Most people who play casually will give Canas everything he could ever want, but you should probably consider that Luna only does as much damage as the user’s magic stat, and stats have caps.
Canas' wife is Nino's aunt, I believe. Nino mothered Lugh and Hugh. And Nino's aunt mothered Hugh. So Hugh is Nino's cousin. And Hugh is the second cousin of Lugh and Ray.
I always did wonder how Canas and Niime were able to escape insanity that most dark mages get afflicted with (like Canas's 3 brothers and Brammimond)? Did the game ever touch base on that?
not really; Canas supports do mention that people lose their minds to darkness if they are careless and let darkness fully engulf them, so, my guess is, canas and niime were more thoughtful about it than his brothers (pun intended)
I believe in Brammimond’s case, he had deliberately sacrificed his soul to dark magic so that he could gain the knowledge necessary to forge the weapons that would lead humans to win the Scouring.

There is quite a few of disturbing moments in this game. Klein, Fir, Hugh, Ray, Zeiss can be killed by the player while their surviving family members cannot complain at all since it is war and shit happens.

But anyways, Raigh and Lugh are only her great grandnephews, which isn’t that much of a relation, and it can be assumed that Niime, Canas, and Hugh are from a long line of shamans, and in Elibe, the type of magic you use is of a lot more importance. Niime is still being unreasonable and kind of stupid, but she does have her motives.

In Canas and Nino's support conversation: he recounts how she would treat him, her brothers, and his son with such frequent cruelty that it became normalized to him so he wound up minimizing and condoning her abuse of his own son until Nino had to tell him that it wasn't normal and needed to be stopped. I'd send her to hell.

Not only would it be a coincidence that her mother has the same name as Canas's sister in law, bit Hugh once met ray, as seen in this support.
You really think IS would just say “oh yeah, Nino’s mother and Canas’ sister in law have the same name, are both very skilled at anima magic, and both died at the same time, but that’s just a coincidence they aren’t actually the same person”
