Dan, Good review. You confirmed my suspicions about this game. I think that also a major distinction between this and Escape are the simultaneous rolling in Escape, whereas, Zombie 15 is more of "hot potato." Why that makes a difference, I'm not sure, but there seems to be something a little more streamlined and refined about Escape than with Zombie 15.
This reminded me of Zombicide except for time limit, cd and horde feature
Looks pretty good, although those blades at the start aren't machetes, they're called khukuri.
Got this game for $25 at a sale. Hoping it's worth that at least. Haven't had a chance to play it.
Why not add a dice element to this game to tailor it to your taste? Thanks for the review. I will get this game. My students love zombies!

15 min version of "ESCAPE The Curse of the Temple" with zombies. Nice components. Not impressive gameplay because the gameplay is obvious and the same.
This is pretty linear and all tiles are visible from the start. I think Escape: Zombie City is more comparable. Well, it's almost the same game as original Escape :)
The sound effects here are so obnoxious and louder than the guy talking....
