So in this video, I'm going to try out the hero who recently got a revamp in official server...
And this one's Minsitthar.

It's not just that his ult doesn't allow dash, it also slows mvmt spd and it's very difficult to get away from especially with his pull amd stun. He counters meta picks like melissa, joy, martis, etc so yes he's worth banning
Its pretty small tho and i dont notice the slow effect at all, i think you meant his 2nd skill adds slow effect

How to solve the slow? Sprint but the thing i hate is that if the minshi is good he can pull u back again into his ulti that's annoying
He does not counter Martis with his ult

He can one shot a late game marksman and mage.
He can tank like a tank.
He can go 1V1 against the enemy hyper.
He can neutralize dashes and high mobility heroes.
He can clear tank's HP in a blink of an eye.
His ultimate provides a good battleground for his teammates.
He has a passive that can provide *DOUBLE* stuns.
He can even hook like Franco but the hooks are way better than Franco's.
His 2nd skill provides dmg reduction.
But, Elgin says Minsitther should not be banned in rank games.

Minsithar has a unique ulti that makes the opponents unable to dash or escape, and his 2nd skill is like really overpowered

@raynaldo arlen k.eman I would usually use my ult, then petrify, then 2nd skill, and use 1st skill if he has a chance of escaping. So similar to a kadita playstyle just like what elgin describes.

We're literally in a meta where tanks and mobility is superior, Minsitthar being a possible tank and hp based dmg and countering high mobility heroes

his dmg output is not the cause for his frequent bans like your build in this video.
it's about his ability to suppress anyone and anything in a teamfight
technically his build doesnt really need the DHS, it only causes him to deal more dmg rapidly in his aoe. what he really needed is the scythe as it slows down enemies he hit, add any tanking items and a good grasp of the team fight and your team will have a good chance of winning said teamfight.
Yeah those idiots who build him glass cannon and die before he can even ult are the problem.
That's why I prefer to ban him than see a glass cannon fighter on my team.
Minsithar's royal guards also apply the basic attack effects, this includes the 9% of the demon slayer's current life but also the slowdown and the 80 bonus damage of the corrosive scythe.
The extra damage of the items is reduced to about 25% of the original damage to balance it out, but if it is in the center it takes the attacks of the 4 guards so it takes the original damage from the item, Minsithar's 2nd skill is also considered a basic attack (and works against towers) so it applies DHS and scythe in a massive way.
That's why I think these 2 objects are essential if you want to deal high damage.

Yes Elgin, it's just you, it's mostly a nightmare when you face one even if it's not a situational pick, because of the 2nd skill, and you can't really escape when you're in his domain
@Elgin the ulti has 2 other effects, one being that it can also activate other item effects if I remember correctly much like his 2nd skill's normal attack. But it also activates his passive which means you will get stunned inside even if Minsi doesn't hit you. Minsi is like a more flexible and group oriented Lapu and can be a pain if partnered with the correct heroes and team mate, and even if not his still a force to be reckoned with if you let him snowball. Hence his banned A LOT.
His hook is the game changer. It's like Ruby's ultimate but rectangular or Alpha's ultimate but backwards.
The healing from its passive is the most annoying. When about to kill him he stuns heals and run away .
As a Minsitthar Main, i can confim that we barely get to use our main

@@YukanV you can easily counter phoveus with the attack speed build (demon hunter sword, corrosion scyte,golden staff,sea halberd, windchant/windtalker (optional depends on the enemy) and athena/radiant armor (also depends with the enemy)
wait no no u are wrong...wanwan is the ideal mm for him. Its got so many perks.
1. As long as u can weave around his aim and immune cc at perfect moment he cant bring u into his ult.
2. He gets confident nd comes close to catch u giving easy ult
3. He knows he is ur counter so he will focus u and ur teammates will have a much easier time.
When u know how to use minshitar and wanwan its so fun jst making a fool out of him. Ofc if he like frnco jst flickers into ur range nd ults u are fked but that can happen to any mm and most minshi use petrify or vengeance.
I remember when they haven't revamped minsi. He's my go-to roam and I always wondered why nobody plays him. His hook is easier to maneuver than Franco's and his 2nd helps me survive. But then again, I'm not mythic or whatever. 😆

