I just noticed that the British ranks are very similar to the Canadian Ranks...How did I not notice?? I'm a Warrant Officer, Master Cadet in the Canadian Cadets.
In my county you only have to be a 4* to get the highest ranks and we also have sergeant major before CSM. You also forgot to mention music ranks- bugle major (not all counties), drum major and senior bugle and drum majors.
With the MTP rank slides they only say cadet in red at the top and not ACF on the bottom to my knowledge but adult instructor ranks say ACF at the bottom
Just a suggestion, maybe you ought to script your videos and run through it once or twice to limit your nervous mannerisms, or record a voice clip at a time for each segment instead of a continuous flow. also another point some battalions or counties do have a 4* WO1 or U/O as Master cadet is optional and most times not achievable by most as they do not enroll at a young age.
Thanks for the feedback Kye, The voice clips were actually recorded for each rank first and when I added the images of the rank,I would adjust it to the time of the voice, I thought it would be kinda obvious that it was segmented but apparently not. I have tried scripted videos, unfortunately I have a tendency to go off it anyway, as being a Mild Dyslexic reading out loud is not particularly good. I will take your feedback into consideration, thanks again mate. (:
My uncle was a Grenadier Guard, served in Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan twice, he was a lance sergeant (corporal in most regiments) like above all foot guard regiments differ slightly
Ghost Gaming well it depends, you have to be at least 14, respect all NCOs and all COs go on all camps and help other recruits also participate in other things I.E. Activities
I`m a Corporal, Master Cadet training simply because of the structure of my detachment. Promotion through the ranks come depending on different counties, companies, volunteer adult instructors, years of service, star level and skills. Also you missed Sergeant Major as Company Sergeant Major and Regimental Sergeant Major are both appointments rather than ranks. Also I appreciate you trying to do this; but make sure you know all the facts first before posting especially as you can edit and double check the video before posting it. Also if your doing a British Army Cadets Rank Structure, then use the cadet names only, Warrant Officers are for the Regular Army and Reserves, and there`s no `stripes` its chevrons, pips and crowns. Finally not all cadet ranks have ACF at the bottom of the rank slide. Most counties have the adults with ACF at the bottom and a blank rank slide with cadet at the top for cadets. At least you`ve said about respect and Colour Sergeants for Infantry affiliated regiments so well done there.
Hi Alex, I just seen your comment after recovering my account. Yes, I have realise that now as I've been out for some time and I will be revamping and reworking a lot of my videos as things have changed. No, you're correct there is no "Stripes" but that was commonly known nicknames for Chevrons. ACF used to be common thing at the bottom of said epaulette, I realised that since this video that many things have changed since I was also a cadet, hence the inaccuracies as well. I appreciate your feedback!
CadetsHowToUK well done in receiving this persons critique. Many would’ve simply ignored it. Not knowing much about the ACF myself I simply would’ve watched and understood most. I’m interested in Cadet programs because I’m what you call an adult volunteer with the US Air Force Auxiliary (Called the Civil Air Patrol, or CAP). I was a Cadet for 5 years and raised to Cadet 1st Lieutenant before enlisting in the US Army for 10 years before ending my service to go to college and earning my Bachelors Degrees in Criminal Justice and Business Administration. I rejoined CAP as an adult Officer instructor and have held positions as Flight Commander, Deputy and Squadron Commander, Group Commander, Wing Director of Emergency Services and Communications Officer, as well as Cadet Program Officer. I’m both Ground and Air Search and Rescue qualified, which is one of CAP’s three main missions, the other two are Aerospace Education and Cadet Programs. I’ve been active as a Senior Member (Adult Volunteer Officer, currently Major) since 1991. You should check out the Civil Air Patrol ranks, they are similar to the US Air Force’s, as we are its Auxiliary and part of its Total Force Concept. CAP Cadets participate in the International Air Cadet Exchange (IACE). As you guys say, Cheers!
I do plan to redo almost all of my videos because these videos are out of date, but not only that, the quality is low and i rambled a lot in my videos, so I plan to redo them, but because I no longer have any uniform as I am no longer part of any Cadet Organisation, means it's going to be expensive for me to buy uniform and teach people simple stuff like how to iron uniform and Badge placement.
Sergeant Major, RSM and CSM are all Appointments, not ranks. The ranks like I said are "Warrant Officer 2" for the Large crown and "Warrant Officer 1" for the Queen's Crest. but Company Sergeant Major, Regimental Sergeant Major obviously hold more seniority than just the Sergeant Major.

