_Show me big circle!_ 🦊👇💫🏃♂️ Glad to see you're back with more BM songs and thanks for fixing the thumbnail. This song is a banger and they usually played this in their concerts, like recently at Australian Tour and more recently at Summer Sonic Festival and every setlist from the Babyklok Tour in the US. This was in 2018 when YuiMetal about to leave the band for good, sadly, and she couldn't performed any song from Metal Galaxy album. Usually this song came after "In The Name Of" intro during live performance, is part of the Dark Side of this Metal Galaxy album and got Sepultura vibes, a tribute to another Brazilian metal band that the creator love and respect. Distortion was supposed to be a live premiere song with YuiMetal dancing at Legend S 2017 SuMetal 20th birthday, but that never happened. Song talks about internal and external conflicts in your own mind, and another face of SuMetal, that's why KobaMetal choose another singer to represent the other side with the growls. The 3rd album Metal Galaxy and live performance version after 2019 got the growlings collaboration of Alissa White-Gluz from Arch Enemy.. There's also and official MV but none of the girls featured there only CGI and images related to the Chosen Seven lore. This drastic costume changes was during Dark Side era, and they're looking so badass, love it too. After this tour, dancers were replaced by a new set of dancers rotation system called _avengers,_ but none of them have a mic or sing, they just dance, but in this era and live tour they were backing up by these two backup dancers called "muscle-metal" by the fans, during big live concert at "Dark Night Carnival" 2018 they put more dancers and a temporary dancer filling the third spot of YuiMetal. Here MoaMetal was dancing behind SuMetal. The Kami Band there were: ISAO and Takayoshi Ohmura on guitars. BOH on bass and Hideki Aoyama on drums, the only change here was ISAO because Mikio Fujioka (a beloved Kami Band guitarist) past away by this time (R.I.P.), it was really a "dark side era" when this two sad events came to this group, without YuiMetal and Mikio the guitarist. Of course if our queen is commanding for a big circle or scream and shout like on this, then we better obey 🦊🤘💫🏃♂️ Btw probably this song took some inspiration from Children Of Bodom - Trashed, Lost And Strungout, so it is melodic death metal, kinda sound like your title, interesting. Next suggestion to meet Black Babymetal subgroup with only YuiMetal and MoaMetal: - Onedari Daisakusen live at Legend 1997, Gans Tomas got this safe to react. See you next time.🦊🤘🔥
Great reaction. The official video was the first they made where the girls did not appear in it at all. It was released in 2018 while Yui was still officially a member, but she was unable to perform, so the official video used visuals which involved the Chosen 7 - this was all part of the Dark Side lore that chapter of the Metal Resistance was about. For the 2018 tour they had this change of costume, a more mature look which was also fitting for the Dark Side lore. Su and Moa were supported by the two dancers (affectionately known as 'Muscle Metal' by the fans) off to either side and the change in the choreo with Su and Moa both centre stage, one behind the other (who was in front varied from song to song). On the album version of this song (not this one as the album version was recorded later) the growl/screamo vocals were provided by Alissa White-Gluz from Arch Enemy as guest vocalist. A full concert reaction? Yes, of course!
Great reaction, thanks! Yeah, Hideki Aoyama's double kick is incredible. The guy is a human metronome. He and Anthony Barone (western kami of drums) are my current favorite drummers. 2018 was a tough time for them with Yui being unable to perform and finally leaving, Mikio Fujioka's untimely passing, all the changes: formation, outfits, choreo, etc. that didn't worked well... and they decided to continue despite all. Not a fan of 2018 but very of their attitude. 🤘🦊
I actually can’t choose just one as my favorite song, I love so many, but, my ranking would be like: 1. Arkadia (this ends the trilogy of the lights amazingly) 2. Brand New Day (a song for the worst days become good and for the good ones to become great/awesome) 3. Kagerou with Kami Band Intro (very mature song and the Kami intro is awesome) 4. ↑↓←→BBAB (this song is a Japan release only, and has never been performed live) I listen to this songs everyday and I never get tired of them..
