I love relays. the easiest method to control home electrical appliances. easy to use. easy to wire. and using relays became easier and easier with CADIO.
In this video, we will build a simple unit with the ESP8266 and 6 relays, and 6 beautiful bulbs. and as usual.. we will not write any code at all!
Our circuit is too simple. We have the ESP8266. and a 6-channels relays module.
The relays module VCC is connected to 5 volts.
GND to GND.
The relays signal pins to GPIOs, 1, 13, 12, 14, 4, and 5.
All relays com pins are connected to the AC hot wire.
Every relay normally open pin is connected to a bulb.
The 6 bulbs second wires are connected to the AC neutral wire.
That's it!
Now, let's tell CADIO about our unit architecture.
With CADIO firmware installed on the ESP, the ESP has created a WIFI network to receive the info file.
From CADIO app, we open the configuration section, and connect the phone to the ESP WIFI network.
Now let's make our info file. our relays module is active-low, so we will set relays mode to active-low.
And in the devices table, we will add 6 ONOFF devices, and select the GPIOs we are using.
Then we send the info file to the ESP, all codes will be generated internally with AI.
Now the configuration page appears, we will enter our router WIFI network details, and a name for our unit.
After saving the configuration, the unit will connect to our router WIFI network, and connect to the internet, and appear in the application interface!
And now, our unit is ready to use!

Thank you for the video. I was able to connect my e s p thirty 22 the app but wanted to change the pin out. I thought I would have to reformat the unit and then put it into configuration mode. Now I can't get it into configuration mode.
Any help would be appreciated.

Nah anywhere in the world as it works on internet
There should be options of using it via BLE/Bluetooth classic on esp32 as it could come handy for those who uses mobile data or don't have a wifi connection .

Can we add one more esp. suppose i want to automate another set of lights situated far away from these set of lights wiring then with this esp and its gpio is costly so can we use another esp for them and merge both the esp devices to come in the app
You can add an unlimited number of units (ESPs) to the account and they will appear in CADIO app in the same Interface.
How can i connect manual switch for these lights/relays
In the info file devices table, you can select the switches GPIOs
Sir , it was not download in esp8266 it shows directly finish but my esp8266 is support 9666mh and flesher shows 11000mh
Make sure to activate the checkbox beside the firmware file path

You can! but in this case you will use GPIOs that (high at boot), and this is not the best experience when we talk about home appliances, so in this case we recommend using esp32 instead!
Can I set mini Arduino oled display for temp and humidity show?
Not supported yet!
Is it possible to run a servo motor using Cadio?
Unfortunately not natively supported yet

Esp8226 is working but esp 32 doesn't working after confrigation the device doesn't show on dashboard
Please check the flash download setting and make sure it's exactly as the photo in this link:

Also check the table in this link and make sure you are selecting safe GPIOs, so the esp can boot normally:

for the relay source, is it possible to use a USB cable? is G is neutral and Vcc is Positive?
Yes of course, just make sure you are using 5v coil relay/module.

Great platform can we use esp01 ?
We recommend use an ESP with at least 2MB flash size, ESP-01 will works, but we can't grante stability and performance, so we recommend using ESP-12 instead.
Hi sir, how to share configuration settings on cadio app to other devices? so that other devices do not need to set the configuration
After creating the info file, the app will ask you if you want to sava a copy of the info file on your phone, choose (yes) and enter the file name and it will be saved in (/downloads/cadio) folder.
Then you can use (import) option to import the info file for the other units.
How to import config to other units? does the new device have to be connected to the same wifi as the cadio device?

What is the wifi indicator LED status?

Make sure the esp connect to the router and not filtered

Is possible use a PCF8575?
To get more IOs, You can add an external MCU, like atmega328 for example, and using CadioSerial arduino library, you will be able to write your own code and communicate with the esp using the library API.

The esp is connected to the internet and you can control it from anywhere.
Only while configuring the esp you need to connect the smartphone to the esp wifi network.

Please give a tutorial on how to use esp32 and esp8266 with ardino serial, how does it work, what are the things needed, if you add esp32 16 relays, it becomes very slow and causes many problems, so you should take this approach. I would be very helpful if you should pretend to be a video

To add multiple units, just repeat what you did for the first unit for the second, third etc.. Everything will be automatically handled.
