Simply soooooper! Many thanks. As a proud Indian, it makes me feel elated to know that the future of our HAL is in the extremely capable hands of patriots! Please keep up the good work. God bless!
Fantastic episode by Anantha Krishnan ji. Hats off!! This is True ATMANIRBHAR! Demonstrates HAL's commendable cutting-edge-technology capabilities ... a long cry from the past.... and most importantly, vital projects / activities like these contribute substantially to catapulting India to the 'Developed Country' status. In addition to defence self-reliance, there is a huge-huge spinoff technology transfer benefits which can be used to address problems facing our citizenry across the country. This will also bring in large employment opportunities in private sector and economic prosperity.
It is so nice see two experts, discussing about HAL LCC, on the shop floor. This shows, India, has come a long way !!. Time to join the elite clubs of the world !! This is the best way to advertise, to the world !! All the best HAL. India is proud of you 👍 !!
Seeing this fly - poetry in motion. Hard won capability all around that is awe inspiring. All that's needed is an Indian engine to power every type & India crashes another club.
@Prranjal Shrivaastav! A very altitude helicopter needs to depend on an equally HA engine for its success, because it is the engine that makes the operation viable at about 5500 to 6000m above MSL.
I've seen the Navy ALH in AeroIndia ,one of the main rotor blades doesn't fold ,need to work otherwise only a handful of vessels will be able to carry it . And I don't know why you guys aren't mentioning salt water corrosion resistance in Navy ALH ,I think that's pretty important . And LUH , would've preffered bigger side doors with lock open for faster mounting and dismounting of troops and gear . Also like to see an LUH with a fixed door gun like the DRDO 7.62 mm belt fed machine gun .
Awesome Insight into the LCH !! The kind of content where U dont find anywhere else !!! Hats off to the Engineers and Pilots engaged in developing this Beast!! Hope it gets inducted asap!!
excellent work Mr. Anantha and congratulations on producing yet another fine video. Please keep doing the good work as such informative videos are elixir for desi defence enthusiasts.
Wonderful!!! Thank you very much Ananthakrishnan 😁 we should be proud of everything our scientists achieve and you are helping them to showcase their talent
That was an awesome talk.. Brilliant work Anand sir!! "The satisfaction of creating something" wow!! those are inspiring words from a great director. Only true engineers understand that feeling!! Unni sir!! you too deserve a great round of applause for your enormous contribution!!
Excellent discussion. However, you missed a great opportunity to place GoPro cameras on the aircraft inside and outside to capture the sortie and see LCH in flight
HCL research and development need large number of apprentices to provide future design, development and operations with strong back. Engineers and other staff need special incentives for all additional designs and operations improvement.
Impressive. Close to an hour very fruitfully spent in watching it. Very nicely done video and an awesome product from HAL. Hope the services order it in larger numbers than the 162 talked about.
At last HAL made an attack helicopter which can compete with the various western made attack helicopters. Proud of u HAL . Best of luck in your upcoming projects. And this video is also good . Thank u.
👨✈️HATS OFF 👨✈️ to Design Bureau of HAL and our Test Pilots for their achievements 👏👏 As a military Pilot it is motivating to see this happening in our country, for our operations ... for our enemy to be aware of and also to cheer up the civil industry and motivate them to produce international PLUS standard "☀️Made in India☀️"
I think when it comes to comparing with WZ-10, we are still far behind....but yes we've filled a gap to some extent in our forces. Keep up the good work HAL.
Nope Caic WZ10 hasn't been yet tested with it's optimum capacity at such heights operational ranges compared to WZ10 LCH lags a little behind ; compared to speeds at it's full capacity WZ10 achieves a full speed of 270km/hr But hasn't been tested at higher altitudes where LCH has been already tested ; the HD 10 missile on WZ10 has lower range in comparison to Sant missiles(tested from Rudra ; Mi 35 & LCH) ; The PL 9 AAM is of 22Km where as Mistral is of 9km but the upcoming Astra IR will have 30-40km so a clear advantage over PL series ; where as the higher PL variants are heavier & the Astra IR will be light equivalent to Mistral weight besides that LCH uses better throughput engines that the WZ10 ; Rate of Climb even at higher altitudes and Maneuveribility of LCH is also better than WZ10 ; besides that LCH's crossectional area & height if compared to WZ10 is smaller ; so LCH has a clear upper hand to evade higher amount of Radar Signatures ; besides WZ 10s Bushmaster Chaingun has lower performance & lesser hydraulics than LCHs M621 cannon If asked I would give the Harbin Z 9 a better position
Radar absorbent paint makes aircraft maintenance intensive. The only kind of RAM that works well is the kind on the F-35 which is cured into the skin of the aircraft.
India already developed RADAR ABSORBANT PAINT IN 2019..RAM.STITCH OR SMART MATERIAL WHICH KIND OF REPAIRS ITSELF PLUS IS DEVELOPED....ALREADY UNDERGOING TESTING .....
Question: Can we make this unmanned? If we can, this will be a capability that can be game changing. For the unmanned version, we dont need the armour. We can only focus on stealth and arming it. We should also scale up the production, regardless of it being manned or unmanned. Our armed forces should not hesitate to order these in large numbers. Brilliant episode and interviews.
