Thank you for sharing! I was induced with my now 13-year-old daughter. I feel like I lucked out after hearing your experience. was already dilated to a 3 when I got there at 6am and had her at 12:15pm that day. I am being induced next week with my second baby girl, plan to get the epidural like I did last time.
Thank you for sharing your experience and being so transparent about it. I'm about to be induced in a few days unless my baby decides to come before then. I've been watching all sorts of personal experiences, and most all have been 100 positive, almost fairytale like experiences, lol. I've been looking for more diversity in scenarios that can happen. Thank you.
I can so relate to your experience! I was induced and had epidurals with the first two and the experiences were so overwhelming, I was bound and determined to have the 3rd all natural! I did and it is such a difference! He is absolutely beautiful! I appreciate you sharing and being so real. 💕
Ah! I bet! I don't know how people have babies without an epidural. By 5cm I was in quite a bit of pain. Momma's who have babies all natural are superheroes and amaze me!
sorry to be off topic but does anybody know a way to log back into an instagram account?? I somehow forgot my account password. I would appreciate any assistance you can offer me
I had three kids all natural and that was excruciatingly painful, after the second I vowed never again, anyway I accidentally got pregnant and asked for epi but he was coming out from me before the epi guy got there 🙄 with my fourth I was induced as was with third, anyway I asked for epi straight up before contractions were painful and holy crap what a difference I didn’t feel a damn thing the entire labour and delivery I loved it!! I only pressed the button like three times the entire time as I didn’t want to over do it, plus after pressing a couple of times continuously because I panicked as they told me to start pushing, I began to feel nauseous so I didn’t press it again, I wanted just enough so I wouldn’t feel anything and I tried to keep it at that same level and it was fine. I’m Not having anymore but if I were epi straight up for sure!!
My baby was taken to the nursery 😢but i kept walking to go breastfeed him! He was there for 1 day to monitor his jaundice. Then i got him on the 3rd day. The whole time til the end, no sleep. People were still in & out for me after my baby's arrival. But im grateful for it all. They helped me keep waking up so that pushed me to keep up my breast-feeding which i did for 5 years! Thanks for sharing your birth story! Wow! Amazing!
Your experience sounded very similar to mine. Forget rest, forget privacy during labor. But by then the pain from contractions hurts so bad you don't even give a crap. How about when they're doing the epidural and they tell you to sit perfectly still and not move yet you're having these huge contractions and it's sooo hard to sit still. omg. Fun time but so worth it in the end!
Kristen P oh thats the worst. Like how am I supposed to stay still when it feels like a knife is being jabbed into my abdomen 😆😩but definitely worth it in the end!
Love listening to your birth story! And baby Knox is the cutest 💗😍I work in labor and delivery. I just wanted to say that it’s a standard rule for everyone to step out during an epidural. Idk if you saw that needle for the epidural but I’ve had daddy’s and family members literally freak out when they watch the epidural process or worse pass out and it’s very distracting for the anesthesiologist putting a very large needle in your back. So there’s that 🙈
Catheters hurt! I know all too well. I have neurogenic bladder which causes inability to pee on my own. I had a foley in the pee tube lol for like three months and I had them put in a Supra pubic tunic tube which is a surgical hole in the abdomen to place the catheter through. The changes of the tube hurt more but the comfort level overall is better. No more constant pinching in the girl region.
What was different from your first time to this second time ? Did you get the epidural the first time too ? was it a bit more difficult this time than the first time ?
With my 1st son I was induced but they used the balloon to induce me. That wasn't fun! I got the epidural with my 1st son as well. I'd say it was easier with my 1st than it was this time around!
