my dad and his best mate owned this dog before he died...and i totally agree he was definatley the fastest dog to run here...we own some of his sons out of like the first litters born to him and they were bloody fast aswell...Brett Lee died due to running into a fence and like snapping his neck...he will forever be in our memories love you boy
Just discovered that my dog is Brett Lee's great-grandaughter. Thought it was a big deal at first, then I realised how many of them there probably are.
A great dog for Oz but we had one here in Scotland called Ravage Again which was a bullet from the boxes and came within 1 race of breaking the great Ballyregan Bobs world record of consecutive wins.
He looks like a great greyhound, but it's highly unlikely that he's the fastest dog ever to grace the earth. If he could beat Westmead Hawk in a 2 dog race over 500 metres I would be impressed. If he could beat Ballyregan Bob in a match over 600 metres, I'd be even more impressed. But the greatest dog ever to grace the earth is called Scurlogue champ.
I am lucky to have one of Brett Lee's sons. If father is anything like son... He must be a character. My boy is very tall and broad I wonder if Brett Lee is the same and my best friend has one of Brett's granddaughters.
@getarslim Ravage Again was a flying machine over the sprint trip. He was not a bullet from the boxes however, he didn't break any faster than the rest but his early pace was awesome.
@tommart123 Under 29 seconds but what was the distance? I'd bet it was shorter than the 515m/563yds that 28.88 was over. The 28.88 track record still stands and any time under 30 seconds is still very very good for 515.
My Greyhound is an Ex-Florida race dog, He eats a lot and sleeps even more and he hasn't chased a thing since I've owned him. I have to wounder just how much money did people lose betting on him...Ha!
Well...I'm not Australian. If we can forgive me for that...I raced half/greyhound sled dogs for many years, and I've watched a lot of dogs gait. I have to say that Big Daddy Cool is the smoothest, fastest, quickest accellerating dog I have ever seen. All due respect to many other dogs....If I was to breed another Greyhound litter, He'd be it. The other ones seem to only run fast enough to win. BDC runs to go fast. Which he did.
I'm not targeting individual breeders who take care of their dogs. I'm sure they're out there. I am talking about the greyhound racing industry as a whole. I'm sure there are those individuals that are affiliated with rescue groups when they are 'through' with their hounds. What about those hounds that don't qualify, or lose? Please explain to me why there are so many greys destroyed each year? Enlighten me, please
@courtney Lockett , what are you on about? You never owned him? My dad brought him YEARS ago!! & he didn't die by running into a fence, my dad let him out into a different yard one morning & the dog next door was running up & down the fence so chukka (Brett lee) was running after him, but the grass was slippery & he slipped & did his shoulder you liar.
These times are very misleading..the turns aren’t nearly as sharp as they are in America. P’S Rambling would have smoked this dog. These tracks are basically made for straight away running rather than having sharp turns
Cruel? Watch the dogs AFTER the race, jumping up and down, playing with each other, playing with the leadouts, always seemed to me they just had a pretty good time.
Brett Lee was scintillating, one of the best greyhounds ever!
RIP Brett Lee. Without you we would never have met our handsome dog Kandy King.
my dad and his best mate owned this dog before he died...and i totally agree he was definatley the fastest dog to run here...we own some of his sons out of like the first litters born to him and they were bloody fast aswell...Brett Lee died due to running into a fence and like snapping his neck...he will forever be in our memories love you boy

My dad Keith pedrana owns him now :) sadly he passed on but we've still got him, easily the best dog ever. So beautiful & graceful.
Just discovered that my dog is Brett Lee's great-grandaughter. Thought it was a big deal at first, then I realised how many of them there probably are.
just had some pups from brett lee in the uk.. lets hope he is like his dad
Amazing hound - makes it look easy peasy. I own two of his (several thousand) offspring - retired now.
Guys no joke I actually have the son of this dog! I went to GAP and adopted him, sweet!
ok...
Love your enthusiasm, but this dog has sired hundreds of pups haha..
Is his name Tyrur mcguigan
My dog is daryanoor ain
He has many sons . Hundreds. You be better of having a daughter.
A great dog for Oz but we had one here in Scotland called Ravage Again which was a bullet from the boxes and came within 1 race of breaking the great Ballyregan Bobs world record of consecutive wins.
Brett Lee is also our dog's (Boglane Ivy) paternal grandfather!
My dog is exactly like Brett Lee,Brett Lee was his uncle and his father Sobbing Sal, who was Brett Lee brother!
Zoom Top was the best
Best sprinter i have seen. Second only behind Zoom Top of the all time best
Lets not forget the likes of flying amy tenthill doll spoken joe who broke the 30 secs 8 times in a row at wenty.
My maisies grandad is brett lee! My Maisie done pretty well racing. Raced till she was 4 and retired as she was too old
Westmead hawk greatest greyhound ever without question
Wouldn't of beaten Bob

