and you did. Oh can you please put a 9 speed in the QX50 and the QX55 for 2025. Bet your sales on them would go through the roof .

    Infiniti is done. Nissan 🇫🇷 ignored them for too long. The glory days of the G35 are over. Lexus, Lincoln, Cadillac and Genesis are eating them for lunch. This new QX80 looks like the love child of a Navigator and Escalade. And not in a good way.

    Pricing for 2025 QX80 is simply out of touch. And another mistake was 4 cylinder turbo to replace NA V6 in the QX 60 for 2025 model year. Barely got the transmission right going away from CVT crap and now this 4 cylinder killed all the appeal of their QX60. I was actually myself considering leasing QX60 this year or next but now Mazda CX 90 turbo inline 6 looks even more appealing than ever before.

    • @SchwayZ
      @SchwayZ  27 днів тому

      Yeah they definitely went more upscale with their pricing going head to head against Cadillac and Lincoln.
      As for the QX60, it's a beautiful car. Sad they got rid of the v6 for 2025 but have you test driven the 4-cylinder? It's actually pretty peppy and you might be surprised. And if you're leasing it, you won't need to worry as much about reliability

      @reginaldriley1335 18 днів тому

      @tgrigor1 2025 QX80 hads a twin turbo V6 with 450 hp. More hp than previous QX80.

    • @tgrigor1
      @tgrigor1 18 днів тому

      @@SchwayZ I drove this turbo in QX55, felt pretty brisk, however QX60 is 800 lbs heavier even when fitted with this same 4 cylinder and they didn’t even dump the power output. Value is down , refinement is nowhere near. The older I get the less I appreciate the lag/delay and surge turbo experience. I want linear and predictable power delivery even if I sacrifice 0-60 by a smidge. In this case 4 cylinder is actually 0.5 sec slower at least at sea level

    For ProPilot Assist 2.1, in the "Blue mode", it does indeed steer the lane change for you, it just requires you to put your hands on the wheel while the maneuver is happening. And in the "Green Mode" (Or ProPilot Assist 1.1), it will also steer around corners, but it requires you to keep your hands on the wheel at all times and gives you a few seconds of hands-free before it starts shooting warning messages.

    If they drop another 10k from 2024 that would be a steal. They might actually do that to push 2024 second gen out. I mean you get faster and lighter vehicle with all the bells and whistles, MPG virtually the same. Proven reliable V8, what’s not to like unless you are a tech geek and must have all this very latest technology ( also adds to potential reliability issues)

    • @SchwayZ
      @SchwayZ  27 днів тому

      Yeah I've always said that a mid 70k 2nd gen QX80 is a great deal. At $90k it wasn't competitive but like you said I think they'll be discounting them to move inventory now

      @inchlorIentztJiIu This truck can't compete with a Escalade and I'm a Infiniti lover. Infiniti missed the mark again. I bet you would have bought or liked the Monograph concept over the Escalade. Go check it out and tell me what you think.

  • @djmitchell3464

    Infiniti missed the mark again, and I'm an 15 year Infiniti owner. They had an opportunity to compete and possibly take over the market of the Cadillac Escalade, Mercedes GLS, Range Rover, and BMW X7 of They would have just produced the concept. Nothing was wrong with the concept it was perfect. Being that Infiniti took also long to finally create something new, the concept was due to the market. You could have parked that QX80 concept next to anyone of the vehicles listed and it would have stood out just from style alone. They could have made the concept the top tier model with a v8 engine 500hp. It could have been the Maybach GLS of Infiniti or M series of the X7 BMW, or SVR of Range Rover. Infiniti needs to step it up to the Germans and leave the Lexus class. Infiniti needs a more luxury sport trim offer that can compete with Mercedes, BMW, and Range Rover. They have the capability performance wise just from the GTR alone. The only thing that improved was the interior, the exterior will get old and blend in real fast. The concept was the way to go and this model being shown could have been a lower trim model. Bring the v8 back, if Mercedes, BMW, and Range Rover can keep them so can Infiniti. Also Tesla already gave Infiniti the green light to produce a concept. The Model S is exactly that. Infiniti is the king of concepts and need to produce that unique style for the masses. Trust me the public will buy it. If folks are buying out Cyber trucks for sure we will but Infiniti sexy concept cars! Infiniti always play with our emotions and never deliver just like the Black S Q60 that fell apart with F1. Everyone happy about this Qx80 like it's really a Escalade killer lol nope the Concept was the Escalade and Range Rover killer. Just go type in Infiniti QX80 2025 Concept and tell me which one you buying. The price Tag of 112k no v8 is crazy but that concept could have went for 155k with a twin turbo 550 hp v8 5.7 easily. Come on Nissan makes a 565 hp 3.8 engine. Can't be that hard to make a v8 twin turbo😂😂😂

    • @SchwayZ
      @SchwayZ  27 днів тому +1

      Thanks for sharing! I'm not sure I've seen the concept you are referring to. I've seen the QX80 monograph concept and I feel like this design is very close to that but perhaps there's another concept design out there.

    • @djmitchell3464
      @djmitchell3464 27 днів тому

      @SchwayZ Yes it's similar, but consumers want the concept. Similar and exact is 2 different things lol....ppl will buy the 2025 regardless because it's new, but real Infiniti owners are tired of the teasers and would prefer the concept models over the years. The new design is okay but they will fall back in that slump again because they seem afraid to just go for the kill. They changed the body lines can't you tell? The side and rear is completely different. The closest look is the front end and they changed it. It's 2024 give us the perfection of the concept. The cost to produce the concept is the issue. That's just their way of saying we're afraid it won't sell lol idk what's the deal with these car manufacturers. Can I ask you which would you prefer the Monograph or the Autograph?

      I think they did good for a company that’s repairing themselves from the huge financial troubles they were having with Covid only making the ditch they were in even deeper. For infinity/Nissan to keep their vehicles somewhat relevant competing against companies that didn’t have these problems like GMC/Cadillac and Ford/Lincoln I give them a big plus. The design of the 2025 qx80 is exactly from 2017 that they are now just bringing out. A lot of the Tec ideas modern vehicles are using were brought about by Nissan.
