Guys you were such a great team. Your show The Virginian is still screening in 2020, on Jones TV channel, on the Sky network in New Zealand. Still love watching your show daily. Love and best wishes to you all for all the wonderful entertainment you are all still giving, My childhood dreams of all of you are still on my TV screen daily. And all those wonderful horses that made the show so exiting to watch. God Bless you all. xxx
I remember watching this show as a kid in Sedalia, MO. We would watch this as a family.. My Dad loved this show. Roberta Shore I had a crush on as a kid but twenty years later, I got to meet her on a flight I was working. She was just the most charming person ever!! So nice....
Yes....All the Actors were great....and absolutely perfect for the show!! They were so much like a real family :-) I cant imagine who picked them all so perfectly!.....and the great scripts and music....it was and is,to me, the best western ever!
I surely loved to listen to Randy sing and play that guitar! A good man !!!!
James Drury was so handsome. The episodes he starred in were my favorites.

I've met Randy and his wife Lana at three Virginian cast reunions, at the Memphis Film Festival in Olive Branch Mississippi in 2011 and 2012 and at James Drury's 80th birthday celebrations on Swanton, Ohio in 2014, he is usually more alert than this, I would say he was just tired or the room was warm and he was a little drowsy. He's a nice guy, as all the cast members are, Jim, Gary Clark, Roberta Shore, Clu Gulager, Don Quine, Diane Roter, Sarah Lane and L.Q. Jones, who wasn't at this reunion, but was in Memphis earlier in the year.
It was was sad to me in the SERIES WHEN RANDY WASNT ON ANYMORE. LOVE HIS SIMPLE COWBOY SINGING AND MARTIN GUITAR PLAYING. ALSO HE WAS A GREAT COWBOY ACTOR AND RIDER
I have agree with showtunestarpower......Clu always improved whatever show he was in....and when he was introduced in the Virginian he did wonderful job.

Clu Granger, who ever he is, maybe the worst actor ever, but Clu GULAGER is great! I sat at Clu's table at Jim Drury's 80th birthday celebrations in Swanton, Ohio last year, he was great fun!

Clu said Gary Clark was handsome, Clu was the prettiest! Of all actors..
I just watched the episode that introduced Clu Gulager (First episode of Season 3) and thought he gave a great performance.

I love Sara’s earrings. I hoe Randy has a good driver cause he is not qualified to drive. The Virginian is my daily medicine. I watch it daily on dvd. I’m terriably addicted to it!

why did randy even show up,since it appears hes bored with everyone...
looks like randy may have had a few drinks to relax himself. he can barely keep his eyes open or his head up. medication maybe too. anyhow, he needs a nap for a few hours.
Doesn't any one know what randy was up to I think it was a shame to sit there and look like your bored or drunk or sleeping I like ready but this was just bad unless he was sick
Or was TimU2Cool talking about STEWART Granger, Jim seems to agree with him. When I was filming Jim at the Memphis Film Festival, he was asked by Boyd Magers (The same moderator here) "I've hear that Stewart Granger was a pain in the ass to work with?" Jim replied "How can you say that? He was in King Solomon's Mines! He came on the set , he fired my Academy Award winning cameraman, saying I don't want anything Drury has, he was a pure, petty in the ass"!
