- Installing a WIDE STANCE Kit on a Versatile Track Tractor
In this video I am at Versatile Dealer Ziegler Cat in Wilma Minnesota as they are installing an optional WIDE STANCE kit that is available for all Versatile Delta Track Tractors. In the video I talk about the tractor and show the process of what's involved to install the kit. We also drive the tractor around the dealers lot. Hope to make it back when these tractors are running in the field. - Авто та транспорт
“and definitely the most “Versatile” content on social media today.” I see what you did there, and I like the cleverness of the plug for Versatile. Love your videos, keep up the good work!
Interesting watching the tear down and reassembly. Coming from an automotive parts assembly plant, although a whole lot smaller parts, cool to watch. Amazing amount of time going into the wide stance package going on. Yes, if it was mounted on at the factory would possibly be helpful but, it might also complicate shipping. Quite alot wider to haul. Never realized how close the tracks came to each other in a turn. Definitely would want solid steering stops in place. Great video. Here in east central Indiana mostly Deere products. Love to see it in action.
Black grill looks so good
It's taken me a while, but these tractors are really growing on me. They scream simple functionality to me with the Cummins motor, centralized fuel tanks and the draw bar being placed in the center. The black frames on the 22's are much more attractive to me, but the 21' is also good looking. Good lookin' units!
They say it takes 2 hours to replace a clutch in the field on a 800 Versatile. That's how simple they are and the reason these 40+ year old tractors are still doing the heavy work.
Good to see you again Mike good video
I really like the wider stance. Looks meaner. Thanks Mike for your time.😊👌🏻
Very informative video, thanks for sharing!
Thank you Big Mike. Love these tractors.
Really like the look of the wide stance. Thanks Mike for another great informative video. Enjoying your vids from sunny SoCal 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Awesome video thanks for sharing ❤️
Great video Mike. Very informative. 👍
Awesome tractor and very Versatile information.
The delta track looks great👍😉
Another great video Mike .
Nice video Mike, you keep the variety coming. Glad to hear several big Versatiles are being sold at that dealership.
Whoa! This is True America right here. Lucky Mike!
Great video.
Great video mike!
Great vídeo Mike.
Great video Mike. I hope it dryes up soon so the farmers can get there cro[p planted.
I like watching Mike less videos on UA-cam, from the imperial co California.
Great video! The tow cable is for pulling your neighbors out of the mud. 😄
To pull the green machines ;-)
Regardless of the brand, all those tracked machines look better with the wider stance. It really looks good on these Versatiles.
Great looking tractor, cost a pretty penny I’ll bet. Love the beard, she’s a “ripper”.Regards from Down Under.
Gee, I am only 90 miles away from there. Missed out on you again, like you were in Courtland MN last year. Didn't know that Versatile had that option. Makes sense to me to offer them.
I would love to see this pulling a six bottom plow.
You were just in my town
Hello Mike hope all is well.
Hi, Mike, thanks for your video! Could you help me? When this kit is installed, does it also replace the track rollers and idlers with wider ones?
That area that you busted the beaver dam in could you turn that into a pond?
i'll take 3 of them
So as a city boy - why do ya need wider stance than stock size? Also why doesn't the factory offer this option from the assembly line? Great videos, thanks.
Maybe more stability when driving hills sideways and if you want that track of tractor runs in different spot than tracks/wheels of equipment like graincart in this video to spread footprint wider area, just guessing 🤔
Thanks for great video, cool tractor 😎 Greetings from Finland 🇫🇮
Mud. These tractors are going to a very muddy part of Minnesota. The 3 meter kit will make it easier to clean out.
Wish they'd go back to the Destination 6 paint scheme
What is the price for that kit? i bet it is a lot easier to keep clean, it builds up a lot close to the frame.
Could the kit be installed on the front or the rear only? So the tracks wouldn't run in the same line? That would lessen the compaction even more.
I suppose if that’s what someone really wanted yes you could
I have two questions, are these the 30” tracks? Also, does the stance kit improve the ride quality?
Yes these are 30 inch wide tracks and not sure on the ride being better as I have not ran one with the wide stance kit in the field yet.
@farmhandmike my brother and I recently purchased a DT570 on our farm and we have been playing around with it and are kind of upset with how the inching pedal functions... Know of any updates that have been done to improve function at all? Thanks!
@olsem101 I left Versatile last June but do have lots of experience with this situation. For starters the first thing I would check (Dealer needs to use Cat ET). is the inching pedal duty cycle. This has to be set between 15-24% when the pedal is all the way up. This has an adjustment stop bolt under the gray plastic steering column cover. (5 screws to remove). I would set these at 18% generally. Depending on the hours of the tractor and if the transmission oil was changed the transmission may need to be calibrated again you will need Cat ET. Also these are alway worse when the transmission oil temperature is below 70 degrees Fahrenheit. I know they changed software at some point in these and I believe the dealer should have service bulletins on it but at one point they changed the software to fix an overload protection issue an in my opinion it hurt the shift quality. I believe the new software fixes this but again I don't work their anymore and don't know what they may have done since I left.
@@farmhandmike Thanks for the info Mike! I knew you didn't work for versatile anymore, but you seem very knowledgeable on these machines! I will have to talk to my dealer about all this, we use the tractor to pull tile plow so using that inching pedal for a smooth start is key. It seems like disengages good, then once you slowly let it back up nothing happens until you reach the very top, then the tractor lunges forward. It's basically a new machine with 250ish hours on the clock, 2021 model year.
does the set-out change the turning radius
Russ, I was driving the tractor in the video. I couldn’t tell the difference. We did not touch the steering stops. I’ll let you know if we ever measure it.
@@tomwolfe1061 ok thanks
Are those 36 inch tracks??
Are those 36 inch tracks ??…
30”
@@farmhandmike can you get 36inch with the r tensions??..thx
Why don't they install that at the factory if it's ordered with a wide stance? Save time and labor
Trucking would be an issue. Wider load increases the freight costs
What’s the reason?