Sir you are the only person who always brings out the truth of indigenous aircraft programmes . But most of the journalists in india try to dismantle indigenous aircraft programmes to make way for foreign vendors. For instance the LCA always encounters criticism despite a wonderful fighting machine ( it is evident in recently concluded vayu sakti exercise) . We are waiting for more such videos.
This HAL LCC, looks like a Temple of knowledge of Indian, defense equipment experts!! Bhagwan is Krupa se, LCC will give good service to all Armies, across the world, who uses this LCC.
Sad to say that this video almost two year old and came to my recommendation again .But still LCH is not inducted in service. This shows although our scientists are capable of made world class weponary but our system and policy not cooperate them and pushing them back foot.
Really informative, thank you Tarmak Next time would like to know more about the capabilities of various weapons integrated i.e. how much is the range and accuracy of the air to air missiles, how much ammunition the 70 mm rockets carry and what kind of damage it can do etc
Love to hear this, please do the fast production(5000 units) of this hunk so that every troop of india have air support with them at ground level this also help if any causality.
It will be like comparing apples to mangoes. Ah64 can't go at High altitudes but lch can but ah64 carries more armament on the other hand lch carries less. In short both have been built with different philosophy so yes it can be compared with ah1 at most BTW ah1 is used by our thy neighbour
The upward launching angle for weapons seems like it could potentially be a problem under certain conditions. If the blades are flexing downward during maneuvers they might get close to the weapon path. Straight forward launch seems like it would have a larger margin of safety. This might be adequately safe as is but perhaps a narrower margin than ideal. The benefit of an upward launch angle is slightly increased weapon range but I am not sure if it is worth it in this case.
The more we discourage our homegrown industries the more we are discourage ourself.. it is not that straightforward like to buy a bread from market... with short term planning of Indian politicians to funding issues... and don't forget the arms lobby which has always disregarded DRDO and HAL for their interests. we are happy on this success of HAL and hope they do good and make us proud and self sustained...
Next a Heavy Gunship, then a Twin Tilt Rotor (equivalent to V-280 Valor) & a Quad Tilt Rotor. Simultaneously a future utility helicopter, something like SB-1 Defiant.
The operating conditions for both Apache and lch are different. Where our armed forces are planning to deploy the LCH, it is better to make it light combat so that it can perform at the higher altitude. Making it a medium combat will simply mean the compromise on its operating height capability.
This was given serious consideration but rejected. Apache fills this need immediately without waiting on development and at a higher capability level than was thought feasible with domestic industry for the near term future. The need for such a helicopter is considered urgent and thus waiting for a less capable aircraft than Apache was deemed unacceptable. Instead, focus is on improving LCH and developing industry and expertise for now while supporting both LCH and Apache. AH-64E is the most capable attack helicopter in the world and this took many years and a lot of resources to develop. LCH is a good complement to it for high altitude areas.
I hope that HAL and Indian Security forces think about developing in additional hardpoints on Wing tips to carry Close Combat Missiles(CCMs) as the threat from drones is becoming eminent.
Just thinking how much performance will be increased on all platforms of hal rudra, dhruv, lch ,luh 1400hp french engine will be replaced by indian hal htse-1200 which makes 1600hp, 😁
This is the zillionth I am asking can the LCH fly fully inverted as it may not be an operational requirement but it is a robust feature of an combat helicopter. Infact some bigger utlity choppers bigger than LCH have been proved to fly fully inverted.
Masha Allah.... Thank you HAL team....hope we make things get world's best and could export our capabilities....
I guess it is kind of randomly asking but do anyone know of a good site to stream newly released series online?

Proud of HAL.
HAL is an incompetent Organisation tbh.
Proud of you
Arup Sir.
I am a govt servent but I too feel satisfaction whenever I perform my work efficiently.
53.09 sec such a beautiful LCH flying .....Even it looks more beautiful than Apache

As always excellent & very informative video.
Its so nice to see such positivity in India 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

After long, I got to see a well conducted interview and an interviewer with some meat, honesty and patience.
This is what waited 4 so long. Now
Dream come true in reality.
Make it 200 % indigenous.

Apache and Chinook's are coming. HAL need to ensure to incorporate all learnings from these advanced and reliable assets into our systems.
HCL research and development need large number of apprentices to provide future design, development and operations with strong back. Engineers and other staff need special incentives for all additional designs and operations improvement.
Each brigade headquarters along LC should have 1 or 2 LCH at the disposal of the brigade commander.

@@NickyBaBa1987 yup this was the first video in which i got to know how the things are actually being done inside of hal

Only the maximum use of composites, radar absorbent paint and impenetrable kevlar for short range rockets can make lch world class