i used to play minsi too but not anymore because the ult duration was shortened a lot. i like the hook and passive changes but the 2nd skill not so much. i prefer the old shield bash over the spartan shield and stab.
Elgin forgot to mention that his skill 2 and ultimate damage now includes attack effects.
He was an auto ban when using tank is because of this reasons:
1. Extremely hard to deal with - considering of the fact Minsi regenerates with passive, getting crowded won't be too much of a problem, and as a tank, this would be more terrible to deal with
2. Anti dash - Minsitthar counters the dash meta, Arlott and Joy at mythic ranks are the most banned things in high rank but since Minsi counters this, he would be hell of an interruption, especially to the fact most heros are dash dependent, flicker would be completely useless as an escape against Minsi
3. Simply better than most tanks in terms of set - unlike Franco who can only focus in a single enemy at a time after pulling them, Minsitthar can simply do things better, bigger hook, can pull multiple enemies, and he can lock enemies with ulti, Minsitthar is basically Franco on steroids especially to quite fast cooldowns, Franco is already a menace with a good user, let alone Minsitthar who is way easier and better skill effects
4. Multiple roles - he can not just tank, he can also damage, heroes that are capable of doing multiple roles are often the favorite in ban list
5. Early to late game capabilities - he is fully capable of doing destruction to formations and can intimidate really well due to his team fight capabilities, he would be a completely unwanted enemy
These are some of the reasons of him getting auto banned
He's often banned because an overwhelming amount of meta heroes have mobility
His ult is a Middle finger to most mm whiche have dash

Funny how he went from one of the most banned heroes to now being almost never banned and if anything his skills are easier to use now since they made it so he can use skills when drawing his spear
When the meta is FILLED with dash heroes and more usually using flicker to escape or engage. Minsi’s kit is DEVASTATION for them, Phoveus is just a lower tier below minsi, one good ult on the enemy’s core for example melissa or martis jungle, he can really turn the tides. Corrosion Scythe is his ABSOLUTE CORE item.. you’ll be stunned, slowed, and can’t even dash away.. i can tell that the mains of heroes that uses a lot of dashes(like me with ruby) will hate to face him so banning him is the only option other than you or ur ally picking minsi. I mean to be fair, he was forgotten EVER SINCE his release, so this is quite deserving for him xD
You know the hero's scary when Isoya the Ruby man is scared of him
I think heroes whose mobility rely on speeding up (Like Esmeralda) have little to no problem in dealing with him. It's only the heavy cc that's annoying if u using these heroes

minsi doesnt just counter the meta but is also pretty strong even without countering meta. Bennyqt already showcased Minsi in high level competition.

I am a tigreal main. And Minsithar is a menace in the battlefield. I couldn't make great sets whenever Minsithar is around. I couldn't get away.
this is actually all just an elaborate plan so elgin can freely pick minsitthar in ranked
The ult and passive with skill 2 combo makes his enemy team panic all trying to evade the stun
its might a small revamp but high cc ability and wide aoe skill make it become a worst enemy for high mobility hero or hero with no skill to blink.
also his ultimate will not allow some hero for using ultimate make enemy have low chance to survive team fight.
make it worst his 1st skill can catch multiple hero in such distance. hero who type need to get close to team like estes will easily been catch together with his team
People are scared of being skewered when all you gotta do is not walk in straight line.
Atleast for me, yes my main heroes revolves around dashing heroes, I can play all role but man having no dash is a massive change in my gameplay and hero pools. Ofcourse there are heroes who doesn't need dash with high mobility but man it's annoying that he also stuns, slows you down and pull you back basically locking you down unless you have sprint

