I love the “ready to race” and then the distinctive start of the one cylinder. I’ve had other bikes and rode many different styles but love the Duke 390 for everything that it offers at it’s price point.
The comment on the back brake pedal being not as readily accessible was spot on. I crashed because of that once. Well lessons learnt! Lovely review. Keep riding!
You're doing really well as a new rider I just want to give you one tip and I hope you don't get upset with me. At 10:30 in the video you pull in the clutch to take that turn. The clutch should only be used to shift or stop not to slow down, next time just use both brakes before to the turn so that you have a good entry speed (don't touch the clutch) get back on the gas 😉
I LOVE the 390 Duke. It's the first bike I took on the road after my MSF course. Definitely set the bar pretty high for other bikes in that class. :)))))
Protip for bad weather, the old Aerostich Roadcrafter is hard to beat. Being a "onesy" it keeps heat from the lower body in, plus wind proof/waterproof, and crashes really well. Pretty impervious to berry vines thorns too when riding trails.

@@bujubra2594 it depends on how confident you are. The bike I rode before the 390 was a Yamaha virago 250 and the power difference was huge.
