In real life billionaires hire their own detectives and security and even private armies and spies. Sometimes real life is even more interesting than the movies.
Burglaries are important or at least to recover the goods or for people to be compensated for the good stolen. Armed robbery is different because there is a high chance of death etc.
@@EmersetFarquharson Even for non billionaires this is the case though. Stealing things just isn't that big of a deal. Its hard to sell stolen things. Dont let Catherine Zeta Johnson distract you from Johan Widerberg ( the boy who comes to her in opening scene ), one of the finest actors of Sweden. P. S- I am a big fan of his.
He has a supporting role. He doesn't get much screen time. The importance is he there to give her information. Then we shift to her. So I am letting her distract me from him because the movie is not even about him.
This movie was all over the place. Catherine Zeta-Jones' character was so well done, same with the Night Fox. But the whole "Julia Roberts plays Julia Roberts" thing was so stupid on so many levels. The plot didn't feel nearly as smooth, despite the amazing European setting.
@Ao Chen lol those aren't plot holes they just aren't explained. the whole idea behind the nightfox character is that he is a master thief trained by the best in the business but his ego is so inflated he breaks rule number one and outs all of the crew from oceans 11. they don't need to explain how he stole anything as its really not critical to the overall movie plot, in fact I would say it even adds to his character creating mystery as to how he is so good, focusing on his character too much would make it the night foxs movie and not oceans 12. Like danny and tess say at the end of the movie, he is the best thief. but in their industry its not just about being good at stealing something, you gotta have connections.
The only thing that i missed in this movie is what catherine told robbie in the investigation room to break him easily when tow officers couldn’t do it?
She probably threatened to rat him out to the Provisional Irish Republican Army. Until then, he thought got away with stealing from them. Now, he's scared to death of them finding out.
She said and I quote…… “Oh let the sun beat down upon my face, stars to fill my dreams, I am a traveller in both time and space to be where I have been!” But she said it like she meant it with conviction 😂
Did Catherine Zeta-Jones get this role only because Elmer Fudd turned it down? At the 1:12 mark, her ricital of the line "His stwing of high pwofioh cwimes" indicates, to me, this role was written with Elmer in mind...
OMG the guy who came to pass the message, is he TOM HIDDLESTON!? I checked the cast of the movie and his name wasn't mentioned. Maybe he did an uncredited role? Since he placed his first role on big screen only in 2006 and this movie was shot in 2004.
Danny: SHE'S A COP!!!
Rusty: Detective. Actually.
He's so proud of her!
More power for her 😊
What a beautiful shot of that dude running.
I always think of Catherine zeta Jones character in this movie as the Pinnacle of her sexiness 😍😍
HELLLLLLL NO
Mask of Zorro for me lol 😂
Hellll yes
Entrapment with Sean Connery…
The Terminal 🤣

In real life burglaries are nowhere near as important to authorities as armed robberys where people can get killed.
Stuff like this basically does not exist. Pure fiction all around.
It depends on who is being robbed

Strolling through the comment and I've found another men of culture. Salute!
That's exactly why they cast her

Mehhh
Love how you can hear her Welsh accent still.. creeping in when she speaks..
You can tell Soderberg had fun with this project because there's French New Wave all over it----serious Godard vibes.

The whole point is that movie was the con. On us.
I agree. That julia riberts part was a little lame. Just felt out of place
@@chinchy111 I saw it first in the theater, it played well. It was cute, her pretending.
Agree, glad they went back to a formula that worked in Oceans 13
Cant believe she was 36 in this
I can't believe she's been married to Douglas for 20 years....
I thought more
"we should not allow ourselves to be distracted"....30 seconds later; "what!?"
You were saying?
1:33 And Catherine said, "..." 🤣🤣🤣
I had a crush on her when i was a kid
I still do

Thank God she not from Cornwall and we would hav' to list' to that
Huh? She’s a pro
Her character had a chip on her shoulder the size of the Empire State Building.
You know she crazy.
Is this supposed to be an orientation or something?