What makes him a high ban hero is his teamfight potential,he can turn the tide of a teamfight if you know how use him. Besides that ,you frogot one more thing about the buff in minsi ult ,his ult can also trigger atk spd effects so dhs , corrosion sythe can use their passive to do so

Why minsit is most ban
1. His passive which stun
2.His hook where it can hook multiple enemies at a time
3.His second skill where you can spam his passive
4.His ultimate where you are restricted using a dash or movement type skill basically your Ultimate skill.
Why sprint works in his ulti its also move ment skill right
I'd say we should also see the enemy's perspective to understand what it feels like to have him as an enemy
His first skill can hook multiple heroes and can now goes with flip.
His second skill can block physical and magical (i think) dmg up to 50% from the front.
His ult loses its bonus defense, lasts shorter and has way longer cd.
I kinda like the old one for its 2nd skill quick stun more than the current one.
I main him even before he's revamp ,he is the universal flex hero, he can do all roles and gonall lanes, btw it breaks my heart watching how you use minsi haha

The chance for a 5 man hook is low, but no 0
A good pick against Minsitthar is Esmeralda, but you'll have to build some damage on her or going for tank build adapted to work against demon hunter sword and with ice queen wand or thunder belt with purify.
Actually, most heroes can work well against him if they don't have blink skills and their core items aren't tanky ones, because purify can do the rest; unfortunately, it became a forgotten spell since sprint's buff.
What? I saw 2 in enemy side take purify when they saw saber in my team. Can't say it's a forgotten spell.
When I see him get used and I play gloo, I have a big smile on my face as I know he's an easy feast. I personally don't think he deserves to be banned so often

In my POV, he's like a 90% of chances of winning teamfights. But in terms of solo, there are heroes that can counter him like X-borg
I played Xborg several times to counter minsi, and I choose Sprint for him over flicker.
Having enemy minsi in clash is so annoying imagine going in and u decide ur gonna lose so u WI escape then u can't dash out
If you use skill 2 you can attack towers way faster and its superb for pushing
The dps in his phalanx stance is insane by itself so i guess it's a mix of everything being powerful along with his ult and his pull
Elgin, your build. You should get atleast demon hunter and corrosion scythe. It drastically change his damage and attack speed, plus slow.

Actually there are 3 viable playstyles for him.
Burst to take out enemy squishies. (BOD, Heptaseas, endless battle, more dmg or def based on enemy team, best for exp)
Juggernaut to act as a hard to kill front line that can kill tanks/most fighters and slow enemies(DHS, corrosion scythe, thunder belt, remaining tank items based on enemy team)
And critical basic attack damage (scythe, berserker fury, scarlet phantom, 2 defense items to be hard to kill) for fast clear of jungle.
Alot of builds kinda work and he can go many different lanes. Even gold lane funny enough.
Did get mvp in low mythic in a 2 v 1 gold lane though I don't recomended.
You can use Minsi’s second skill for turret/main tower as well
I think it deals a lot more damage than his basic attacks
Came here to see if anyone mentioned this. He can smash turrents and base with that skill. My bro runs him all the time and he can push so good.

i started playing minsi in rank this season and i gotta say hes so good that my winrate are like 75% using him. i usually play him as a roamer

Minsi user here . I always won the MCL as champion and mvp
tanks I found helpful against minsitar during heat of team fight.
akai - with sprint he can ruin minsitar and his team's possible ambush and gank
baxia- with vengeance he will receive 1 dmg from minsitar and non burst type enemies and minsitar stays in his ult baxia's own ult with s2 can kill him. remember baxia also do hp dmg which has only 0.6 sec cd in late game whoever hug him is fkedup
terizala - if u ult in his ult u both gotta backoff coz both team will have some loss (Romer) if xp he useless against u
lapu - if played right minsi cant do anything to him (romer xp both)
alice- since my team never let me mage I found her hybrid build effective against martis minsitar both (xp,roam both work)
franco - hook is solution to all problems
jawhead - you gotta use sprint your ult is locked
yu zong - romer yeah work fine just hug him and dodge enemy mage
I not mentioning pure xp laners and other roles
coz as a solo player I always have to pick tank, coz a noob mage and mm can give you win if you know how to control ganks with your cc
A noob tank just ruin your hero no matter if u are god of mm or hyper noob tank never check bush never giving vision always run first and wait and see if you as hyper atking then only he comes back to fight or taking 5 man ult in other side of map like he see in YT and blaming others or always walking with u like computer and result in u feed and lose.

