@@thatdankhusbando3144I agree that DS4 adapter is the best way to play the game since Project Diva has the natural feel for PS4 controller. However, not all Nintendo controllers are wack. Yes, some stuff are harder or more annoying to execute on Nintendo controllers, but it is possible to be up to par with DS4 controller. Why would I say that? I am mostly a Pro Controller player, and I started Project Diva 8 months ago, which is also my first introduction as a new time Vocaloid fan, and my hardest difficulty is 9.5 on both Extreme and Extra Extreme. For example, lightning fast spam (like Betty the Liar Ex Ex spam or Mousou Sketch Ex Ex spam), and really fast and long 270’s or 360’s (Grumpy Waltz Ex Ex, Intense Voice both difficulties, Negaposi*Continues Extreme). Some stuff are more annoying to do on Pro Controller but are possible, like long strings of multi note patterns (Ex: I perfected Leia Ex Ex with NS Pro, and is one of my proudest accomplishments, and I also perfected How’d It Get to Be Like This on Extreme.) or small lightning spam sections (Mousou Sketch Extreme and Bring It On Extreme). Also in my opinion, there are some songs in which it is almost required to use JoyCon grip than Pro Controller due to high technical demands some charts have. For example, some 10 star charts that I think are almost possible to do on NS Pro could be songs like Sadistic Music Factory or even songs like World’s End Dancehall Ex Ex. However, once you start moving into Intense Voice territory and above, you practically have to be an accuracy machine in order to perfect them on Pro Controller. And while the buttons are smaller on JoyCon grip and the macros are a little different of feel, I feel it is more possible to perfect the charts on JoyCon grip than on NS Pro. And while many don’t recommend to wear and tear your JoyCons for Project Diva, I think that JoyCon grip controller is undoubtedly the best Nintendo controller to use for this game and is almost up to par with the DS4. @@hisokeee aaaa i didn't actually expect a reply lol so thank you so much!! and keep up the great content too :)
What about Switch Mini?
After playing so much on Vita, I gonna use it a lot on my Switch Mini, then maybe it would be nice despite the Dpad buttons
I saw the dpad, its a cross like the pro controller, so it may not be the best but I do not have one so I cannot give you sure answer. At the least you can connect any controller to it so if it turns out to suck, you have backup plan
@@hisokeee yeah, that was the idea if I feel so horrible the Mini experience. Also thanks for the answer, I didn't know it was the same dpad as the pro controller.
Btw Hiso, did you know about the new Arcade pannel to Mega 39's? It's pretty sick. I saw it on a channel called NihongoGamer if you didn't know about it.
You can put ypur ps4 controller on switch ??? How ????
As he said in the video you buy a adapter. If you rewatch when he was doing the PS4 controller test it shows the adapter not the controller before he started the test
What does DS4 mean? You said adapter + ds4 controller, and I’m not sure what that means. Is that a specific controller or just any PS4 controller?
I fucking facepalmed after looking it up. Ds means DualShock. Sorry, I don’t own any PlayStation stuff so I had small brain idiot moment
Yeah its ps4 controlle:p
hisokeee I had bought the 8Bitdo switch adapter a few days ago on amazon. Should I return that and buy the adapter you recommended? I saw the one you showed has a USB port on it
Yeah one other person told me he hated the delay and wished it had USB, the one I used I just plug in by USB so very minimal delay
hisokeee yea the 8bitdo has got probably between a quarter and half a second of delay. It’s pretty not cool lol. If I used the one you recommended and with usb, do I still need to do the minus 5 on the delay with Mega Mix?
Play with joy with drift and hell
I'm gonna buy a pro controller, but that's the best option/controller? I still don't knowing what's the best controller for Project Diva Mega39
if you have ps4 controller thats the best, I would buy the adapter I showed in my review + ds4 to play this game seriously
@@hisokeee Okai thanks!
0:48 you're Canadian too????
Yeaaa vancouver
I have a PS4 controller with 8bitdo. Is it good enough?
the only downside I have heard with that adapter is it is bluetooth only, and compared to the one I have it allows usb option. As long you are not playing too far from the switch and you don't notice too much of a delay you should be good. I've had different opinions on it people complaining it drops inputs or adds too much delay to play seriously and other people saying its been fine for them
So you can play with a DS4controller on NSW , but you need an adapter......
You can indeed! That’s what I’ve been using since SWSH was released and it’s a godsend for rhythm games and shooters like Splatoon.
project diva god
joy cons are the best because you cant play mix mode without them!!!
Hum so bassically all nintendo alternatives are crap because i'm new one the salon console I only played psp vita and 3ds ones and i want to get used to the R and L triggers but the grip on the pro and the joycons are so bad i'm really starting to think that i should by a PS4 adaptator to play decently and be able to use the L and R triger because the nintendo controller are bad to use L2 R2 in the same time as the pad button..
The only problem is dpad so u can use joy cons bud
(I use keyboard lol)
Bruhhh imagine how hard four controller co-op is XDDD I kinda wanna try it now
😳
Try a steam controller
Heh DS4 controller XD
Pro controller so ugly omg
An adapter? Filthy cheater.
Me the entire time he's using the hori pro controller:
TAKE THE DPAD COVER OFF TAKE THE DPAD COVER OFF TAKE THE DPAD COVER OFF
WAIT WHAT YOU CAN DO THAT HOW
@@AbiasO3 you just pull it up lol, its like a circle and then you can stick it on the back. and then if you wanna use it again you just take it off the back and put it on the dpad again
9:00 "look at how easy this is"
i must be blind or something, but nothing looks easy
*8:50
I just use a bluetooth adapter to play with my ps4 controllers. 20$ on amazon
I tried playing PPD With the Nintendo switch Pro Controller, it worked pretty fine for me, just had to get adjusted to things and i'm good to go, also I think the d-pad thing on the switch Pro Controller is pretty good and it's really amazing definitely not awful, but maybe could have been adjusted a little better so playing Project Diva on it would be may be a bit easier to probably get adjusted to for those people this time around. But maybe aside from that of course the D-pad thing on the switch Pro Controller is still pretty good and it's still really amazing. :)
(I pretty much like to see someone reply on this comment this time around just see if they actually think about their opinions with using their controllers and stuff, signed~ ATJF.)
omg now we can do hand + feet lmao
Holy crap i didnt know you could play with one joycon and the procontroller! The d-pad is really hard to use :(
Dual wield arcade sticks when?
i got a super cheap pro controller off of wish, it looks and feels almost the exact same it just doesnt have nfc or hd rumble but its like 20$ i think
I often missed or wrong when playing with Pro Controller, the D-pad is garbage at best. Switch to DS4 with 8bitdo is fine for me.
14:05 oh no 🤣🤣 that would actually make a good idea for a video just use one side of both
The dissapearence of Hatsune miku looks difficult not exited to try that
I have a pro controller but I bought a knock off pro controller for $30 that has a better D-pad than the actual the pro controller
you know the D-pad on that Hori controller can be removed to reveal four separate buttons, right?
I do now lol, I updated my pinned comment about that
thanks for making this video
The switch pro controller d pad is...awful like I dont like it. It's just yuck. It's a great controller but just god damn d pad had to ruin it.
Yo what the FUCK is wrong with IVOHM's extreme chart
Did you try popping the d-pad off of the horipad? There's d-buttons underneath like on the Joycons
