But I want to say thanks to you as I added the green chilies, the whole small can plus when I sauteed the rice, I added fresh diced yellow onion and bell pepper sliced, it adds so much flavor, its better fresh to me. I ran out of tomatoe sauce and used about 6 spoons of sofrito and a packet of sazon. It came out so amazing. And i stirred it after i put in the water and it made the seasonings evenly distributed.

Thats how my mom used to make it except she didn't season the water and she fried the onion with the rice and garlic. And she would leave the garlic in big cloves lol so you would bite into this huge chunk of garlic. I'll have to try it this way. It looks so good!
For the Garlic fine dice it. sprinkle a little salt on over it. Than take the side of your knife and spear it on the cutting board. This will create a garlic paste which will dissolve easier
Thanks for clarifying how to actually make the rice. People make videos only about the ingredients but not about how to actually do it. I usually screw it up, probably because I put the cover on right away and then open the cover just to check it out. It always turned out mushy.

instead of chicken flavoring i use sazon. 3/4 of the tomato sauce can. no garlic powder, fresh onion. just my twist =) thanks so much for the video. needed a refresher.
always use chicken Broth remember 1 cup of long grain rice two cus of chkn broth I boil my water with cube chkn cubes then set aside make sure when pouring the broth on the rice use gloves to protect your hand from hot steam

I’ve always struggled getting my rice down. My grandma, mom, mother in-law have always made kick ass rice. They have given me recipes/methods and it was always a hit or miss. Now with the COVID-19, I’ve been home with my children all day. I’ve made this rice using your method over 7x and each time it was perfect!!! RTJPodcast sorry, that is absolute nonsense. Rice is made with fresh ingredients. Fewsh pepoer, garlic, onions, chicken, tomato... this is just like uncle bens or sonething like that, hopefully one day you can try a true latino or spanish rice

There are so many bad Spanish rice recipes out there. This is the first one I've seen that actually looks like restaurant quality. You my dear are a great cook if you can make Spanish Rice like this. I make mine like this but use Instant rice so it wont get sloppy and soggy. I will def try this next time. Looks amazing.
Gordon Ramsay says bring it to a boil as quick as possible then turn it to low and let it simmer until cooked. Lifting the lid won't ruin the rice you just lose a lot of steam which will build back up once you put the lid on. Only thing it'll do is add another minute or two to your cook time every time you open it. If the rice is still not fully cooked and is drying out you can always add a little more water as needed and bring it back to boil then simmer. Once you cook it a few times you'll know exactly how long to cook it and you won't really need to open the lid and check it at all.

I just made this recipe for the second time. Just like the first time, it came out perfect. The only change I made was i added 1/2 cup fresh chopped onion with the garlic right before adding the tomato sauce. This is the only spanish rice recipe I will ever make!

Made this yesterday after a failed attempt at another recipe I found online, that one came out very mushy and not edible in my opinion. I basically followed yours step by step and I was very pleased with the results, delicious and went with the rest of the dinner I made with it. Yum!!! Thank you very much for sharing. Only thing I did different was add some chopped up Roma tomatoes at the end.
My advice is. Dont touch it or open it after 20 mins. Give it an extra 10 mins turn stove off tho. It will give extra love . It won't get burn but leave it alone. Dont mess with jt. Just turn stove off period

I think right now thats where i screwed up? My lid didnt cover perfectly and I think steam was escaping. Were you able to fix that or was it too late.

Why are people complaining about the packaged ingredients? It's rice, it's not exactly a rich-person's meal; fresh ingredients would defeat its purpose for a lot of people
RTJPodcast sorry, that is absolute nonsense. Rice is made with fresh ingredients. Fewsh pepoer, garlic, onions, chicken, tomato... this is just like uncle bens or sonething like that, hopefully one day you can try a true latino or spanish rice
You can do either or, I do it all the time... if I don’t have something I’ll substitute for powdered... no biggie... ☺️

There are so many bad Spanish rice recipes out there. This is the first one I've seen that actually looks like restaurant quality. You my dear are a great cook if you can make Spanish Rice like this. I make mine like this but use Instant rice so it wont get sloppy and soggy. I will def try this next time. Looks amazing.

Gordon Ramsay says bring it to a boil as quick as possible then turn it to low and let it simmer until cooked. Lifting the lid won't ruin the rice you just lose a lot of steam which will build back up once you put the lid on. Only thing it'll do is add another minute or two to your cook time every time you open it. If the rice is still not fully cooked and is drying out you can always add a little more water as needed and bring it back to boil then simmer. Once you cook it a few times you'll know exactly how long to cook it and you won't really need to open the lid and check it at all.

I just made this recipe for the second time. Just like the first time, it came out perfect. The only change I made was i added 1/2 cup fresh chopped onion with the garlic right before adding the tomato sauce. This is the only spanish rice recipe I will ever make!

Made this yesterday after a failed attempt at another recipe I found online, that one came out very mushy and not edible in my opinion. I basically followed yours step by step and I was very pleased with the results, delicious and went with the rest of the dinner I made with it. Yum!!! Thank you very much for sharing. Only thing I did different was add some chopped up Roma tomatoes at the end.

My advice is. Dont touch it or open it after 20 mins. Give it an extra 10 mins turn stove off tho. It will give extra love . It won't get burn but leave it alone. Dont mess with jt. Just turn stove off period
