Try SDR-console V3 and see what happens. More gain settings and better, more detailed waterfall etc... I prefer it compared to SDR# and HDSDR also, even with Airspy and SDRplay models. As said before, the waterfall is just magnificent and until now never has beaten by any SDR software. The problem with all SDR sticks is the limited dynamic range and high base noise floor. I own a number of them, but these are really useful for frugal and SDR reception beginners. It seems to me that it may be pointed out to beginners so, they are not disappointed early on. don't enable the "Tuner AGC" or "RTL AGC" boxes, because these modes saturated the RF Gain. best way is controlling the RF Gain manually.

Just ordered the V4 a couple of days ago. Want to see how it does on HF.
As soon as mine comes I will test it will do ok once you select HF withba long wire antenna .