I severely miss his old 2nd skills shield and satisfying sound effect when it hit, now it's just press to attack which i find it's just not for me anymore
I usually use his 1st skill when the enemy is at the farthest range of his hook
Its much easier since it stuns the enemy when it hits, guaranteeing the pull
Tho, you can still use it in mid range if the enemy is slowed enough to escape before he pulls the spear

elgin forgot about one thing. grock near tower or wall cant be under cc so its mean minsittar cant hook him. attack speed misittar is crazy melting enemy like butter
Yes,he is. He is very effective in teamfights and his stun is sometimes annoying if youre fighting him. He is also a nightmare for Dash heroes.

Minsi has mass hook, is capable of mass stun and his area control is quite potent. But hes not OP but rather a nuisance in team fights forcing you to either target him or the enemy damagers like MMs and mages.

I have quitted ML October of last year, but this revamped made me go back as he one of my heroes that I became versed with out of initially trolling as. lol. Glad to see the r evamp, he can basically own anyway in the Exp lane except for Arlott and Martis. The rest, even Freya, Dyrot, and Xborg are Indian food. lol
80% win rate every time i use him *since revamp
Tbh whenever I use Argus, I even let Minsithar hook and use his ult to me since it's almost like suicidal for him
He’s good for team fights or during taking objectives like lord or turtle not to mention no one fear argus in team fight just cc is enough to stop him
His ult block dash hero like arlott , joy , freya , Harith who mainly rely on their dash skill to deal damage
As an Argus Main when I see Minsitthar it's either go in hard or go home.
When you are trying to prove if he needs to be banned at least use the right spell and build thanks
Also if you are using minsi you can counter yin just by using your 2nd skill on the domain facing his way, no need to buy dreadnaught armor
(You can do this when you buy tough boots which is also a great counter to martis and grock's cc skills)
And also because minsi is a frontline fighter I recommend to buy rose gold meteor that should minimize your chances to die on a clash

