Thank you very much! Stick the pistons in each bore, then lower the cylinder & insert gudgon/wrist pins. Don't forget the circlips, and DO NOT drop them!
Very careful the assembly of this rare piece of English motorcycling. It gives pleasure to see the whole set assembled with all the affection. Those protuberances in the piston head are intended to protect against overheating over the head, when in very hot places and the machine is being requested a lot. This way, it never punctures the piston head, even with a poor mixture. Here in Brazil it is also very hot and rainy. Have another beer for me. I hope it's from Heiniken. I watched a technical video to measure the degree of salt in beers under a foreign brand made here. The only one that passed the beer test without baptisms of substances to encourage people to drink more was even Heiniken. There is a big factory here in my town. After all this effort to recover this beautiful machine, it is better to buy some boxes from Heiniken soon, as the heat from Australia has risen a lot in recent decades. So when you go to drink, take a sip to the saint (in this case I).
I recently rebuilt a Honda RC30. It has streel liners rather than Nikasil so I checked the ring gaps and oiled the bores. I had the bores glaze busted and cleaned them with solvents and warm soapy water as well. Nothing wrong with the old ways!

If only it had square pistons!
That would be pretty cool
😜👍
