The set opener. I imagine those jackets were warm, but they didn't last long. Don't think the girls cared for them in the first place. The look of pure enjoyment on your face when the song kicked in. If you want to see the ladies have fun and participate with the crowd a bit more, Raise Some Hell. If you want to see some dueling solos and a group presence, then United We Stand. All from this concert. Shadowmaker, I believe is the bands favorite to play (don't quote me) is great and they seem to do it every concert. But the 2021 version is probably the best, but I think you reacted to an earlier version already. These ladies are awesome. They say when they are on the road, Midori and Miyako room together and work on their timing as well as as new material for solos. Before Judgement Day, Miyako went to Midori to learn how to play faster, There is no video other than the bands reaction to their own song, but Soldier Stand Solidarity is a barn burner. I read/heard that Midori has now 'modeled' Miyako's 6505plus to have available in the Kemper ... Their 'stage presence' typically suits the theme of each song. This is an hour&45min show, so they do 'pace' themselves also, not showing 'every move' on the first song. They 'tell a story' within songs and song-to-song, they deliver a cohesive 'message' throughout. 🐺

Not a bad opening when you consider they were all locked into those Sgt. Pepper straight jackets, which they ditched after this song. I will never understand how Haruna played the drums in that outfit during this song. The song many reactors start with from the band just to get a taste of what is to come. Honestly a good song but not in their top ten IMHO compared to the rest of the catalog. Shadowmaker is still the song many of us Wolfpack members started with in 2017 and the best version of that song is the LIVE 2021 Ride for Vengeance Tour version. This song does confirm that this band is exceptional LIVE and really the best way to experience them is with a LIVE version of any of their songs. Impeccably TIGHT live, I've yet to see a better metal band live on YT or in concert, and I've seen the Big 4, Maiden, Priest, Motorhead, Ozzy, Metal Church, etc. Are you familiar with the baseball term "change up", when the pitcher throws a pitch that the batter is not expecting (typically a very slow pitch after the batter has seen 90mph pitches consistently). I think it will increase your appreciation of just what this band is capable of doing performance-wise. This song, OMG, this song...nothing like it. Truly a song for the ages. Thunder Vengeance is in my top 3 all-time w/Shadowmaker MV and of course Soldier Stands Solitarily, which is the last song off the new album and is an absolute cliff hanger. There's a live stream video for SSS, where the ladies react to their new album with their fans. To me, SSS is a statement song that Lovebites is back and paving the way for new-day metal....NWOLHM, New Wave of Lovebites Heavy Metal. 😃The musicianship in SSS is off the F charts. 🤘
Ignoring vocal styles (which largely comes down to personal perference), when LOVEBITES thrash, they do it as well as anyone, and better than most. I'd love to see LOVEBITES release a thrash album which could include their best thrash songs, then covers of some Anthrax, Testament etc. I'd buy a copy.
I don't think I've ever heard why they wear those Sgt. Pepper jackets. I love the band, but I wouldn't mind if they ditched the jackets and left them in the past. They just don't do anything for me. Maybe it's a cultural thing?

Shadowmaker is still the song many of us Wolfpack members started with in 2017 and the best version of that song is the LIVE 2021 Ride for Vengeance Tour version. This song does confirm that this band is exceptional LIVE and really the best way to experience them is with a LIVE version of any of their songs. Great reaction as usual, waiting for you to do a cover of one of their songs!!!!!
I also still like the Wacken version of Shadowmaker. It gives me the feeling of being closer to the band than in other concerts …

Impeccably TIGHT live, I've yet to see a better metal band live on YT or in concert, and I've seen the Big 4, Maiden, Priest, Motorhead, Ozzy, Metal Church, etc. Are you familiar with the baseball term "change up", when the pitcher throws a pitch that the batter is not expecting (typically a very slow pitch after the batter has seen 90mph pitches consistently). I think it will increase your appreciation of just what this band is capable of doing performance-wise. This song, OMG, this song...nothing like it. Truly a song for the ages. Thunder Vengeance is in my top 3 all-time w/Shadowmaker MV and of course Soldier Stands Solitarily, which is the last song off the new album and is an absolute cliff hanger. There's a live stream video for SSS, where the ladies react to their new album with their fans. To me, SSS is a statement song that Lovebites is back and paving the way for new-day metal....NWOLHM, New Wave of Lovebites Heavy Metal. 😃The musicianship in SSS is off the F charts. 🤘

Ignoring vocal styles (which largely comes down to personal perference), when LOVEBITES thrash, they do it as well as anyone, and better than most. I'd love to see LOVEBITES release a thrash album which could include their best thrash songs, then covers of some Anthrax, Testament etc.

I don't think I've ever heard why they wear those Sgt. Pepper jackets. I love the band, but I wouldn't mind if they ditched the jackets and left them in the past. They just don't do anything for me. Maybe it's a cultural thing?
