- The UN'S cultural organisation has declared Rio de Janeiro's Valongo Wharf a world heritage site.
The port is where millions of African slaves arrived in Brazil to be bought and sold.
UNESCO is preserving evidence of what it called “one of the most brutal episodes in the history of humankind”.