On my first child right b4 pushing the drs stretching me side to side and up to dwn. Stretching. I was like ouch that hurts. Dr says u shouldn't feel that. I said well I do. Then they told me to give a couple practice pushes. So I did. Dr had turned around to grab scissors to do episiotomy. When dr turned around after giving me a shot n area(which I felt) , she was unable to do episiotomy bc the baby's head was alrdy down birth canal. Thank god!! I would've felt that too. I was n labor over 24 hrs w first baby. Epidural was running out.
On my 3rd child when I was getting epidural, the thin needle going dwn spine was tickling me. Drs yelling to stay still. I said I cant ur tickling my spine. After that he numbed me more and was able to finish. When they took it out a day or two ltr, it looked like an s shape. Totally not normal. Had epidural n longer bc they were gonna try to squeeze me n to do a tubal . Which didnt happen.. so I told them to come n take it out then. I was afraid to move around to much..
We’re you induced after 40 weeks cus you were overdue or something? Or before 40 weeks?.. My doc wants to induce me at 39 weeks & just wondering if that’s unusual (I know I would be considered full term anyways at 39 weeks).. Anyways, Congrats on your sweet bundle of joy!! 💙
I was 40 weeks and 3 days and my cervix wasn't effaced/dilated. My doctor gave me the option to be induced or to wait and see if anything happens. My doctor doesn't let her patients go past 41 weeks, so instead of waiting and being miserable, I just chose to be induced. I didn't want to get to 41 weeks and then still have to be induced. There was also a wait to be induced at the hospital I was going to, so I needed to schedule my inducement asap! Wishing you a happy and safe delivery!!
I tried falling asleep when I was in labor an I just couldn’t I was so eager and so excited and anxious sleeping wasn’t an option plus ppl coming in an out , how does anyone sleep knowing there gonna have a baby soon lmao
Awwwww hes so cute congrats to you and your husband. And ouch about the stitching you up. You are right that epidural hurt so bad and you can never sleep at a hospital. I had to have two epidurals a saddle block and then they had to knock me out cold so I could have a C-section I went in early morning had her in the middle of the night around 2 something in the morning and I think I went in at 8:30 in the morning I was in a lot of pain but I did have a baby girl. Things sure have changed from 20 years ago
They let me unplug myself to go to the bathroom and just plug myself back in. Didn’t give me a yoga ball like I asked 3x and they hardly ever checked in on me once I was in what felt like the grips of death! I begged for epidural and they forced me to wait and the baby was crowning without anyone there! They were so unprepared it was a joke! I don’t know if they took advantage of me and felt like they could get away with being lazy because I’m a young first time mom.
Yeah you really don't care how you look during labour 😂 i was in and out of the shower throughout the whole thing. Almost had my daughter in the shower and I didn't even know she was already crowning lol
The hospital I delivered at had my husband leave for the epidural too. I think it’s because it’s a huge ass needle being shoved into your spine and it might make some men faint lol And omg, you have to let go of every piece of dignity when your having a baby, right!? 😂
laineymariebeauty I made the mistake of watching UA-cam videos on epidurals before I had my first child. 😳😰 so when I had my daughter I was certain I wouldn’t have one, until I felt the contractions lol
It’s such a joke they tell you to get sleep with nurses coming in every like 15 min it seems. Unless of course you’re a deep heavy sleeper. I’ve had 4 babies and that is the worst part not being able to sleep 😅

Strongest momma ever! Just watched this when I got home from work. Made me relive the whole thing!!
Arras10 😆ugh don’t want to relive that for awhile!!!

Jenna Woodard Ah! That makes sense then. Lol. I made sure not to look at any of the needles for that very reason! And I’m glad I didn’t!
You were going through that hell same time as me honey 🥹🥹🥹🥹 I know, I know. Xx btw you and your lil babes are sooo beautiful ❤
You're so frickin pretty!!😍
Awe thank you :)

Dani all the dignity 😆😆😆and that makes sense about the needle. I never looked to see how big it was because I just don’t need to know Lol

Has big brother met the baby ?
Cesia Esparza obviously
Savannaha I asked because she said he was with his dad. And how do you know if the dads lives where they lived before they moved ?
You definitely lose all modesty during labor 😂.
Rockchalkvegan that’s true 😆🙌🏻
R u planning on having more children
I'm not opposed to 1 more :)
