Worst part about Alphys being praised for building Mettaton is that people don't know that he is a ghost inhabiting a robot body, as far as people know he is an actual AI robot that Alphys built. The current AXIS model is the actual most advanced robot in the Underground
I hate that it makes her even worse. like she's not the best person but we don't need to make her worse
@@marsgreekgod I mean it doesn't really? It's not like she knew Chujin or did it maliciously, it's just giving us a different perspective. Not to mention we already knew she lied about Mettaton in the original game.

It's rough. We know Alphys, we know she meant well, but essentially she cheated to get the Royal Scientist position. She pitched Mettaton as a "Robot with a SOUL", but it's just a robot being inhabited by a ghost. Chujin actually made almost a sentient being from nothing. You can think what you want, but Ceroba's frustration was justified there.

Ian and Casey’s knowledge of the original Undertale keeps catching me by surprise and I have to keep reminding myself that I found this channel because of the Earthbound Halloween Hack let’s play from way back when. We came full circle and it’s so awesome to see. Been loving this series
27:29 that was a thing in undertale too, where flipping left and right like that you would still get hit by orange attacks for like one frame. Not really and issue normally since orange attacks are pretty rare in undertale.

On the neutral route, there is very little new content until Steamworks, so if you want to save time, the Starlo fight is the place to start for the new stuff.
yeah axis' orange beams are rough, because when changing direction makes stop for a frame or two
also yeah, you have to be mindful to not go the longway on circle attacks
I find it funny that much like Undertale itself, a robot marks the point of no return. Just like Mettaton in the original game, after Axis there are no more fights before the end.
I gotta say, the Steamworks song? Definitely a vibe. You guys definitely discovered a much more groovy song in this episode.

Definitely agree on the Mettaton stuff. Love the greater message about his character, but Toby loves still making characters morally liable. A lot of writers wouldn't go that direction, but it humanizes the character. Mettaton's hypercapitalist utopia and his very awful neutral ending really say a lot about how sometimes entertainers don't always control or manage their influence well enough. The lesson he learns at the end of his fight isn't 'I should stop all this branding and attention-seeking', it's 'people actually care about me and I should probably stay for their sakes'. It seems like the right lesson at the time, but then you realize that he hasn't fully figured it out yet which makes the main cast more dynamic. Not everyone magically resolves their character arc when the main character does. It's just not as realistic of writing.

I would recommend that when you are near the end you go through the entire underground again, all the NPCs and vendors have new dialogue
I think that song at the beginning can be either a groove or a vibe, depending on the mood. You could vibe to it if you want to chill. But if perhaps u want to dance to it then it's a groove.

Hey guys! I watched your hollow knight playthrough, loved it, and subscribed. I really enjoy your humorous commentary and your natural skill at games, it's always a bit frustrating seeing people struggle with what I find easy but you really master games very quickly. I have a request: can you do a playthrough of dead cells? I know you guys have a lot on your plate right now, a lot of games currently but also probably in life, but I think you would really enjoy the game. At least, I know I would enjoy watching you play it.
You've probably heard about it before, it's a pretty popular indie game. The best way I can describe it is like a mix between hollow knight and terraria, lots of content, hidden lore, great combat, tons of weapons. Keep in mind it is a roguelike, so you go back to the beginning once you die, but you lose basically nothing because once you unlock something it is unlocked permanently. Movement upgrades, healing potions, everything is still there. You just have to get new weapons. The game is packed full of content, and that isn't even considering the five DLC packs. The first one (Rise of the Giant) is free so you might as well get it right away.
I'm pretty sure you play on Xbox, and as someone who has played a lot of hollow knight as well I would like to suggest the best controls for the Xbox experience. A - Jump | B - Use | X - Primary Attack | Y - Heal | LB - Left skill | RB - Right skill | LT - Secondary Attack | RT - Roll. You can also rebind the D-Pad buttons, I use Down as secondary interaction. The reason I have secondary attack as LT is because you will most likely eventually have a shield, and having the two defensive options on the triggers makes for a very intuitive and flowy control setup, in my opinion.
Anyway, this has been a really long comment, but I got Dead cells a couple months ago and just really really love it, I don't see myself putting it down anytime soon, and I'd really love to share the magic with you guys. I really hope you consider playing the game. Thanks!
