If y'all had time, I would love to see y'all do a survival world with trains but that's a lot of grinding and I don't think there's a survival map with the modded rails added.
@@zachtalongamesyt9981 I did see that but it's a stream series, (Which definitely makes sense for how much grinding SM demands of you), but I'm generally not interested in streams. Also he's making his own rails which I don't foresee SM handling well.
I think a good idea for a newbie-pro series would be the Newbie coming up with an idea of something they want to build, and Pro can walk them through figuring out how to build it, offering different options and newbie gets to pick which one to try.
Hey hyce, I was looking for copies of little engines and big men to read during "seat inspections" at work, but there seems to be a single copy being shared by my entire town of 3million people. So I am not holding out hopes of getting my hands on it. If you could read some of the stories out of it for us I would certainly enjoy listening to it.
In your free time, start a single player world and experiment building cars and contraptions to get used to the game, also recommended reading the handbook

Onions do have a lot of sugar, that's why they make you cry when you cut them. Sugar is rather energy dense (not remotely as much as coal but still). Fun Fact sugar beets have roughly the same energy density as lignite coal (brown coal).

You need to check out stormworks, so many people make very detailed locomotives and it would be cool to see you react to their builds with stormworks blocks and whatnot
I love how kAN doesn't bother telling you that certain aspects of this game rely on the fact that it IS a GAME, and that collisions aren't always a thing, even in such a physics-heavy "simulation" type of game.
Hyce, I would love to see you tackle steam trains in Stormworks. I feel like you would have a lot of fun with that, and you'd probably be the first youtuber to get the mechanics right (although stormworks isn't quite 100% accurate itself)

What I would do to work on restoring and maintaining a steam locomotive myself… tried for years to find a way to work on the locomotives at Black Hills Central, but they wouldn’t even give me time of day. Ok, the tracks in Scrap Mechanic are accurate to what you'd get if you scaled up Code 322 45mm gauge track to standard gauge.

The best train I can thing of in this game would be an overhead mono/ bi rail, with above and below the track(s).