THE DIAMOND GAMER well it makes sense since Canada is a common wealth realm
We made the cadets first but it's just normal ranks
My friend got colour sergeant and he still is.
I love my rsm rank slide got it at camp
Cameron Smith which county RSM are you coz ur probably bullshitting
Wow well done!
flex much
Another word for corporal is bombardier which is for artillery regiments such as the south notts hussars
Bombadier is more of an appointment, but you're right
MOD generic rank slides do not have the force identifier on them, ie: ACF. These OG rank slides are designed for all MOD sponsored CFs, not just ACF
Caterham Armycadets That's right...But A lot of Regiments do. Such as Mercian Regiment, Army Air Corps, Royal Signals.
You forgot the one star 2 star and 3 star rank
Those aren't rank. They are proficiencies...Class Levels if you will.
TC it's not a rank it's your experience
staff sergeant coming up to company sergeant major
In my county you only have to be a 4* to get the highest ranks and we also have sergeant major before CSM. You also forgot to mention music ranks- bugle major (not all counties), drum major and senior bugle and drum majors.
Jolene Gent I will be sure to make a Music ranks video!
With the MTP rank slides they only say cadet in red at the top and not ACF on the bottom to my knowledge but adult instructor ranks say ACF at the bottom
Some things have changed a bit since I was a Cadet!
I’m hoping to
Be able to join the cadets soon.
under officer was discontinued by the AFC because it wasn't issued enough
+Joe Hepworth but adults still hold it
Fair enough!
Do you know when it was Discontinued..?
Dunno i'm at cadets tonight i'll ask my DC
no it's not the Argyll and Sutherland highlanders just got one
You could have mentioned cadet drum major, and the cadet guards rank of lance sergeant!
Shola Wharmby My apologies, i will be sure to mention them in another video in the future!
Thank you your videos have been so useful for me :D
Ye I in the infantry acf they are called colour Sergeant

Thanks!
Dude, you deserve more subs! Your amazing! Lance sergeant in the marine cadets out
I appreciate that!
N my regiment 2 chevrons is lance sergeant and I am Irish guards
Regiments of Foot Guards differ slightly
Oh right
My uncle was a Grenadier Guard, served in Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan twice, he was a lance sergeant (corporal in most regiments) like above all foot guard regiments differ slightly
The under officer is an opintment not a rank.
It still has it's separate Epaulette that has some meaning..so it will be on here
My rank slide doesnt have acf on the bottom of it
They mostly did the time I made this...apparently changes were made
How long would you say it would take to get your first promotion
All down to the individual, it took me a year to get Lance Corporal and just a couple months for my Corporal
Ghost Gaming u have to be at least one star to get Lance
Ghost Gaming well it depends, you have to be at least 14, respect all NCOs and all COs go on all camps and help other recruits also participate in other things I.E. Activities
What rank are you
Jacob Henson I was a Corporal as a Cadet, but I'm nothing at the moment

@@CadetsHowToUK Nice mate! You planning on making more videos?

In Scotland we get a rank slide before l cpl
+GrantTheftAuto In canada we get rankslides before LCpl too
the Argyll and Sutherland highlanders get them

Can you be any age and earn these ranks?
Or do you have to be a certain age for a certain rank?
Not too sure about that pal, I'll look that up, I know for ATC, you can only be A Cadet Warrant Officer at 18, but I'll look it up for you
which one comes after sergeant major rsm or csm please replay asap
Sergeant Major, RSM and CSM are all Appointments, not ranks. The ranks like I said are "Warrant Officer 2" for the Large crown and "Warrant Officer 1" for the Queen's Crest. but Company Sergeant Major, Regimental Sergeant Major obviously hold more seniority than just the Sergeant Major.
Rambling on. Obviously precision isn't taught in the ACF.
It was a old video, plenty of rambling, planning to go over it again!
Why doesn't this get through recruit's heads????????
ACF Merseyside 4COY I honestly have no idea...But I guess you can show this to your lessons ;)
I know all my basics constantly talk down to me
my cadet regiment we get rankslides
Most cadet forces do.
we all do
The staffs sergeant and color sergeant are also called sergeant major like the QRH
+Charlie Ralph Sergeant Major is only an Appointment.
R u a rank
morgan taylor I was a Corporal In the ACF and I am now a Civilian Instructor for the Royal Marines Cadets (SCC)
