Was playing in a game recently and the charismatic player was playing a low-Cha Noble and decided her issue was that she was accidentally condescending to *everyone* and the player made it very funny.

That’s hilarious 😂 and definitely a great way to approach it with that background!

Our arenagroup has an all low charisma party which is kinda hilarious since we are meant to be gladiators in a spectator sport, we are weirdos that started in fighting pits fighting for our lives we dont know how to appear to a crowd.
My ranger would qualify as a blabbermouth, or rather antagonising blabbermouth, often saying just the wrong thing to get somebody mad at the team and boom were suddenly booked for a match.

Bahahaha I love the archetype of “antagonizing blabbermouth” - I bet that game is a blast to play in!

@@StephaniePlaysGames it surely is thank you. I have a bit more of a preference for heavily themed games like this rather than the typical ragtag group traveling around on a heroic quest.
Have you played something similar or thought about covering the topic of themed campaigns or groups?

    High Wisdom, low Charisma:
The Sycophant: This character's sense of identity and force of personality are weak. They are, however, very perceptive. Thus, they know what those around them expect and are eager to comply. They are so agreeable that they sometimes seem to obey orders before they are given.

Oh man! I love this concept, this would be a ton of fun, especially in a grimdark campaign!

I think a lot of perception of charisma is definitely subjective! In this case I thought of things like Elle in Legally Blonde, Jackie in that 70s show, Cordelia in Buffy, etc. and how people get annoyed when they speak, make other negative assumptions about them based on the way they talk, etc. This was also inspired by the fact that I’ve built characters like this that were mechanically high in charisma, but some DMs have still given them disadvantage at CHA related checks or auto failed them 😂 Like I said though, I think it’s totally subjective!