Well Elgin made a blunder this time
What Elgin failed to mention that would explain how Minsi went from LEAST PICKED to BANNED is how bad the previous version was.
Here's the comparison.
~Passive:
Get bonus gold from ally kills >>>> stun enemies by using skills or attacks, deal extra damage and heal HP.
~1st skill:
Pull 1 enemy >>>> Pull everyone
~2nd skill:
Short ranged weak stun >>>> buff that allows you to deal lots of damage while taking less damage from his front.
~3rd skill is nerfed to somewhat keep him balanced.
Minsi is being picked even in professional league like MPL as he makes the game hard for a huge pool of heroes. Heroes that are usually prioritized because of mobility like Lance, Fanny, Ling.
And on item building, corrosion scythe keeps the enemies inside his ult longer.
Reason he is banned now basically:
They gave him better overall kits then just being the hero known for stopping dashes. Now he is known as the hero who can Mass CC everyone and Mass Poke everyone... and stop dashes.
I’m Kagura main and it surprised me after his revamped Kagura can dash out from his ultimate with no problem 😂
crazy to think he was complete dogshit just a while back, and now hes extremely good
its cause he outright prevents some skill from being used
his ult completely silences atlas ult making him a hard counter to him even better than diggy
since a good atlas can switch to pickoff when there is a diggy
its the same situation as wanwan in the pro scene making it hard to draft when 1 slot shuts down multiple heroes
hes also one of the few fighters that can use the demon trinity which is a nightmare for tanks and front line since it cuts through HP like no tomorrow
you dont even need to use the demon trinity you can use only the golden staff and demon hunter sword and load him up with tank items and it would burn through frontliners like nothing
Minsitar is the only hero that cancel even the heroes traits. So most of the player banning him are mostly relay on leap skill which he cancels.
Minsi roam for me, he can do anything pretty much. Kadita is more like backline assassin but minsi is so flexible.
For me it's not really because the counter method is quite easy. If Minsittar is in Exp, use a hero who doesn't rely too much on Blink like Terizla, Gloo, or Yu Zhong for Roam, you can use Diggie, Rafaela for extra mov speed or use a Taunt hero like Belerick, Gatot or Hypernya like Fredrinn is quite annoying for Minsittar users and greetings from Indonesia Bro
can terizla use his s2 inside minsi's ult? that's the problem most people have with his ult, some damage skills cannot be used while inside it so you resort to either running away or doing normal attacks instead.
also taunt heroes are always annoying regardless of what hero you use hahaha
@@vaynelevant of course you can because S2 Terizla isn't considered Blink as well as S1 Gloo and Minsittar can't Burst Gloo because Gloo has high dmg reduction as well as Terizla or there is another option that might not lose either, namely Esmeralda but because Esmeralda isn't on meta so it's rarely seen
and the reason why I recommend a Hero with the Taunt skill when Minsittar becomes Roam is so that during war Minsittar cannot issue his Passive which is sick and annoying for backline heroes like Marksman or Mage and of course Dominance Ice is very influential and you can also use the Vengeance Spell for Minsittar that can also be Nice option
What made him ban worthy is his ability to shut down any high mobility heroes, especially with the current meta is about everything mobile. Even though his ult range is small, the ult can slow you down, especially if Minsi is using Corrosion + Thunderbelt, and if they somehow managed to escape he can pull them back with his 1st skill. With his new passive, he can fight non mobile heroes as well, as his 1st and 2nd skill combo is enough to actually kill a dashless hero even with hybrid build.
That hook is the reason he is banned
His ult with vengeance is very effective against semi tank hero
As he said, it depends on a situation
Reasons he is banned:
1. His kits provides AoE CC, sturdiness and sustain, and disabling abilities that counters most META Junglers or Fighters.
2. His versatility in roles from going Exp, Roam and Jungler which is similar to Esmeralda or Jawhead.
3. His fast jungle clear as Jungler and useful early game stuns as Roam/Offlaner.
4. His ult that disrupts almost every teamfights.
5. Last but not least, his Max HP% based dmg which is the trend of META rn (Karrie, DHS with Trinity, Minsi, Lunox, Hilda)
The only way you can counter meta/overpowered heroes such as (estes, faramis, ministhar, atlas or etc)... you can used "valentina"... Thats the only hero that can counter them in my opinion...
*Also dont forget that this hereos can counter them as well :
-diggie(counter atlas or cc heroes)
-valir(counter martis, hilda, masha)
-valentina(counter faramis, estes, and etc)...
Theres more but i think its enough to you guys think about "meta" or "overpowered" heroes....
The only reason i main him is because i love making those Gusion, Lance and Fanny mains cry
He's dangerous even for heroes without dashes 💀

Im old minsitthar former user. The biggest mistake i saw people do is only go on full tank build or roamer. He is more versatile then what people espect. Going full demage was not so bad after all . He have built in durability.
For me, he's best position is as a roamer.
Semi-tank build, so you can still add any type of shoes if you feel he's still slow at any capacity..
2 attack item, 3 defense item.
Very suitable as an initiator to open a war.
But you need to use him technically.
If you good at sneaky attack, better use him to lock marksman/mage
i totally agree especially with flicker in a match i ended up with 5/5/29 i got the or something and there was a match where every time fight we were in we won mostly because i pull there mm and mage and the icing on the cake when you pull 3 people at the same time it sounds Glorious