Great reaction! I don't have a singular number one favorite song. I do have 4 songs currently sitting in my number one spot, though! 1. Akatsuki (2014 Budokan Black Night version) 1. Shine (Legend M version) 1. From Dusk Til Dawn 1. Tales of the Destinies
@@joelyjamz As for live concerts i've found a really good link -> v=NvTD4dzTzfY the circle pits are insane, 2 days in a row, i recall an article from a UK journalist who went to this concert, stating at some point he counted 19 pits...
Love this performance! Man, favorite Babymetal song….that’s a tough one, they fill so much of my musical needs! Recently: Metali Fun & Unique: Tie between Yava! and Night Night Burn Shock Value: iine (music video), yes, even greater than Gimme Chocolate, lol. Concert reaction: hell yes! I suggest “Legend 2015” - New Years Fox Festival Live at Saitama Super Arena (where there official performance of Road of Resistance was filmed). Just all around an epic performance, honestly my favorite of their earlier stuff. This may be a B to get past copy righting though. But, Budokan Black Night 2014 is a very close second, and “For the Fox God” Channel has every song from setlist in HD + subtitled, therefore also much easier on copy righting issues. Cheers! 🤘🦊🤘🦊
👍 👍 If you are going to react to a full concert then in my opinion it should be the LIVE Pro Shot Videos of Day 1 and Day 2 Legend Metal Galaxy concerts 2020 in Japan. They pretty much go through their entire music catalog up until that time. The crowds are amazing and the visuals and sound production values are outstanding Good luck.
2 options in my opinion "Black Babymetal - sis anger" to see something different with only Moa and Yui pefom while Su's take a break and "Amore - live" who is just Su singing alone, clearly one of my favorite. As a drummer maybe "Arkadia" could be a great choice too. Have fun 👍
My favourite BM song is actually a trilogy (Trilogy of Light songs: Starlight, Shine and Arkadia). They show a more mature and emotional side to BM and are just incredible to watch! I'm sure someone will correct me if i'm wrong but it supposedly resembles 3 stages of grief/loss. Please check them out!
do you take other recs of songs in the comments? wanna recommend you another heavy song that as a drummer youd probably enjoy. but i know this is a babymetal video so i dont wanna be off topic lol. but on topic, definitely Megitsune at the 1997 makuhari messe one is a must watch!

Distortion (Babymetal song):-
"Distortion" is a song by Japanese 🇯🇵 heavy metal band Babymetal. First released as a digital single on May 8, 2018 to promote the band's Babymetal World Tour 2018, the song later had a physical 12" release on Record Store Day on November 23, 2018 by BMD Fox Records, earMusic, and Babymetal Records.
Babymetal singles chronology:-
•"Karate" (2016).
•"Distortion" (2018) .
•"Starlight" (2018).
Background and release:-
On February 27, 2018, Babymetal announced their upcoming tour, the Babymetal World Tour 2018. On April 1, 2018, Babymetal uploaded a teaser for Metal Resistance Episode VII, titled "The Revelation", which hinted the presence of a dark side composed of "seven metal spirits". The spirits mentioned were seen in the music video for "Distortion" uploaded on May 7, 2018, representing the Apocrypha of Babymetal, and the song was distributed to the iTunes Store, Apple Music, Spotify, and other music distribution services the following day. It was the band‘s first release since the death of Kami Band guitarist Mikio Fujioka on January 5, 2018.
On September 28, 2018, Babymetal announced a 12" vinyl single that would be released worldwide on Record Store Day on November 23, 2018. The single included a live performance of the song at Download Festival as a B-side, and a Japanese 🇯🇵 limited edition included a jacket cover different from that released in other regions.
Moametal favors the beginning of the song for "lifting [her] up", as well as the interlude for providing a call and response with the audience.
The song was re-released as part of the band's album Metal Galaxy with additional vocals from Arch Enemy front-woman Alissa White-Gluz.