yeah that is true , he was a great racer
my dog Splashanomic was his grandson.... Also a winner!
I am lucky to have one of Brett Lee's sons. If father is anything like son... He must be a character. My boy is very tall and broad I wonder if Brett Lee is the same and my best friend has one of Brett's granddaughters.
My Greyhound doesn't move from the couch
@getarslim Ravage Again was a flying machine over the sprint trip. He was not a bullet from the boxes however, he didn't break any faster than the rest but his early pace was awesome.
Speed is such a beautiful thing
Pretty good fast bowler as well

Young group
28.8 over 512m at Angle Park was unbelievable. The dog that run 2nd would've beaten most dogs in Australia.
Alguien que sepa en que año murio este perro
Greyhounds of the 60s 70s would have trouble beating him.
My Greyhound is an Ex-Florida race dog, He eats a lot and sleeps even more and he hasn't chased a thing since I've owned him. I have to wounder just how much money did people lose betting on him...Ha!
Hey, we just adopted his grand daughter from GAP!! Who knew!!!
haha he has tens of thousands of grand kids.
@amandapleasesp hey do you have the pups and if you are selling them how much for??
How he is moving, exactly like my JohnJohn, the racing name of him was John Cofey!
omg no way his great grandfather is my dog and he won the group 8 narrabeen cup at harold park in 1973 by 77 lengths
Lol
P's Rambling was the absolute fastest greyhound of all time.
Not in the same class.
is he still racing?where is the dog now??is he enjoying a wel earnt retirement??
64,2 km/h
A great stayer
He wasn't a stayer 😂
I loved Brett Lee but IMO Worth Doing a few lengths quicker than him. Watch the video of Worth Doing's 29.50 at Wenworth Park.

My nans brothers uncle had a son who owned the 2nd cousin removed of Brett Lees half sister, no word of a lie!
College Causeway was the best of them all
Here comes the causeway
Ningbow Jack was better
MrChocolateXMan I adopted one of his pups, called autumn whatulike, looks like him too,but sadly not as fast.
His Grandson : #Splashanomic is avail to view also
And Darren McDonald will never train again
@unkybrad The race was over 515m so you do the maths.
How did he do against Big Daddy Cool?
I'll bet on that leader running backwards and taunting the others.
Sounds like reading the comments that everyone owned him please.
brett lee is my dogs grandpa
YES INDEED. SCURLOGUE CHAMP CAN RACE WITH THE BEST CAUSE HE WAS THE BEST
haha the hound's named after the sexiest hottest person alive.. ;D brett lee!
I'm not targeting individual breeders who take care of their dogs. I'm sure they're out there. I am talking about the greyhound racing industry as a whole. @courtney Lockett , what are you on about? You never owned him? the truth is no one owned the real Brett lee those dogs u got are all look alikes so people pass it off as Brett lee but its just a look alike
Sendo Takeshi I mean, this version of events are the correct version of events. All I ask is, what’s your dads name?
Was also high as a kite every race
Premier fantasy was greatest fastest greyhound I've seen
hahahahahaha
If he were a pitbull dog the spca, peta, and the law would kill him. they have murdered some of the finest bulldogs in the world.
These times are very misleading..the turns aren’t nearly as sharp as they are in America. P’S Rambling would have smoked this dog. These tracks are basically made for straight away running rather than having sharp turns
Brett Lee was good...Miata is better
Una Malina de velocidad increible
Disgusting cruel sport that should be banned world wide. It is criminal abuse by greedy bastard's.
So what about thoroughbreds
thoroughbred what? what about thoroughbreds? Thoroughbreds?
Just as cruel. Too much money so not a word
Cruel? Watch the dogs AFTER the race, jumping up and down, playing with each other, playing with the leadouts, always seemed to me they just had a pretty good time.
Don’t be silly you fool
